Vždycky jsem si představoval, že zlo pochází z nekonečných chodeb podzemí, z močálů, které smrdí zkaženou krví. Jenže to není pravda. Nenávist a vztek je uvnitř nás samotných. Jsme jediný druh na světě, který se dokáže ničit mezi sebou. Dávno jsme ztratili pud sebezáchovy. Dobré úmysly bývají umláceny tupostí a hloupostí. Smrt má mnoho podob a čas, který máme vyměřený, je přesně daný. Než odejdu na druhou stranu, tak budu dál poslouchat desky, jako je "Rites of Gore".
Pomáhají mi totiž přežít v temnotě. Nevidím sice světlo na konci tunelu, ale cítím pradávnou energii, sílu, kterou mi dává jen poctivý, ryzí death metal. Blast beats, násilné riffy, HM-2 zvuk. Obal od Juanjo Castellano Rosada, na který se nemůžu vynadívat. Je mi tady se zombiemi lépe, než v reálném světě. To vám podepisuji vlastní krví.
Vzorem pro SENTIENT HORROR byli zajisté kapely jako EDGE OF SANITY, GRAVE, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS ale i třeba GOREFEST, CARCASS. Skladby jsou plné vzteku a špíny. Přikovají vás na zeď pevnými řetězy ukovanými z té nejkvalitnější oceli. Nikde nic nepřebývá, nikde nic nechybí. Pro mě osobně se jedná o nahrávku, které splňuje veškeré mé požadavky na pořádnou pařbu v márnici. Hudba musela být tvořena ve starých, plesnivých katakombách. Při exhumaci shnilých rakví. "Rites of Gore" masakruje, devastuje. Zůstává po ní jen spálená země, polámané kosti a lebky nabodnuté na kůly. Svět se možná postupně řítí do záhuby a můžeme si za to sami, ale dokud budou vycházet podobná alba, budu dál rád tančit na vlastním hrobě. Podala mi při poslechu svoji kostnatou ruku. Ona, samotná smrt. Zasekla do mě svůj ostrý dráp a kolem páteře jsem cítil mráz. Poznám podle toho hudbu, která je dobrá, má v sobě černé pestré emoce, drive a jiskru. SENTIENT HORROR hrají sice podle starých postupů, ale dělají to s elegancí a nadhledem. Vždycky jsem si představoval, že zlo pochází z nekonečných chodeb podzemí, z močálů, které smrdí zkaženou krví. Zhmotněno bylo ale i na "Rites of Gore". Morbidní, zničující death metalový atak!

They help me survive in the dark. I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I feel the ancient energy, the power that only honest, pure death metal gives me. Bands such as EDGE OF SANITY, GRAVE, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, but also GOREFEST, CARCASS were the inspiration for SENTIENT HORROR. The songs are full of rage and filth. They pin you to the wall with strong chains forged from the finest steel. Nothing is missing, nothing is absent. For me personally, this is a record that meets all my requirements for a proper party in the morgue. The music must have been made in the moldy old catacombs. Exhuming rotten coffins. "Rites of Gore" massacres, devastates. It leaves only scorched earth, broken bones and skulls impaled on stakes. The world may be gradually falling into destruction, and we can blame ourselves, but as long as albums like this keep coming out, I'll continue to happily dance on my own grave. She gave me her bony hand as I listened. She - death itself. She dug her sharp claw into me, and I felt a chill go up my spine. I can tell by the music that it's good, with black colorful emotion, drive and sparkle. SENTIENT HORROR may play the old ways, but they do it with elegance and panache.
