Hromada mrtvých těl, vyskládaných v podivných pozicích. Připomínají loutky, které každou chvíli obživnou. Jenže se tak už nikdy nestane. Každé zemřelo jinou smrtí. Oběšení, utopení, uhoření, pokaždé to byla sebevražda. Říká se, že ti, co si vezmou sami život, nikdy nenaleznou klid. Ani když vstoupí na druhou stranu. Odsouzeni navěky budou bloudit mezi naším a oním světem. A budou také poslouchat novou desku death metalových maniaků OBSCURIAL.
Pozorný čtenář určitě ví, že jsme se u nás na stránkách s touto smečkou již setkali. Výsledkem byla recenze na debutové album z roku 2021 a rozhovor. Již tenkrát se nám líbilo, jakým způsobem pánové ke kovu smrti přistupují. Letos nadále rozvíjejí své morbidní nápady. Vítejte v plesnivých katakombách.
Novinka vychází jak digitálně, tak i na vinylu, kazetě a CD. Odkazy na jednotlivé labely najdete dole pod článkem (stejně jako na předchozí recenzi a rozhovor). Pojďme ale k hudbě samotné. OBSCURIAL se volně inspirovali kapelami jako DEATH, DEICIDE, GRAVE MIASMA, MORBID ANGEL, BLOODBATH. Přidali kus svých vlastních nápadů, vše zamíchali se špínou, nahrubo nasekanou tmou a výsledkem je smrtící koktejl, který když ochutnáte, tak budete navěky prokleti. Pro mě, jako fanouška staré, klasické smrti, bylo splněno vše potřebné pro pohřeb do země. Novinka má skvělý plesnivý zvuk (Afnan Azla - mixing, mastering, Afiq - engineerigng). Povedl se i obal, který ve mě evokuje právě přechod oběšenců na druhou stranu, do země nekonečných stínů. Autorem je Arifullah Ali. Skvělá práce! "Heretic" je mrtvolnou deskou, u které navštívíte stará, dávno opuštěná pohřebiště. Budete přítomni hnusným a smradlavým exhumacím, které když budou provedeny, vynikne síla tohoto alba nejvíce. Skladby v sobě mají takový ten poctivý drive a sílu, které jsou patrné jen u dobrých kapel. Tohle se dle mého nedá naučit. Muzikanti to musí mít v sobě. Musí mít touhu ničit hudbou. Malajci se s ničím moc nepářou, jsou nekompromisní, jdou rovnou na věc. Drtí kosti s nebývalou silou a když je potkáte v nějakém malém undergroundovém klubu, roztrhají vás na kusy. Rád se dívám do tmy, rád prosévám mezi prsty prach. Když poslouchám tuhle desku, když si ji rvu do hlavy. Hromada mrtvých těl, vyskládaných v podivných pozicích. Připomínají loutky, které každou chvíli obživnou. Jenže se tak už nikdy nestane. Každé zemřelo jinou smrtí. Hnilobně nakažlivý, temných a syrový death metal, který vás nakazí snětí! Černá krev!

The attentive reader will know that we have already met this pack on our pages. The result was a review of their debut album from 2021 and an interview. Even back then, we liked the way the gentlemen approached death metal. This year they continue to develop their morbid ideas. Welcome to the moldy catacombs.
The new album is released digitally, on vinyl, cassette and CD. Links to the individual labels can be found below the article (as well as the previous review and interview). But let's get to the music itself. OBSCURIAL were loosely inspired by bands like DEATH, DEICIDE, GRAVE MIASMA, MORBID ANGEL, BLOODBATH. They added a piece of their own ideas, mixed it all with dirt, coarsely chopped darkness and the result is a deadly cocktail that if you taste it, you will be cursed forever. For me, as a fan of the old, classic Death, everything needed to be buried in the ground was met. The new release has a great moldy sound (Afnan Azla - mixing, mastering, Afiq - engineerigng). The cover art was also successful, evoking in me just the crossing of the hanged men to the other side, to the land of endless shadows. The author is Arifullah Ali. Great work! "Heretic" is a corpse slab where you visit old, long-abandoned burial grounds. You will be present to the ugly and smelly exhumations, which when performed, the power of this album stands out the most. The songs have that honest drive and power that only good bands have. I don't think that can be taught. Musicians have to have it in them. They have to have the desire to destroy with music. Malaysians don't fight anything too much, they are uncompromising, they go straight to the point. They shatter bones with unprecedented force and if you meet them in a small underground club, they will tear you apart. I like to look into the dark, I like to sift the dust between my fingers. When I listen to this record, when I'm ripping it into my head. A pile of dead bodies, piled up in strange positions. They look like puppets that will come back to life at any moment. Only they never will. Each one died a different death. Rottenly infectious, dark and raw death metal that will make you sick! Black blood!
