Někdy je velmi těžké se dívat do tváří některých mrtvých. Je v nich vidět velké utrpení a bolest. I dlouho po smrti, když proběhne exhumace, lze poznat, jak zemřeli a co za svého života prožívali. Jakoby se jejich příběhy otiskly i do death metalu, který hraje americká smečka WRETCHED STENCH. Z jejich hudby uslyšíte nářek nemrtvých, projdete se temnými chodbami hluboko pod zemí. Jedná se o prvotinu, přesto mi připadá, že znám kapelu odjakživa.
Ano, opět zde zní smrtící kov z devadesátých let minulého století. Je masivní, mocný, propracovaný a opravdu připomíná exhumaci hrobů, ve kterých dlouhé roky ležely mrtvá těla. Oběti násilných činů, kteří nikdy nenajdou klid. A také hudba, která vám rozdrásá obličej do krve. Smrt je tentokrát hodně krutá a ošklivá.
Žádné zbytečnosti, žádné kompromisy. Jenom nahrubo nasekaná tma, pachuť krve a spousta zajímavých melodií. Nic pro slabé povahy, spíše se jedná o záležitost pro staré hrobníky, pro zkušené patology i pro řezníky, kteří se často pohybují v blízkosti smrti. Líbí se mi, jakým způsobem jsou skladby napsány, obdivuji zajímavý obal a co se týká zvuku, tak u toho praskají kosti tlakem. Není třeba WRETCHED STENCH k nikomu přirovnávat, názor si uděláte sami podle ukázek, ale troufám si tvrdit, že album má v sobě velké množství energie a feelingu. Je pro mě vždy zajímavé, když potkám podobné maniaky. Kteří hrají postaru, s jiskrou v oku a touhou po krvi. Jedná se samozřejmě o hluboký underground, o muziku, která se hraje na opuštěných pohřebištích a v márnicích, ale tak je to v nejlepším pořádku. Pokud jako já rádi a často navštěvujete temná místa s divnou historií, mohu vám "Weaving a Web of Viscera" jenom doporučit. Také cítíte zatuchlinu? Také slyšíte ozvěny ze záhrobí? To se probudila další bestie. Učila se u starých mistrů, aby nám ukázala, jak se kdysi zabíjelo hudbou. Někdy je velmi těžké se dívat do tváří některých mrtvých. Je v nich vidět velké utrpení a bolest. I dlouho po smrti, když proběhne exhumace, lze poznat, jak zemřeli a co za svého života prožívali. Někteří poslouchali i tohle EP. Myslím, že nemusím dodávat nic dalšího. Lepší je přidat volume. Prašivý death metal z temných hrobek!

Yes, the death metal of the 1990s sounds here again. It's massive, powerful, elaborate and truly reminiscent of exhuming graves where dead bodies have lain for years. Victims of violent acts who will never find peace. And also music that will rip your face to blood. Death is very cruel and ugly this time.
No frills, no compromises. Just coarsely chopped darkness, the aftertaste of blood and lots of interesting melodies. Nothing for the faint hearted, rather this is an affair for old grave diggers, for experienced pathologists and for butchers who are often near death. I like the way the songs are written, I admire the interesting cover artwork and as for the sound, it cracks my bones with pressure. There is no need to compare WRETCHED STENCH to anyone, you can make up your own mind from the samples, but I dare say that the album has a great amount of energy and feel to it. It's always interesting for me when I meet similar maniacs. Who play old school, with a sparkle in their eye and a lust for blood. This is of course deep underground, the kind of music that is played in abandoned graveyards and morgues, but that's just fine. If, like me, you like and frequent dark places with strange histories, I can only recommend "Weaving a Web of Viscera". Do you smell mustiness too? Do you also hear echoes from the beyond? Another beast has awakened. She's been studying with the old masters to show us how they used to kill with music. Sometimes it's very hard to look into the faces of some of the dead.
