Jsou hřbitovy, na které se pokaždé vždycky moc rád vracím. Existují staré márnice, ve kterých jsou těla do rakví připravována ještě klasicky, postaru. S takovou tou krvavou jiskrou v oku, s touhou zabíjet hudbou. Myslím si, že slovenské DEHYDRATED není třeba představovat. Jedná se totiž o přesně takový ten druh kapely, která i když má své krvavé kořeny v devadesátých letech minulého století, tak stále dokáže zabíjet ostrými melodiemi, zničujícími bicími i chorobným vokálem.
Je to stará škola ve své krystalické podobě. Valivé riffy, připomínající buldozer hrnoucí před sebou hromadu z kostí a lebek. Pánové i letos odkrývají další hromadný hrob a dělají to s elegancí a zkušenostmi starých mistrů. Nové EP je dokonalou esencí toho, co mám na stylu zvaném death metal rád. Syrové pasáže se zde potkávají s mrtvolnou atmosférou. Kvalita je zaručena a nový materiál odsýpá jako písek v hodinách odpočítávajících čas, který vám ještě zbývá.
DEHYDRATED jsou perfektně seřízeným strojem za zabíjení. Už jenom ten zvuk, který je masivní, dobře čitelný a chladný jako ruka zombie (Matúš "Mattes" Homola - mixing, mastering), dává jasně najevo, že tu máme co do činění s pořádně rozzuřenými šelmami. Na novém EP "Victim" najdeme pestrou paletu morbidních nálad. Ať už jsou to mrazivé pasáže, postupně se zadírající do morku kostí nebo rychlé momenty, pokaždé se slovenští bardi trefují přímo a přesně na solar plexus. My, staří death metaloví psi, moc dobře víme, že síla těchto songů vynikne nejvíce naživo, při divokých koncertech. Nebo také v dávno opuštěných márnicích, na pitevnách nebo na jatkách, na kterých se psaly krvavé dějiny lidské nenávisti. Líbí se mi, že jde kapela přímo na věc, nenaleznete zde žádné zbytečnosti. Pánové přistupují ke své kruté práci podobným způsobem, jako kapely typu MASSACRE, BENEDICTION, PESTILENCE, SINISTER, BOLT THROWER, SIX FEET UNDER, DEATH, OBITUARY. Samozřejmě, s vlastním ksichtem, výrazem a nápady. Nevím, čím to je, ale kapela na mě poslední roky, po svém návratu, působí jako politá mrtvou vodou. Ze skladeb cítím pradávnou touhu zabíjet, takový ten surový základ, který se dle mého nedá snad ani naučit. Musíte jej mít v sobě, musíte věřit tomu, co hrajete. A DEHYDRATED tohle všechno umí. Jsou uvěřitelní, opravdoví. Zkrátka a dobře, tahle smečka patří mezi kapely, které se musí poslouchat srdcem. Amen. Jsou hřbitovy, na které se pokaždé vždycky moc rád vracím. There are cemeteries that I always love to go back to. There are old mortuaries where the bodies are prepared for the coffins the old-fashioned way. With that bloody sparkle in the eye, the desire to kill with music. I think that Slovak DEHYDRATED needs no introduction. This is exactly the kind of band that, even though it has its bloody roots in the 1990s, still manages to kill with sharp melodies, devastating drums and sick vocals.
It's old school in its crystalline form. Rolling riffs, reminiscent of a bulldozer throwing a pile of bones and skulls in front of it. The gents continue to uncover another mass grave this year, and they do it with the elegance and experience of the old masters. The new EP is the perfect essence of what I love about the style called death metal. Raw passages meet deadpan atmosphere here. The quality is guaranteed and the new material slips away like sand in a clock counting down the time you have left.
DEHYDRATED are a perfectly aligned killing machine. The sound alone, which is massive, clear and cold as a zombie's hand (Matúš "Mattes" Homola - mixing, mastering), makes it clear that we are dealing with some seriously angry beasts. On the new EP "Victim" we find a variety of morbid moods. Whether it's the chilling passages, gradually digging into your bones, or the fast-paced moments, each time the Slovak bards hit the solar plexus directly and precisely. We, the old death metal dogs, know very well that the power of these songs shines out the most live, at wild concerts. Or in long-abandoned morgues, autopsy rooms or slaughterhouses, where the bloody history of human hatred was written. I like the fact that the band goes straight to the point, you won't find any superfluities here. The gentlemen approach their cruel work in a similar way to bands like MASSACRE, BENEDICTION, PESTILENCE, SINISTER, BOLT THROWER, SIX FEET UNDER, DEATH, OBITUARY. Of course, with their own face, expression and ideas. I don't know what it is, but the band seems to me as if it has been poured with dead water for the last few years after its comeback. From the songs I can feel the ancient desire to kill, such a raw base, which in my opinion can't be taught. You have to have it in you, you have to believe in what you're playing. And DEHYDRATED can do all that. They're believable, they're real. In short, this pack is one of those bands that you have to listen to with your heart. Amen.
