Temnota a chlad vesmíru se ukrývají i v našich duších. Uvědomuji si to ráno, když jdu ulicí a lidé se dívají do obrazovek. Jejich oči jsou dávno mrtvé. Jakoby nás někdo ovládal na dálku. Vím akorát jediné, bůh to rozhodně není. Spíše nějaká přírodní síla, něco děsivého, šíleného, co je mimo naše chápání. Hodně často o podobných věcech poslední dobou přemýšlím. A poslouchám u toho nahrávky, jako je ta od BLACK HOLE DEITY. S touhle smečkou jste se u nás na stránkách již mohli setkat u příležitosti vydání předchozího EP "Lair of Xenolich" (odkaz naleznete dole pod recenzí).
Jedná se o kapelu, která je složena ze samých zkušených muzikantů (CHAOS INCEPTION, AZURE EMOTE, MALIGNANCY). Ti se opět sešli, aby nahráli skladby, které jsou technické, progresivní a syrové. Budete u nich muset přemýšlet a vyžadováno je i určité množství fantazie. Do mozku se vám doslova zadřou jednotlivé motivy a vy propadnete temnotě.
Je vám asi jasné, že nové album chce plné soustředění a nějaký ten čas, než uzraje. Některé skladby jsou komplikované, nepřehledné, neosobní. Tak na vás budou možná zpočátku působit, ale nenechte se mýlit. Po nějaké době zjistíte, že se vše usadí jak má a vy si album vychutnáte. Je to hudba pro gurmány, chápu ale, že mnohé právě komplikovanost odradí. Osobně se mi moc líbí, že i když se jedná o spoustu různě poskládaných vrstev, drží deska pohromadě, má jasný cíl. Začnou se před vámi odehrávat příběhy, které si budete pamatovat. A jako bonus dostanete také možnost pokaždé objevit něco nového. Zvuk, obal, produkci, nemá cenu ani hodnotit, pánové jsou natolik zkušení, že si na vše dali velký pozor. Jednotlivé songy se valí kupředu jako lavina. Opravdu, seděl jsem u přehrávače a představoval jsem si, že invaze z vesmíru už začala. Krutí vetřelci přiletí, aby to tady pořádně vyčistili. Od hnusu a lidské slabosti. A poslouchat u toho budou "Profane Geometry". BLACK HOLE DEITY se volně inspirovali u kapel jako MORBID ANGEL, CARCASS, AZARATH, IMMOLATION, ABYSMAL DAWN, NILE. A udělali to velmi elegantně a nebál bych se napsat svěže. Svět je poslední roky v takovém divném stavu. Kapela jakoby to věděla a dokázala to zhudebnit. Těžko se to popisuje, lepší je opravdu spíše poslouchat, než číst recenze. Koneckonců, názor si stejně uděláte sami. Za mě dávám plný počet bodů. Už jenom za to, že se kapela snaží posouvat hranice, objevovat, vydávat se jinými směry. Zároveň, a to je pro mě velmi důležité, se deska opravdu dobře poslouchá. Temnota a chlad vesmíru se ukrývají i v našich duších. Technický death metal, který vás přenese do jiných, děsivých dimenzí!

I've been thinking about things like this a lot lately. And I listen to records like BLACK HOLE DEITY's. You could have already met this pack on our website on the occasion of the release of their previous EP "Lair of Xenolich" (you can find the link below the review).
This is a band that is composed of all experienced musicians (CHAOS INCEPTION, AZURE EMOTE, MALIGNANCY). They have reunited to record songs that are technical, progressive and raw. They will make you think and a certain amount of imagination is required. Individual motifs will literally slam into your brain and you will fall into darkness.
You probably know that a new album needs full concentration and some time to mature. Some of the songs are complicated, cluttered, impersonal. They may feel that way at first, but don't be fooled. After a while you will find that everything settles down as it should and you will enjoy the album. It's music for gourmets, but I understand that many will be put off by the complexity. Personally, I really like the fact that even though there are a lot of different layers put together, the album holds together and has a clear goal. Stories start to unfold in front of you that you will remember. And as a bonus, you also get the chance to discover something new every time. The sound, the artwork, the production, it's not even worth rating, the gentlemen are so experienced that they have taken great care with everything. The individual songs roll forward like an avalanche. Really, I sat at the player and imagined that the invasion from outer space had already begun. Cruel aliens are coming to clean up the place. Of filth and human weakness. And they'll be listening to "Profane Geometry". BLACK HOLE DEITY is loosely inspired by bands like MORBID ANGEL, CARCASS, AZARATH, IMMOLATION, ABYSMAL DAWN, NILE. And they did it very elegantly and I wouldn't be afraid to write fresh. The world has been in such a weird state lately. It's like the band knew it and they could put it to music. It's hard to describe, it's really better to listen rather than read reviews. After all, you can make up your own mind anyway. For me I give full points. Just for the fact that the band tries to push the boundaries, to discover, to go in different directions. At the same time, and this is very important for me, the record is really good to listen to. The darkness and coldness of the universe hides even in our souls. Technical death metal that will take you to other, scary dimensions!
