Na některých hřbitovech lze spatřit podivné stíny, které se procházejí mezi náhrobky. Pokud jste vnímavější na temnotu a zůstanete zde dlouho potom, co už je dávno brána zavřená, budete po zásluze odměněni. Schválně si to někdy zkuste. Vezměte si s sebou novou desku thrash death metalových maniaků z Norska SOVEREIGN. Je to sice první dlouhohrající album kapely, ale když si jej poslechnete pozorně, vůbec vám to nepřijde. Zvuk, obal, produkce, vše je na velmi vysoké úrovni. Pokud se pohybujete v undergroundu už nějaký ten rok jako já, budete určitě spokojeni.
Mezi hroby se začne ihned tančit. Mrtví s ještě trošku živými. Vztek, chlad i temnota, tohle všechno bude za zvuků "Altered Realities" létat vzduchem. Víka od rakví budou nadskakovat a kříže se obrátí směrem dolů. Mám rád starý, prašivý metal, mám rád, když praskají kosti tlakem. Dokážu stále ocenit, když hraje kapela opravdově a od srdce. A to tihle maniaci umí.
Důkazem budiž nové album, které odsýpá v rytmu třeba takových DARK ANGEL, SEPULTURY, NEKROMANTHEON, SOLSTICE, MALEVOLENT CREATION, PESTILENCE, DEMOLITION HAMMER. Je to přesně takový ten druh vichřice, který když začne, tak se roztrhají všechny pavučiny v katakombách. Toulám se chodbami v podzemí už tak dlouho, že někdy ztrácím přehled o realitě. SOVEREIGN mě ale ihned přikovali na zeď, pohřbili zaživa, roztrhali na kusy. Jsou špinaví, jako prašiví psi a hrají ostře a divoce. Troufám si tvrdit, že když tahle smečka uspořádá večírek, přijdou všichni. Zombie, démoni, i ta stará děvka smrt. Satan bude zase jednou sedět na svém trůnu a bude se usmívat. Kývám spokojeně hlavou, jsem tu správně. Pod touhle kapelou jsou podepsáni zkušení muzikanti, kteří moc dobře vědí, co a jak chtějí hrát. Mají jasný cíl. Totálně vás zničit. Nutno rovnou dodat, že se jim to daří na výbornou. Klidně vám to podepíšu vlastní krví, jestli chcete. Norové jsou rychlí, dynamičtí, ale dokáží vytvořit i velmi temnou a chladnou atmosféru. Dal bych si další pivo a nějaký malý klub, nejlépe hned vedle vchodu do podzemí. Skočil bych si z pódia, zapařil v mosh-pitu a když už bych byl unavený, ulehl bych do své rakve. A to vše za poslechu "Altered Realities". Nelze tedy jinak, než vám debutové album doporučit. Pokud máte rádi tradiční lámání kostí a pochmurné nálady plné špíny a smrti, neváhejte ani chvilku. In some cemeteries, strange shadows can be seen walking between tombstones. If you are more sensitive to the darkness and stay long after the gates have long since closed, you will be rewarded well deserved. Try it sometime. Take the new album from thrash death metal maniacs from Norway, SOVEREIGN, with you. It may be the band's first full-length album, but if you listen closely, you won't find it at all. The sound, the cover, the production, everything is on a very high level. If you've been around the underground for a year like me, you'll be pleased.
You'll start dancing among the graves immediately. The dead with the still slightly alive. Anger, coldness and darkness, all this will fly through the air to the sounds of "Altered Realities". The coffin lids will pop up and the crosses will turn downwards. I like old, dusty metal, I like my bones cracking from the pressure. I can still appreciate it when a band plays with real heart. And that's what these maniacs can do.
The proof is the new album, which is set to the rhythm of such bands as DARK ANGEL, SEPULTURY, NEKROMANTHEON, SOLSTICE, MALEVOLENT CREATION, PESTILENCE, DEMOLITION HAMMER. It's exactly the kind of whirlwind that when it starts, all the cobwebs in the catacombs get torn apart. I've been wandering the corridors of the underground for so long that sometimes I lose track of reality. But SOVEREIGN immediately pinned me to the wall, buried me alive, ripped me apart. They're dirty, like mangy dogs, and they play sharp and fierce. I dare say if this pack throws a party, everyone will come. Zombies, demons, even that old bitch Death. Satan will once again sit on his throne and smile. I nod my head in satisfaction, I'm right here. This band is signed by experienced musicians who know exactly what they want to play and how they want to play it. They have a clear goal. To totally destroy you. It must be added that they are doing a great job. I'll sign it in my own blood if you like. The Norwegians are fast, dynamic, but they can also create a very dark and cold atmosphere. I'd like another beer and a small club, preferably next to the entrance to the underground. I'd jump off the stage, smoke a mosh pit and when I was tired, I'd lie down in my coffin. All while listening to "Altered Realities". So I can't help but recommend this debut album to you. If you like traditional bone breaking and gloomy moods full of dirt and death, don't hesitate a moment. In some cemeteries, strange shadows can be seen walking among the tombstones.
