Vylézáš ven už jenom v noci. Děsí tě tupý dav kolem. Raději rozmlouváš s nemrtvými, raději trávíš svůj čas na opuštěných hřbitovech. Čteš jména na náhrobcích a přemýšlíš, co se jednou stane, až přejdeš na druhou stranu. Jsou kapely, které ve mě umí podobné myšlenky probudit. OPHIDIOUS jsou z Anglie a hrají ryzí, opravdový a uvěřitelný death metal ze staré školy. Umí být brutální, ostří, nekompromisní, ale nezapomínají ani na chladné a temné melodie. Narazil jsem na ně v jedné staré kobce, ve které byl pohřbený prokletý.
Vy, kteří posloucháte smrtící kov od devadesátých let minulého století, mi určitě potvrdíte, že skladby jsou opravdu velmi dobře napsané, že v sobě mají drive a takovou tu pradávnou sílu. Touhu ničit hudbou a pohřbívat zaživa. Je to vlastně prosté a jednoduché. Zase jsem si jednou sedl do sklepa, zhasnul všechna světla a nechal na sebe debutové album téhle smečky působit. Po několika hodinách se mi novinka dostala do krve i do podvědomí. Po nějakém čase jsem si řekl, že by bylo škoda o těchto démonech nenapsat. Doporučuji volume pořádně doprava!
Jedná se o hrubozrnnou, temnou a krvavou odrůdu smrti, která se kolem vás nejdříve bude plazit jako jedovatý had. Postupně vás uhrane, aby vás nakonec uštknula a vy padli k zemi v šílených křečích. Ve skladbách najdete velké množství zajímavých momentů, nahrubo nasekané tmy a atmosféry známé právě z opuštěných pohřebišť. Pánové exhumují staré hroby a dělají to s elegancí starých mistrů. Není to ale jenom death metal, který zde naleznete. Album je ušpiněné i mrazivým, špinavým black metalem. Oba styly jsou potom podávány ve velmi chutném koktejlu, který když vypijete, tak se budete stále vracet. Alespoň mě se to stalo. Když jsem kdysi dávno svoje stránky zakládal, chtěl jsem právě takovéto kapely podporovat. OPHIDIOUS jsou totiž uvěřitelní, opravdoví, jejich nová nahrávka hoří jasným černým plamenem. Platí zde více než kde jinde, že je lepší poslouchat, nechat se unášet na krvavých vlnách řeky beznaděje, než psát jakékoliv věty. Abych nezapomněl, pochválit musím jak zvuk (Mixed and mastered at Coiling Darkness Studio), tak majestátní motiv na obalu, který krásně morbidně dotváří celkový obraz. Navíc mě samozřejmě inspiroval k úvodu dnešního článku. "Forgotten Shrines of Heresy" je přesně tím druhem hudby, která bude dělat dobře nejen všem pamětníkům, ale i všem, kteří se rádi procházejí v krvavé mlze. Mraky jsou zase jednou hodně nízko a smrt čeká za každým rohem. Jakoby přede mnou ožívaly klasické hororové filmy s antináboženskou tématikou. Vylézám ven už jenom v noci. Děsí mě tupý dav kolem. OPHIDIOUS are from England and play pure, real and believable old school death metal. They can be brutal, edgy, uncompromising, but they don't forget about cold and dark melodies. I came across them in an old dungeon where the cursed one was buried.

The desire to destroy with music and bury alive. It's actually simple and easy. I sat down in the basement one day, turned off all the lights and let this pack's debut album have its effect on me. After a few hours, the novelty got into my blood and subconscious. After some time, I thought it would be a shame not to write about these demons. I recommend the volume properly right!
It is a coarse-grained, dark and bloody variety of death that will crawl around you like a poisonous snake at first. Gradually, it will bite you to death, and you will fall to the ground in mad convulsions. In the tracks you will find a large number of interesting moments, roughly chopped darkness and atmosphere known just from abandoned burial grounds. The gentlemen exhume old graves and do it with the elegance of the old masters. But it's not just death metal that you'll find here. The album is also stained with chilling, dirty black metal. Both styles are then served up in a very tasty cocktail that, when you drink it, will keep you coming back. At least it did for me. When I started my site a long time ago, I wanted to support bands just like this. Because OPHIDIOUS are believable, real, their new record burns with a bright black flame. It's true here more than anywhere else that it's better to listen, to let yourself drift on the bloody waves of the river of despair, than to write any sentences. Lest I forget, I must praise both the sound (Mixed and mastered at Coiling Darkness Studio) and the majestic motif on the cover, which beautifully morbidly completes the overall picture. Plus, of course, it inspired me for the introduction of today's article. "Forgotten Shrines of Heresy" is exactly the kind of music that will do well not only for all memoirists, but also for anyone who likes to walk around in a bloody fog. The clouds are once again very low and death awaits around every corner. It's as if classic horror movies with an anti-religious theme are coming to life in front of me. I only go out at night.
