Nemám rád loutky, ani panenky, nelíbí se mi různé figuríny a pokaždé, když je někde uvidím, cítím se divně a nepříjemně. Podobné to bylo i s novou deskou britských experimentátorů MALCONFORT. Když si totiž jejich hudbu poslechnete poprvé, budete zmatení a bude se vám zdát hodně nepřístupná a divná. Jenže znáte mě, rád ochutnávám, moc dobře totiž vím, že hudba nemá hranic.
S různými experimenty, free jazzem a dalšími progresivními prvky, vloženými do black metalu je to velmi těžké. Někdo má malou fantazii a tak to v životě neocení. Dalšímu to bude zase připadat málo uvolněné. Nutno rovnou napsat, že patřím někam mezi. Někdy mám na podobnou hudbu náladu, někdy ale vůbec ne.
Kapela si vzala jméno po jedné písni DEATHSPELL OMEGA, kterými se nechala také volně inspirovat. Stejně jako třeba VIRUS, GRUZJA, ORANSSI PAZUZU, SEA MOSQUITO, VED BUENS ENDE a dalšími experimentátory. Nejvíce se mi osvědčil poslech brzy ráno, když byla moje mysl čistá a odpočinutá. V tichu a rytmu kroků, když jsem šel kolem opuštěných továrních hal, vynikla síla téhle desky nejvíce. Představoval jsem si, že jsou uvnitř dávno opuštěné figuríny, které pomalu ožívají. Když hudba gradovala, přejel mi pokaždé mráz po zádech, byl jsem zmatený, neklidný, stejně jako motivy na téhle desce. Zajímavé je, že každý může hudbu na "Humanism" vnímat úplně jinak. V tomto případě platí více než kdy jindy, že je lepší poslouchat a udělat si svůj vlastní názor. Koneckonců, muzika je vždy soukromá záležitost. Ale to čtenářům našich stránek nemusím zdůrazňovat. Každopádně, někdy jsou skladby živočišné, surové, jindy chladné a odlidštěné. Podobně jsem se cítil u sci-fi dystopických románů. Nebo právě v továrnách, když stroje začínají svoji práci. Nebo to byli lidé? Nevím, poslední roky se rozdíly stírají. Jakoby do mě pokaždé MALCONFORT zasekli svůj dráp a způsobili mi v hlavě podivný neklid. I don't like puppets or dolls, I don't like the various mannequins, and every time I see one I feel strange and uncomfortable. It was similar with the new album of British experimenters MALCONFORT. Because when you listen to their music for the first time, you will be confused and find it very inaccessible and strange. But you know me, I like to taste, because I know very well that music has no boundaries.
It's very difficult with the various experiments, free jazz and other progressive elements put into black metal. Some people have little imagination and so they don't appreciate it in life. Others will find it too loose. I have to write straight away that I belong somewhere in between. Sometimes I'm in the mood for this kind of music, but sometimes not at all.
The band took its name from one of DEATHSPELL OMEGA's songs, which they were also loosely inspired by. As well as VIRUS, GRUZJA, ORANSSI PAZUZU, SEA MOSQUITO, VED BUENS ENDE and other experimenters. Listening early in the morning, when my mind was clear and relaxed, worked best for me. In the silence and the rhythm of the footsteps as I walked past the abandoned factory halls, the power of this record stood out the most. I imagined that there were long-abandoned mannequins inside, slowly coming to life. As the music graded, a chill went down my spine each time, I was confused, restless, just like the motifs on this record. Interestingly, everyone can perceive the music on "Humanism" in a completely different way. In this case, more than ever, it's better to listen and make up your own mind. After all, music is always a private matter. But I don't need to point that out to the readers of our website. Anyway, sometimes the songs are animalistic, raw, sometimes cold and dehumanizing. I felt the same way about sci-fi dystopian novels. Or just in factories, when the machines start their work. Or was it the people? I don't know, the distinctions have been blurring in recent years. It's as if every time MALCONFORT sticks its claw into me, causing a strange uneasiness in my mind. I don't like puppets, or dolls, I don't like the various mannequins, and every time I see them somewhere I feel strange and uncomfortable. Experimental, cold and dark black metal, the beating heart of human machines!
