Nepotřebuji nikomu nic vysvětlovat. Mám dávno svůj názor a směr. Každý večer odcházím na hřbitov, abych s nemrtvými podporoval hudbu, kterou mám rád celý svůj život. Proséváme mezi prsty prach našich předků, exhumujeme staré hroby, tančíme a užíváme si, dokud můžeme. Pokud máš chuť, klidně přijď mezi nás. Stačí, když přineseš pivo a musíš mít rád prašivý švédský death metal. Přesně takový hrají i XORSIST, mladá kapela ze Stockholmu, která je na tom stejně jako já a zombie.

O téhle smečce jsem již psal a to prosím pěkně loni, když na nás zaútočili svým debutem "Deadly Possession". Album se mi líbilo, je totiž stylově velmi dobře zahrané a pokud máte tenhle styl rádi, bylo pro vás doslova povinností. My, co trávíme svůj čas v podzemí, víme dávno své. Novinka se také povedla. Je takovým volným pokračování započaté morbidní hrobnické práce. Je propracovanější, divočejší a melodičtější. 


Mě už je vlastně dávno jedno, co se děje kolem. Nesledují zprávy, ani sociální sítě, raději se zavírám do starých kobek a poslouchám hudbu. Dám si pár piv a ochutnám další syrové maso. Moc dobře vím, že XORSIST pokračují v tom, co kdysi začaly kapely typu GRAVE, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED. V dnešní divné době je každý někomu podobný. Záleží vždy spíše na tom, jestli se povede přenést potřebnou temnou a chladnou energii na nás, posluchače. Téhle kapele se to povedlo na výbornou. Bylo mi ctí, tančit na hrobech v rytmu "At the Somber Steps to Serenity". Rád jsem si zavzpomínal, užil si zvuk (Iñaki Marconi - producer, mixing, mastering, Tomas Skogsberg - mixing mastering), s chutí se vždy podívám na stylový obal (James Campbell). Nové album je jízda od začátku do konce. Pánové sice nepřinášejí nic nového, ale to ani nikdo nechce. Hlavní je, že se usmívám já, zombie i nemrtví. Jak by také ne, když se zde hraje hlavně pro nás. Skladby jsou ostré jako břitva, shnijete u nich zaživa. Proti provedení nemám žádných námitek. Těším se, až se zase setmí a já se vydám na svoji pravidelnou cestu. Kývnu na pozdrav démonům, navštívím márnici a spočítám nové přírůstky. Jsem tu správně, zde se cítím nejlépe a tady vynikne hudba XORSIST nejvíce. Mezi temnými náhrobky s nápisy žhnoucími do tmy. Metal se má hrát srdcem, tvrdím to celý svůj život. A z téhle smečky cítím opravdovost, ryzost a nadšení pro hrobnické záležitosti. Morbidní exhumace starých švédských hrobů! Smrtící záležitost pro všechny nemrtvé!

I don't need to explain anything to anyone. I've had my opinion and direction for a long time. I go to the cemetery every night to support the music I've loved all my life with the undead. We sift the dust of our ancestors between our fingers, exhume old graves, dance and enjoy ourselves while we can. If you feel like it, feel free to join us. Just bring a beer and you must like dusty Swedish death metal. That's exactly what XORSIST, a young band from Stockholm who are just like me and zombies, play.

I've already written about this pack and please, pretty much last year when they attacked us with their debut "Deadly Possession". I liked the album, because it is stylistically very well played and if you like this style, it was literally a must for you. Those of us who spend our time in the underground know our stuff. The novelty was also good. It's a kind of loose continuation of the morbid graveyard work begun. It's more sophisticated, wilder and more melodic.


I don't really care what's going on around here anymore. I don't watch the news or social media, I prefer to hole up in my old dungeon and listen to music. I'll have a few beers and taste some more raw meat. I know very well that XORSIST is continuing what bands like GRAVE, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED once started. In these strange times, everyone is like someone. It's always more about whether you can transfer the necessary dark and cold energy to us, the listeners. This band did it perfectly. It was an honor to dance on graves to the rhythm of "At the Somber Steps to Serenity". I enjoyed reminiscing, enjoyed the sound (Iñaki Marconi - producer, mixing, mastering, Tomas Skogsberg - mixing mastering), and always look with relish at the stylish cover art (James Campbell). The new album is a ride from start to finish. The gentlemen don't bring anything new, but nobody wants that either. The main thing is that it makes me, the zombies and the undead smile. And how could we not, when it's mainly for us. The songs are razor-sharp, they'll rot you alive. I have no objections to the performance. I'm looking forward to when it gets dark again and I go on my regular journey. I'll nod hello to the demons, visit the morgue and count the new arrivals. I'm right here, this is where I feel most comfortable and where the music of XORSIST shines through the most. Among the dark tombstones with inscriptions glowing in the dark. Metal is meant to be played with the heart, I've been saying that all my life. And from this pack I can smell the sincerity, the purity and the passion for tombstone matters. Morbid exhumations of old Swedish graves! A deadly affair for all the undead!

