První noc byla ještě v pořádku. Snad jen kromě kruté zimy a chladu, které se ti usadily v kostech. Druhý večer se dostavil hlad a šílené představy, že tě někdo ve spánku zardousí. Probudíš se do tmy a slyšíš podivné skřehotání. Bojíš se, ale zároveň si zvědavý. Vydáš se za zvukem. Tvé tělo je rozedrané do krve. Jsi špinavý a unavený k smrti. Najednou zjistíš, že si na starém pohřebišti a rozmlouváš s nemrtvými.
Napíšu to rovnou, aby to bylo úplně jasné. Návrat TORTURE KILLER po dlouhých devíti letech se opravdu povedl. EP je takovou morbidní ochutnávkou a doufejme i příslibem dlouhohrajícího alba. Death metal v podání téhle smečky byl, je a bude vždy parádní. Stačí jen přidat hlasitost.
Každý riff, ať už klasicky death metalový, nebo thrashový, se mi zadírá pod kůži jako říznutí ostrým skalpelem (ve stylu starých dobrých SIX FEET UNDER, CANNIBAL CORPSE, OBITUARY, JUNGLE ROT, BLOOD RED THRONE, GOREFEST atd.). Finové hodně sází (jak už tomu v jejich krásné zemi bývá), na atmosféru a myslím, že při poslechu uvidíte spoustu přízraků jako já. TORTURE KILLER se sice nikam neposouvají, nenahráli zásadní dílo metalových dějin, ale jejich řemeslo je upřímné, zahrané od srdce. Koneckonců, jinak bych o nové desce ani nepsal. Oběšenec na obalu se kývá do rytmu a hromada lebek se směje do tmy. Líbí se mi i zvuk, ale hlavně melodie, které jsou vskutku podmanivé, ledové a syrové. Jsem opravdu někde daleko na severu. Dlouhé dny o samotě se na mě už podepsaly. Jsem jako death metalový mnich, který se celý den věnuje modlitbám. Pouštím si k nim samozřejmě "Dead Inside" a užívám si jednotlivé pasáže, řvu spolu se zpěvákem. Připadám si opravdu jako na starém pohřebišti někde hluboko v lesích. Nemrtví lezou z děr a dávají se do tance. Na náhrobcích jsou napsána slavná jména z devadesátých letech. Jeden je ještě volný, ale troufám si tvrdit, že na na něm klidně může hrobník vytesat jméno TORTURE KILLER. Kapela si to rozhodně zaslouží. Nové songy jsou totiž dokonalou esencí toho, co mám na tomhle stylu rád. Death metal, který vám přeláme všechny kosti v těle!

You wake up in the dark and hear a strange screeching sound. You're scared, but you're also curious. You follow the sound. Your body is torn to shreds. You're dirty and tired to death. Suddenly you find yourself in an old burial ground, talking to the undead.
I'm gonna write it right out so it's perfectly clear. The return of TORTURE KILLER after nine long years has been a real success. The EP is such a morbid taster and hopefully the promise of a full-length album. Death metal by this band was, is and will always be awesome. Just turn up the volume.
Every riff, be it classic death metal or thrash, digs under my skin like a sharp scalpel cut (in the style of good old SIX FEET UNDER, CANNIBAL CORPSE, OBITUARY, JUNGLE ROT, BLOOD RED THRONE, GOREFEST, etc.). Finns rely a lot (as it happens in their beautiful country) on atmosphere and I think you will see a lot of ghosts like me while listening. TORTURE KILLER may not be going anywhere, they haven't recorded a major work of metal history, but their craft is sincere, played from the heart. After all, otherwise I wouldn't even write about the new album. The hanged man on the cover is swaying to the beat and a bunch of skulls are laughing in the dark. I also like the sound, but especially the melodies, which are truly captivating, icy and raw. I'm really somewhere far north. The long days alone have taken their toll on me. I'm like a death metal monk who spends all day praying. Of course, I play "Dead Inside" and enjoy the passages, screaming together with the singer. I really feel like I'm in an old burial ground deep in the woods. The undead are crawling out of holes and dancing. The tombstones are inscribed with famous names from the '90s. One is still vacant, but I daresay the gravedigger could have carved the name TORTURE KILLER on it. The band definitely deserves it. The new songs are the perfect essence of what I love about this style. Death metal that will break every bone in your body!
