Spravedlnost byla zase jednou slepá. O vraha se přeci musíme postarat. Krásná cela, psycholog a dobré jídlo. Oběti nikoho nezajímají. Také vám připadá, že se svět poslední roky úplně zbláznil? Šílenství, nenávist a strach rozdělují rodiny. Dav v ulicích, válka na sociálních sítích. Někdy mám chuť se rozběhnout proti zdi a roztřískat svoji lebku. Nakonec to nikdy neudělám, raději si pouštím muziku, která mě dokáže uklidnit. Která umí pročistit mé myšlenky.
S francouzskými death thrashery ATROCIA se setkávám poprvé. Sedím v tichém pokoji a v televizi krásná moderátorka popisuje další vraždu. Album má dobrý zvuk (Arthur Lauth - Mixing, Zack Ohren - Mastering), připadá mi, že se riffy zadírají hluboko pod kůži. Baví mě neustále přidávat hlasitost. Vše dokreslují záběry z místa činu. Ve vysoké kvalitě. Emoce, smutek, strach. Nic jiného nezabírá.
Mám rád, když lidi hudba spojuje. Když songy fungují a mám u nich chuť rozmlátit všechny obrazovky, co mám doma. Vše krásně dokresluje apokalyptický obal (Giannis Nakos), který by mohl být klidně na nějaké dobré sci-fi knize. Už jsem si myslel, že bude můj život klidný a místo toho se opět otáčejí kola dějin. Řítíme se do záhuby? Nebo ne? Kdo to ví? ATROCIA nedávají odpovědi, ale umí mě odtrhnout od špíny, která je všude kolem. A hlavně - skladby jsou napsány velmi zajímavě, jinak, odlišně, originálně. Stále objevuji nové pasáže, momenty. Mlátím pěstí do stolu, podupávám si novou, křičím do tmy. Podle mého se takhle poznají dobré nahrávky. Musíte mít chuť se k nim vracet. Z "Contamination" navíc slyším určitý neklid, černou energii, jiskru, které mě vždy doslova připoutají k reproduktorům. Pro mě osobně se jedná o velké překvapení a skvělý zážitek. Najednou je mi úplně jedno, že svět kolem hoří. Jenom poslouchám a nechávám se unášet jednotlivými songy. Po nás přijde potopa! A nebo shoříme na popel. Nevím jak to dopadne, ale než se tak stane, budu rád a často poslouchat alba, jako je novinka od ATROCIA. Jedná se o třetí dlouhohrající desku a podle mého asi nejlepší. Důkazem budiž to, že mám "Contamination" i ve svém telefonu a poslouchám ji, když chodím ulicemi. Lidé kolem jsou skloněni k obrazovkám a připomínají zombie. Svět je dávno v plamenech! This is my first encounter with French death thrashers ATROCIA. I'm sitting in a quiet room and on the TV a beautiful presenter is describing another murder. The album has a good sound (Arthur Lauth - Mixing, Zack Ohren - Mastering), it seems to me that the riffs dig deep under the skin. I enjoy constantly turning up the volume. Everything is illustrated by crime scene footage. In high quality. Emotion, sadness, fear. Nothing else works.
I like it when music brings people together. When songs work and make me want to smash all the screens I have in my house. Everything is beautifully illustrated by the apocalyptic cover (Giannis Nakos), which could easily be on a good sci-fi book. I thought my life was going to be peaceful and instead the wheels of history are turning again. Are we plunging into doom? Or are we? Who knows? ATROCIA doesn't give answers, but it can take me away from the filth that is all around. And most importantly - the songs are written in a very interesting, different, original way. I keep discovering new passages, moments. I'm pounding my fist on the table, stomping a new one, shouting into the darkness. In my opinion, that's how you get to know good recordings. You have to be willing to go back to them. Moreover, from "Contamination" I hear a certain restlessness, a black energy, a spark that always literally puts me glued to the speakers. For me personally, this is a big surprise and a great experience. Suddenly I don't care that the world around me is on fire. I just listen and let myself be carried away by each song. The flood will come after us! Or we'll burn to the ground. I don't know how it will turn out, but until it does, I'll be happy to listen to albums like ATROCIA's new one often. This is their third full-length album and probably their best in my opinion. The proof is that I have "Contamination" on my phone and listen to it when I walk the streets. The people around me are leaning towards their screens and resemble zombies. The world is on fire! Death thrash metal tsunami!
