Nicota. Prázdno. Počátek i konec, které se spojí v kruhu. Zrození a smrt. Jsme jen zrnka písku ve vesmíru. Žijeme v temnotě a snažíme se zachránit zbytky světla. Číslo v davu. Spočinutí. Někdy bývá zvláštní, jak na mě hudba působí. Kupříkladu nové album mých oblíbených GRACE DISGRACED má v popisku novinky právě slova o nicotě. Ihned jsem si vzpomněl na staré autory sci-fi knížek. Na jejich apokalyptické vize, ke kterým se postupně jako lidstvo dostáváme. Někdy pro mě bývá velmi inspirující opustit náš současný podivný svět a nechat se unášet na vlnách extrémních melodií.
Na téhle smečce mě vždy fascinovala hravost a schopnost napsat zajímavé a neotřelé melodie. Vždycky si sednu, zhasnu světla, oprostím se od všeho nedůležitého a jenom poslouchám muziku. Kapela se vrátila po čtyřech letech, aby opět rozdrásala moji mysl do krve. Nutno rovnou dodat, že se jim to daří na výbornou.
Základem je opět klasický death metal, velmi volné pokračování slavných DEATH. Přidávány jsou potom různé technické a progresivní prvky. Kapela má již dlouhé roky svůj jasný rukopis, hraje si s melodiemi jako šelma se svojí kořistí. Někdy jsou zemití, suroví a nekompromisní, jindy zase vznešení a majestátní. Fantazii se meze nekladou, ale zároveň drží nové album "Revoltality" pohromadě, je kompaktní. Opravdu doporučuji poslouchat v celku, jednotlivé pasáže na sebe totiž navazují, mají svůj jasný směr a účel. Navíc dostanete masivní a dobře čitelný zvuk (Arkadiy Navaho - recording, mastering, mixing) a obal, evokující naši temnou budoucnost (Aleksey "Erothanatoguru" Virus). Zajímavá je ještě jedna věc. Jakýsi neklid, chlad, temnota, melancholie, které z nahrávky slyším. Ostré riffy, ale i melodie, které se vám zadřou do hlavy, do podvědomí. Typický a ještě víc propracovaný a zajímavý hlas Poliny Berezko je nadále jasným rozpoznávacím znamením téhle smečky a dodává celému albu na ještě větší uvěřitelnosti. Ano, sešli se tu opět muzikanti, kteří přesně vědí, co a jak chtějí hrát. Povedlo se jim promítnout vlastní vize a talent do hudby, která je neklidná, zajímavá a rád se k ní vracím. Má v sobě takovou tu těžko definovatelnou černou a chladnou náladu, heavy efekt, chvěni chcete-li. Jsem už starý pes a hodně si vybírám, co si pořídím do své soukromé sbírky. GRACE DISGRACED jsou pro mě opět jistotou, povinností a pevným záchytným bodem ve vesmíru. Neznám nic lepšího, než chodit ulicemi, sledovat zachmuřené tváře lidí beze jména a poslouchat "Revoltality". Nicota. Prázdno. Počátek i konec, které se spojí v kruhu. Zrození a smrt. A number in the crowd. The twisted. Sometimes it's strange how music affects me. For example, the new album by my favourites GRACE DISGRACED has the words about nothingness in the new album's description. I immediately thought of the old science fiction authors. Their apocalyptic visions that we as humanity are gradually reaching. Sometimes I find it very inspiring to leave our current strange world and let myself drift on the waves of extreme melodies.
What has always fascinated me about this pack is their playfulness and ability to write interesting and novel melodies. I always sit down, turn off the lights, let go of everything unimportant and just listen to the music. The band returned after four years to once again tear my mind to shreds. I should add right away that they are doing a great job.
The basis is again classic death metal, a very loose continuation of the famous DEATH. Various technical and progressive elements are added. The band has had a clear signature for many years, playing with melodies like a beast with its prey. Sometimes they are earthy, raw and uncompromising, sometimes they are sublime and majestic. There are no limits to the imagination, but at the same time the new album "Revoltality" holds together, it is compact. I really recommend listening to it as a whole, because the individual passages build on each other and have a clear direction and purpose. Moreover, you get a massive and clear sound (Arkadiy Navaho - recording, mastering, mixing) and a cover that evokes our dark future (Aleksey "Erothanatoguru" Virus). One more interesting thing. A kind of restlessness, coldness, darkness, melancholy that I hear from the recording. Sharp riffs, but also melodies that get stuck in your head, in your subconscious. The typical and even more sophisticated and interesting voice of Polina Berezko continues to be a clear identifying mark of this pack and adds even more believability to the whole album. Yes, musicians who know exactly what they want to play and how they want to play it have come together again. They've managed to project their own vision and talent into music that is restless, interesting and a joy to return to. It has that hard to define black and cold mood, a heavy effect, a shiver if you will. I'm an old dog and I'm very selective about what I get for my private collection. GRACE DISGRACED are once again a certainty, an obligation and a solid clue in the universe for me. I know nothing better than walking the streets, watching the grim faces of nameless people and listening to "Revoltality". Nothingness. Emptiness. The twisted. Technical death metal polished to perfection, which will transport you to other realms! A dark, sublime opus! The nothingness and coldness of the universe!