K náhrobku s nápisem XORSIST jsem se vždy rád vracel. V tomto hrobě je totiž pohřbena muzika, kterou mám rád. Shnilé kosti, bílá lebka, žalující do tmy. Exhumace starého death metalu dopadla na výbornou. Navštěvuji hřbitovy již dlouhé roky a vyhledávám kapely, které hrají poctivě, od srdce, s jasným cílem - všechny nás pohřbít zaživa. Hnilobné procesy byly zahájeny.

A vy si tak můžete užít old schoolový smrtící kov, jak vystřižený z devadesátých let minulého století. Maso odpadává od kostí v šílených rytmech, vše objímá chlad a špína. Jedná se o debut, který si ale nezadá s nahrávkami o hodně slavnějších smeček. Vítejte v dávno opuštěné márnici, ve které leží zohavená těla. Stačí pár prvních tónů a zombie se probouzejí. 


Já i nemrtví tančíme v rytmech, které jsou všem notoricky známé. Ano, Švédi se inspirovali v undergroundových dějinách své země. Kapely jako GRAVE, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, DISMEMBER, nověji pak třeba první nahrávky MIASMAL, stály určitě vzorem. To ale nic nemění na tom, že se deska opravdu velmi dobře poslouchá a naleznete na ní spoustu zajímavých momentů. Zvuk, obal, vše je nádherně morbidně stylové. XORSIST navíc přidávají pořádnou porci shnilého masa. Mají drive a sílu, které se dle mého skromného názoru nedají naučit. Jedná se o talentované muzikanty, o kterých myslím ještě hodně uslyšíme. V současné době spousta smeček věří už jen obyčejným, nudným krematoriím. Tahle kapela na to jde ale trošku jinak. Postaru, se šílenou jiskrou v oku. Vždyť co může být krásnějšího, než obejmutí od sexy zombie nebo exhumace starého hrobu? Ne, odpovídat nemusíte, my staří fanoušci víme své. Líbí se mi naléhavost, mráz i temnota, které z "Deadly Possession" doslova cákají na všechny strany (jako krev z proříznuté tepny, jak jinak). Vrátili jsme se v čase, do dob, kdy tenhle styl teprve vznikal. Můžete mi tvrdit a proklínat mě, že tady už všechno bylo a pánové jen opakují již dříve slyšené. Jenže já vím své. Pokývám spokojeně hlavou a pošlu vás do pekla! Tady se totiž hraje opravdově, ryze, uvěřitelně. Ortodoxní švédský death metal, který vás pohřbí zaživa! Skvěle!

I always liked to come back to the tombstone with the inscription XORSIST. Because buried in that grave is the music I love. Rotten bones, a white skull, lamenting in the dark. The exhumation of old death metal was excellent. I've been visiting cemeteries for many years now, looking for bands that play honestly, from the heart, with a clear goal - to bury us all alive. The rotting process has begun.

And you can enjoy old school death metal, as cut from the 1990s. Flesh falling off the bones in mad rhythms, cold and filth embracing everything. This is a debut that can be compared to the records of much more famous bands. Welcome to a long-abandoned morgue where mutilated bodies lie. Just the first few notes and the zombies wake up.

I and the undead dance to rhythms that are notoriously familiar to all. Yes, the Swedes were inspired by their country's underground history. Bands such as GRAVE, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, DISMEMBER, and more recently the first MIASMAL records, were definitely inspirations. But that doesn't change the fact that the album is really very easy to listen to and you can find a lot of interesting moments on it. The sound, the cover, everything is wonderfully morbidly stylish. XORSIST also add a good portion of rotten meat. They have drive and power that in my humble opinion can't be learned. These are talented musicians that I think we'll be hearing a lot more about them. Nowadays a lot of bands just believe in plain, boring crematoriums anymore. But this band is going about it a little differently. Old school, with a crazy sparkle in their eye. I mean, what could be more beautiful than a hug from a sexy zombie or the exhumation of an old grave? No, you don't have to answer, we old fans know our stuff. I like the urgency, the chill and the darkness that literally drip from "Deadly Possession" in all directions, like blood from a severed artery. We've gone back in time, to a time when this style was just emerging. You can tell me and curse me that everything has been here before and the gentlemen are just repeating what they have heard before. But I know what I know. I shake my head in satisfaction and send you to hell! Because this is a real, pure, believable music. Orthodox Swedish death metal that will bury you alive! Great!
