Lidé chtějí krev, víc krve. Násilí je přitahuje jako můry světlo. Veřejné popravy, stále jsme jen trošku chytřejší zvířata. Vyhledáváme extrémy, abychom ukojili svoji touhu po lovu. Důkazem budiž i nové EP šílenců SCALPEL. Death grindová jízda s krvavým otiskem. Spousta zajímavých momentů, masivní zvuk, obal, který nenechá nikoho na pochybách. Tohle je přesně masakr podle mého gusta.
Jako když vám někdo ustřelí hlavu brokovnicí. Tak zní novinka "Century in the Boilpit". Je přesně tím druhem hudby, který vás nenechá v klidu. Budete neustále přidávat hlasitost, dívat se do tmy a ucítíte v zádech chlad. Ano, tahle nahrávka smrdí špínou a hnisem.
Pokud jste někdy byli u veřejné pitvy, asi víte o čem píšu. Poslouchat "Century in the Boilpit" je jako se dívat na vyhřezlé vnitřnosti zasažené snětí. Odkazy na DEATH, CARCASS, MORBID ANGEL lze zaslechnout, ale nijak neruší, jsou spíše inspirací, než pouhou kopií. Naopak, kapela se snaží přinést spoustu svých nápadů a nových motivů. Myslím si, že se jim to daří na výbornou. Mají svůj rukopis, jen se vám musí podobná hudba líbit. Novinku si užívám, rád se k ní vracím. Stala pro mě stínem, noční můrou, na kterou myslím, kudy chodím. Nahrávka zní navíc velmi uvěřitelně, je divoká, šílená a rozdrásá vám obličej do krve. Je to samozřejmě extrém, muzika, která jde za hranu, ale takhle to máme přeci moc rádi, ne? Poslouchám letošní EP SCALPEL s velkou chutí a připadám si, jako bych byl přímo v nějakém starém hororovém snímku. Nebo to je krutá realita? Netuším. Jistý jsem si ale s jednou věcí. Tahle smečka moc dobře ví, co chce a jde si za tím jako šelma na lovu. Je hrozně příjemné být obětí jejich hudby. Skladby se do mě zadírají jako ostrý nůž. Vylezou ze mě červi a stanu se konečně zombie. Vyhledáváme extrémy, abychom ukojili svoji touhu po lovu. Důkazem budiž i nové EP šílenců SCALPEL. Like someone blowing your head off with a shotgun. That's the new "Century in the Boilpit". It's exactly the kind of music that won't leave you alone. You'll keep turning up the volume, looking into the darkness and feeling the chill in your back. Yes, this record reeks of filth and pus.
If you've ever been to a public autopsy, you probably know what I'm writing about. Listening to "Century in the Boilpit" is like looking at an eviscerated intestine hit with anthrax. References to DEATH, CARCASS, MORBID ANGEL can be heard, but they don't distract in any way, they are more inspiration than mere copy. On the contrary, the band tries to bring a lot of their own ideas and new themes. I think they are doing a great job. They have their own signature, you just have to like music like this. I enjoy the new stuff, I like to come back to it. It has become a shadow for me, a nightmare that I think about where I walk. The record also sounds very believable, it's wild, crazy and will rip your face to shreds. It's extreme, of course, music that goes over the edge, but that's how we like it, isn't it? I'm listening to this year's SCALPEL EP with great gusto and I feel like I'm right in an old horror movie. Or is that a harsh reality? I have no idea. But I am sure of one thing. This pack knows exactly what it wants and it goes after it like a beast on the prowl. It's awfully nice to be a victim of their music. The songs cut into me like a sharp knife. The worms come out of me and I become a zombie at last. We seek out extremes to satisfy our desire to hunt. The new EP from the madmen SCALPEL is proof of that. Lots of interesting moments, massive sound, a cover that leaves no one in doubt. This is exactly the kind of carnage I like. Death grind ride with a bloody imprint!
