Další výzva, kterou musíš zkusit. Už sis nalila kyselinu do pusy, už si se nechala hodit do jámy plné hadů. Hloupá videa plná tupých, usmívajících se lidí. Jsi oblíbená? Chtělo by to něco dalšího, musíš překročit hranice. Zaujmout něčím hloupým. Jinak tě nebude mít nikdo rád. Tisíce příznivců, přesto žiješ sama. Už to nemá cenu. Nastavíš kameru, najdeš si krásný starý strom a přivážeš na něj provaz. Vážení a milí sledující, že tohle nedokážete? Oběsíš se, kýveš se do rytmu větru, zemřeš a zažiješ svých pět minut slávy. Druhý den si tě už nikdo nepamatuje.
Tenhle svět je někdy divný, říkám si, když otevřu ranní zprávy. Chodím tichým městem a všude je mrtvo, všichni se dívají do obrazovek. Poslouchám novou desku AD PATRES, která zní ulicemi jako apokalyptické memento. Surový, mocný death metal. Brutalita a ostré riffy. Pouštěl bych jej do ksichtu všem, kteří přestali používat mozek. Všem, kteří věří, že je země placatá. Nová deska vás rozemele na prach!
O kapele jsem již psal u příležitosti vydání jejich předchozího alba z roku 2019. Tenkrát mě na "Unbreathable" nejvíce zaujala jejich schopnost složit a nahrát skladby, které se mi dostaly postupně do hlavy, do mého podvědomí. Pamatuji si je dodnes. Francouzi i na novince nadále rozvíjejí své morbidní myšlenky a jsou ještě silnější, než dříve. Opět máme co do činění s k dokonalosti vybroušenou stylovou záležitostí. Základem jsou stále tradiční motivy inspirované volně kapelami jako KATAKLYSM, MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL, BEHEMOTH. Pánové svůj rukopis nadále posouvají do neprobádaných oblastí. Umí být divocí i nekompromisní, temní i chladní. Ve skladbách najdeme velké množství černé energie. Jako bych se díval na dívku z úvodu dnešního článku a nemohl nic dělat. Nakonec se stejně oběsí. Určitě znáte ten pocit, když máte někde hluboko v sobě uložený pradávný vztek. Občas musí ven. Někdo jde do ringu a nebo uběhne maraton. Já nemusím, mě stačí poslouchat stále dokola "Unbreathable" a po nějaké době je můj mozek čistý, prostý zbytečných myšlenek. Deska obsahuje i techničtější prvky, které ale nijak "neruší". Jsou předkládány tak nějak samozřejmě, lehce. Pro mě osobně se jedná o velmi návykový materiál, o hudbu, která hoří jasným plamenem. Zvuk, obal (Yohan «Haash» Hühner), nápady, tohle všechno dohromady tvoří velmi chutný koktejl pro všechny, kteří mají rádi promyšlený a inteligentní kov smrti. Hej, děvče, vypni všechny sítě světa, nech doma provaz a narvi si do hlavy raději tuhle nahrávku. Uvidíš, že vše bude lepší a uleví se ti. Mám rád, když ve mě dokáže kapela probudit nějaké emoce, nenechá mě klidným. AD PATRES mi letos hodili přímo do ksichtu syrový kus masa. Nechte si chutnat! Masivní, mocný, surový death metal, který vás roztrhá na kusy! Brutalita se potkává s temnotou! Masakr!

It's a strange world sometimes, I think to myself when I open the morning news. I walk through the quiet city and everywhere is dead, everyone is looking at their screens. I'm listening to the new AD PATRES album, which sounds like an apocalyptic memento through the streets. Raw, powerful death metal. Brutality and sharp riffs. I'd play it in the face of anyone who's stopped using their brain. Anyone who believes the earth is flat. The new record will grind you to dust!
I've already written about the band on the occasion of the release of their previous album in 2019. Back then, what impressed me most about "Unbreathable" was their ability to compose and record songs that gradually made their way into my head, into my subconscious. I still remember them to this day. The French continue to develop their morbid ideas on the new album and are even stronger than before. Once again we are dealing with a stylish affair polished to perfection. The foundation is still based on traditional motifs loosely inspired by bands like KATAKLYSM, MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL, BEHEMOTH. The gentlemen continue to push their signature into unexplored areas. They can be wild and uncompromising, dark and cold. There is a lot of black energy in the songs. It's like looking at the girl from the opening of today's article and not being able to do anything. She's gonna hang herself eventually. I'm sure you know the feeling when you have an ancient rage stored deep inside you. Sometimes it has to come out. Someone goes into the ring or runs a marathon. I don't have to, I just listen to "Unbreathable" over and over again and after a while my brain is clear, free of unnecessary thoughts. The album contains more technical elements, but they don't "disturb" in any way. They are presented somehow naturally, lightly. For me personally, this is very addictive material, music that burns with a bright flame. The sound, the cover art (Yohan "Haash" Hühner), the ideas, all of this together makes a very tasty cocktail for those who like thoughtful and intelligent death metal. Hey, girl, turn off all the nets in the world, leave the rope at home and cram this record into your head instead. You'll see that everything will be better and you'll feel better. I like it when a band can stir up some emotion in me, keep me calm. AD PATRES threw a raw piece of meat in my face this year. Enjoy! Massive, powerful, raw death metal that will tear you apart! Brutality meets darkness! Massacre!
