Pod nohama mi křupe zmrzlá země. Dívám se do tmy a čekám v černé noci. Už jsou zase tady, zlé přízraky, démoni ze snů, nemrtví, chřestící svými prašivými kostmi. Myslím si, že právě zde, na starém opuštěném hřbitově vynikne hudba veteránů UNANIMATED nejlépe. Kapela se vrátila po dlouhých 12 letech s novým řadovým albem. A musím rovnou napsat, že se neskutečně povedlo. Pokud máte rádi metalové odrůdy jako death, black, se spoustou mrazivých melodií, tak neváhejte ani chvilku.
Přiznám se, že bývám občas ke starším kapelám trošku skeptický, některé jsou již notně unavené. To ale neplatí o UNANIMATED. Ti působí velmi svěže, mrtvolně, chcete-li. Věřím jim každý tón, každou notu, každý záhrobní motiv, který zahrají. Ze songů je slyšet velké srdce, které tepe pro pravý metal. Navíc deska smrdí sírou. Vítejte v zemi nekonečných stínů!
Na UNANIMATED je skvělé, že mají svůj vlastní rukopis, originální ksicht. To bylo vždy důležité a v dnešní době nadprodukce to platí stonásobně. Švédy lze stylově zařadit po bok kapel jako DISSECTION, NECROPHOBIC, mají v sobě vznešenost BATHORY a zároveň si zachovávají zemitost severských melodických death metalových kapel. Za hudbou jsou cítit velké skladatelské schopnosti, pánové dokáží napsat skvělé skladby, které žhnou, gradují, ale dokáží být i tajemné a studené. Pocházet se mezi náhrobky s nápisy plnými smrti a temnoty musí dělat radost snad každému, kdo má rád klasický, tradiční metal z nekoneční Hádovy říše. Toulám se tmou a poslouchám "Victory in Blood" stále dokola. Užívám si silné melodie, perfektně zpracované vokály, studený, řezající zvuk. S chutí se dívám na obal, který přesně vystihuje to, co se na desce odehrává. Potřebuji z hudby cítit emoce, sílu a energii. Vše dodávají Švédi v exkluzivním provedení s černou jiskrou navíc. Podávám si ruku se samotnou Smrtí, klaním se démonům, přemýšlím v krutém větru. Nové album "Victory in Blood" mě rozsekalo po všech stránkách. Zní jako podmanivé, magické ozvěny ze záhrobí. Dokonale mrazivá esence melodického death black metalu, chladu, tmy, smrti a špíny!

The frozen ground crunches under my feet. I look into the darkness and wait in the black night. They're here again, evil phantoms, demons from dreams, the undead, rattling their mangy bones. I think it's here, in an old abandoned graveyard, that the music of veterans UNANIMATED shines best. The band has returned after 12 long years with a new full-length album. And I have to write straight away that it was incredibly successful. If you like metal varieties like death, black, with lots of chilling melodies, don't hesitate a moment.
I admit that sometimes I'm a bit sceptical about older bands, some of them are already a bit tired. But this is not true for UNANIMATED. They look very fresh, dead if you like. I trust every note, every note, every backwoods motif they play. From the songs, you can hear a big heart beating for true metal. Plus, the record reeks of brimstone. Welcome to the land of endless shadows!
The great thing about UNANIMATED is that they have their own signature, original face. That's always been important, and in this day and age of overproduction, that's a hundredfold true. Stylistically, the Swedes can be placed alongside bands like DISSECTION, NECROPHOBIC, they have the grandeur of BATHORA while retaining the earthiness of Nordic melodic death metal bands. You can feel the great songwriting skills behind the music, the gentlemen can write great songs that blaze, graduate, but can also be mysterious and cold. To come among tombstones with inscriptions full of death and darkness must make anyone who likes classic, traditional metal from the infinite realm of Hades happy. I wander through the darkness listening to "Victory in Blood" over and over again. I enjoy the strong melodies, the perfectly crafted vocals, the cold, cutting sound. I look with relish at the cover art, which accurately describes what's happening on the record. I need to feel emotion, power and energy from the music. All delivered by the Swedes in an exclusive performance with extra black sparkle. Shaking hands with Death himself, bowing to demons, thinking in the cruel wind. The new album "Victory in Blood" cut me in every way. It sounds like haunting, magical echoes from beyond the grave. Perfectly chilling essence of melodic death black metal, cold, darkness, death and filth!
