Je to už více než třicet let, co trávím svůj čas v temnotě. Pamatuji si to přesně, když jsem poprvé sestoupil do podzemí a začal hlídat vchod do záhrobí. Byl jsem ještě mladý a plný síly. Sedával jsem dlouhé hodiny u reproduktorů a na starých burzách jsem vyhledával kapely, které dokázaly drtit kosti tlakem. Švédští TOXAEMIA měli vždy čestné místo v mé sbírce. Jejich hudba v sobě měla vždy všechny potřebné ingredience pro to, abych mohl exhumovat další hrob.
A tak jsem se samozřejmě na novou desku opravdu od srdce těšil. Pořád jsem cítil takové to krásně bolestivé chvění ve vnitřnostech, jako za starých dobrých časů. Díval jsem se do tmy a nechal se unášet na krvavých vlnách řeky Styx. Opět jsem nemohl spát celou noc, nové album "Rejected Souls Of Kerberus" se dostalo do mých snů. Ulevilo se mi, vše je v absolutním pořádku. Rakve stále praskají tlakem.
Hlídám nadále vstup do podsvětí a poslouchám u toho tuhle nahrávku. Kolem stéká po stěnách špína smíchaná s krví, chlad se mi dostává do kostí a já moc dobře vím, že tohle je pravý švédský death metal přesně v té podobě, ve které jej mám nejraději. Chřestění pytlem plným popraskaných lebek, žádné kompromisy, surovost a pradávná síla, posbíraná na dávno opuštěných pohřebištích. Kapela je volně inspirována kapelami jako DISMEMBER, WOMBBATH, ENTOMBED, INCANTATION, MALEVOLENT CREATION, MASTER. Jedná se o záležitost, zahranou od srdce, opravdově. Je to samozřejmě stará škola se vším, co k tomu patří. Album má parádní masivní a řezající zvuk (Dan Swanö - mixing, mastering) a povedený stylový obal (William Persson Öberg). Můžu se tak soustředit na samotné nápady, kterých je opravdu velké množství. Nahrávka má několik vrstev, které když odkryjete, tak budete navěky prokleti. Líbí se mi takové to nadšení, opravdovost, neurvalost, které z desky slyším. Zkrátka a dobře, novinka řeže tou správnou stranou nože. Umírám a znovu se rodím. A pokaždé si rvu "Rejected Souls Of Kerberus" stále do hlavy. Beru do rukou kladivo a jdu rozdrtit další kosti. Rakve, uložené kdysi hluboko pod zem, praskají v úplně stejných rytmech, jako tahle deska. Legenda se vrátila ve skvělé formě a roztrhá vás na kusy. Starý, prašivý švédský death metal, který vám vytrhne srdce z těla! Chladné a temné ozvěny z toho nejhlubšího podsvětí!

It's been over thirty years since I spent my time in the dark. I remember exactly when I first descended into the underworld and began guarding the entrance to the beyond. I was still young and strong. I used to sit for long hours in front of the speakers, scouring the old stock exchanges for bands that could crush bones with pressure. Sweden's TOXAEMIA always had a place of honor in my collection. Their music always had all the ingredients I needed to exhume another grave.
So of course I was really looking forward to the new album from the bottom of my heart. I could still feel that beautifully painful tingle in my gut, just like the good old days. I looked out into the darkness and let myself drift on the bloody waves of the River Styx. Once again I couldn't sleep all night, the new album "Rejected Souls Of Kerberus" had entered my dreams. I'm relieved everything is absolutely fine. The coffins are still bursting with pressure.
I'm still guarding the entrance to the underworld and listening to this recording. Dirt mixed with blood is dripping down the walls, coldness is getting into my bones and I know very well that this is true Swedish death metal in the form I like it best. Rattling a sack full of cracked skulls, no compromises, brutality and ancient power, collected in long abandoned burial grounds. The band is loosely inspired by bands like DISMEMBER, WOMBBATH, ENTOMBED, INCANTATION, MALEVOLENT CREATION, MASTER. This is an affair played from the heart, for real. It's old school, of course, with all that goes with it. The album has a great massive and cutting sound (Dan Swanö - mixing, mastering) and a hilariously stylish cover (William Persson Öberg). So I can concentrate on the ideas themselves, which are really plentiful. There are several layers to the record that if you uncover, you will be forever cursed. I like the kind of enthusiasm, the realness, the rawness that I hear from the record. In short, the novelty cuts with the right side of the knife. I'm dying and being born again. And every time, I still rip "Rejected Souls Of Kerberus" into my head. I pick up the hammer and go to smash more bones. The coffins, once buried deep underground, crack in the exact same rhythms as this record. The legend is back in fine form and will tear you apart. Dusty old Swedish death metal that will rip your heart out! Cold and dark echoes from the deepest underworld!
