Ležíš na studené podlaze a všechno na tebe padá. Vzduch je těžký a dusíš se. Do vnitřností se ti pomalu vkrádá pocit, že je v tobě něco shnilého, zlého, ošklivého. Chytáš hlavu do dlaní a přeješ si, aby ti vyskočil mozek z hlavy. Je to smutek? Je to strach? Už dávno nevíš. Odsouzen ke smrti, svým vlastním soudem. Chceš už jenom hudbu, která by ti pomohla přejít na druhou stranu. Funerální doom metal v podání španělských tmářů OF DARKNESS je přesně to, co potřebuješ.
Navštívil jsem mnoho starých rituálů, byl jsem účastníkem spousty seancí. V chladu a temnotě trávím většinu svého času. Ale tuhle smečku jsem ještě neslyšel. První i mnohá další setkání ale proběhla velmi dobře. Pánové umí složit zajímavé skladby, které v sobě mají zimu, tmu i bolest. Jsou naléhavé, sebezničující, drásavé. "Missa Tridentina" se tak ihned stalo mojí nedílnou součástí. Obzvláště ve chvílích, kdy jsem měl splín a venku byla mlha a smog.
Už teď se těším na podzim, na listí, padající k zemi, na pach hniloby. Myslím si, že v této době vynikne album nejvíce. Kapela ráda objevuje, hraje si s náladami. Nebyl to zpočátku lehký poslech, vždy jsem musel mít pochmurnou náladu. Když se tak ale stalo, byl jsem pokaždé pohlcen. Kráčel jsem po krvavých vlnách špinavé řeky Styx. Kolem mě se vznášela nafouklá těla mrtvol. V kostech cítím chlad a užívám si velmi dobře ošetřený zvuk (Javi Félez - recording, mixing, mastering), s chutí se dívám na obal. Občas to na mě přijde a musím ven. Probudím se v noci a album "Missa Tridentina" mi hraje do kroku. Šlo se mi ale vždy velmi těžce. Měl jsem pocit, že mi někdo celou dobu stojí těžkou botou na prsou. Občas jsme spolu s kapelou nahlédli do jiné dimenze, potkali přízraky a zanechali po sobě prašivou stopu. OF DARKNESS jsou zajímaví i tím, že jsou jiní, odlišní a mají vlastní výraz. Pokud jste obdivovatelé podobné hudby, neváhejte ani chvilku. Působí velmi majestátně, tajemně a magicky. Skladby v sobě mají velkou sílu, takovou zvláštní a těžko popsatelnou energii. Proséval jsem mezi prsty prach svých předků. Maloval jsem na zeď tajemné symboly. Slyšel jsem děsivé ozvěny ze záhrobí. A tohle všechno se dělo z jediného důvodu. Poslouchal jsem stále dokola desku "Missa Tridentina". Myslím si totiž, že se povedla po všech stránkách. Ležíš na studené podlaze a všechno na tebe padá. Vzduch je těžký a dusíš se. I've visited many old rituals, I've been to many seances. I spend most of my time in the cold and dark. But I've never heard this pack before. But the first and many subsequent encounters went very well. The gentlemen can compose interesting pieces that have cold, darkness and pain in them. They're urgent, self-destructive, poignant. "Missa Tridentina" immediately became an integral part of me. Especially at times when I had a full moon and it was foggy and smoggy outside.
I am already looking forward to autumn, to the leaves falling to the ground, to the smell of rot. I think that's when the album will stand out the most. The band likes to explore, play with moods. It wasn't an easy listen at first, I always had to be in a gloomy mood. But when I did, I was engrossed every time. I was walking on the bloody waves of the dirty river Styx. Bloated corpses floated around me. Feeling the chill in my bones and enjoying the very well treated sound (Javi Félez - recording, mixing, mastering), I look at the cover with relish. Sometimes it comes to me and I have to get out. I wake up in the night and the album "Missa Tridentina" plays in my step. But I've always found it very hard to follow. I felt like I had a heavy boot on my chest the whole time. Sometimes the band and I would peer into another dimension, meet ghosts and leave a scabby trail. OF DARKNESS are also interesting because they are different, distinct and have their own expression. If you are a fan of this kind of music, don't hesitate a moment. They are very majestic, mysterious and magical. The songs have a great power in them, such a strange and hard to describe energy. I sifted the dust of my ancestors between my fingers. I painted mysterious symbols on the wall. I've heard eerie echoes from beyond the grave. And all this was happening for one reason. I listened to the Missa Tridentina over and over again.
