Uprostřed starého pohřebiště v lesích stojí postava. Z očí jí teče krev a když se na vás podívá, tak slyšíte její jedovatý šepot. Netušíte, jestli jste živí nebo jestli jste už přešli na druhou stranu. Už dávno ale moc dobře víte, že smrt není to nejhorší. Bolest totiž pokračuje. Jdete pomalu k té šílené postavě a našlapujete opatrně. Pod nohama vám křupají staré kosti. Jste roztrhání na kusy a hozeni do studeného hrobu. Podíváte se nahoru a přečtete si jméno na náhrobku. HORRIFYING. Kapela z chilského podzemí, která hraje klasický, tradiční death metal.
A hrají jej velmi dobře. Ožívají u něj přízraky, budete potkávat dlouhé stíny. Kapela je uvěřitelná, reálná, divoká a ihned vás převede na druhou stranu, za řeku Styx, do Hádovi říše. Pánové jsou jako smečka psů, kteří hlídají vchod do podzemí. Mohu vám jenom potvrdit, že nové album hoří jasným černým plamenem.
HORRIFYING čerpali inspiraci jak v americké (DEATH, INCANTATION, DISMA), tak i evropské (PESTILENCE) smrtící škole. Dělají to ale velmi elegantně, nejsou jen dnes tolik častou kopií. Naopak, snaží se přidávat i velkou spoustu svých nápadů, mají vlastní výraz a ksicht. Hodně k tomu přispívá prašivý, smradlavý zvuk (Pablo Clares), rád se dívám i na povedený obal (Bubonic Artworks). Po formální stránce bylo uděláno vše pro to, aby byli fanoušci spokojeni. Je pro mě velmi příjemné se zavřít každou noc do staré márnice a drtit v ní kosti v rytmu "Dreadful Parasomnia". Songy v sobě mají potřebnou sílu, drive, pánové se s ničím moc nepářou. Raději ihned zaútočí, pohřbí vás zaživa, než aby chodili okolo ohně. Zůstává po nich jenom spálená země. Líbí se mi styl a způsob, jakým tahle smečka ke své hrobnické práci přistupuje. Je uvěřitelná, syrová, dokáže mě pokaždé roztrhat na kusy. Zkrátka a dobře, pokud jste staří metaloví psi, vyrůstali jste a vaše první setkání s extrémní hudbou se odehrávala v devadesátých letech, potom neváhejte ani chvilku. Je to smršť, tsunami, je to vichřice, po které budete očištěni. Já se při poslechu opravdu cítím, jako bych navštívil nějaké staré pohřebiště. Procházím se mezi čerstvě exhumovanými hroby, nasávám pach rozkládajících se těl. Uprostřed hřbitova stojí postava. Z očí jí teče krev a když se na vás podívá, tak slyšíte její jedovatý šepot. Hnilobou a zkaženou krví nasáklý, starý prašivý death metal, u kterého se rozpadnete v prach! Temné ozvěny ze záhrobí!

HORRIFYING. A band from the Chilean underground, playing classic, traditional death metal.
And they play it very well. It brings ghosts to life, you'll meet long shadows. The band is believable, real, wild and immediately transports you to the other side, beyond the river Styx, to the realm of Hades. The gentlemen are like a pack of dogs guarding the entrance to the underground. I can only confirm that the new album burns with a bright black flame.
HORRIFYING drew inspiration from both the American (DEATH, INCANTATION, DISMA) and European (PESTILENCE) schools of death. But they do it very elegantly, they are not just a copy so common nowadays. On the contrary, they try to add a lot of their own ideas as well, they have their own expression and face. The dusty, smelly sound (Pablo Clares) contributes a lot to this, and I like to look at the hilarious cover art (Bubonic Artworks). Formally, everything has been done to keep the fans happy. I find it very pleasant to lock myself in an old morgue every night and crush my bones to the beat of "Dreadful Parasomnia". The songs have the necessary power in them, drive, the gentlemen don't mess with anything too much. They'd rather attack immediately, bury you alive, than walk around a fire. All they leave behind is scorched earth. I like the style and the way this pack approaches their work as gravediggers. It's believable, it's raw, it can tear me apart every time. In short, if you're an old metal dog, grew up and your first encounters with extreme music were in the 90's, then don't hesitate a moment. It is a whirlwind, a tsunami, it is a whirlwind after which you will be purified. I really feel like I'm visiting an old burial ground.
