Měl jsem zase jednou pocit, že svět kolem mě je hnusný a ošklivý. Přestal jsem postupně mluvit a stal se svým vlastním stínem. Je nemrtvý, říkali o mě a měli svým způsobem pravdu. Vyhýbal jsem se světlu a moje kroky vždy směřovaly na staré hřbitovy. Pod rouškou tmy jsem exhumoval staré hroby i death metal, který kdysi v devadesátých letech formoval i můj pohled na svět. Poslední roky si říkám, že je mi zde, ve starých katakombách lépe, než mezi živými.
Dnešní doba je skvělá v tom, že se ke mě dostane i hudba, kterou bych jinak přehlédl. Stačilo několik prvních tónů a obal, který mě ihned zaujal a byl jsem proklet. V Bulharsku byla v roce 2020 založena kapela CERTAIN DEMISE. Ta letos přichází se svým prvním EP. Po několika singlech, demonahrávce, jsou znovu otevřeny staré rakve. Tohle je death metal, u kterého shnijete zaživa!
Pánové nekompromisně uctívají smečky jako BAPHOMET, BANISHED, ROTTREVORE, MORTA SKULD, RESURRECTION, INFESTER, FUNEBRE. Prašivý, surový zvuk, atmosféra, která vás doslova zahltí tmou. CERTAIN DEMISE hrají krutě a ošklivě. Mám neodbytný pocit, že musím znovu ohledat dávno mrtvé tělo. Zajímavé je, že svůj čas raději trávím v podzemí, ve starých chladných katakombách. Beru si s sebou EP "Profane Chants of the Forsaken" a spokojeně se usmívám já, všichni démoni i samotná Smrt. Bulhaři exhumovali staré pořádky po svém, uvěřitelně a s nadšením pro poslední věci člověka. Tohle není žádná dnešní umělá produkce, ale na hrubé kusy natrhané maso, které vám kapela hodí přímo do ksichtu. Podávám ruku přízrakům a zavíráme se do studených kobek. Zde, mezi dávno rozpadlými rakvemi, vynikne hudba těchto šílenců nejlépe. Jedná se o vskutku povedenou stylovou záležitost. Kapela sice neobjevuje nic nového, ale baví mě je poslouchat. Věřím jim jejich morbidní práci. Nezbývá nic jiného, než vzít do rukou zase lopatu a vydat se do rohu hřbitova. Přidat hlasitost a když mám hotovo, tak ulehnu do márnice. Mezi ostatní, kteří uctívají ryzí a ortodoxní smrtící kov. Venku se opět setmělo a já vím, že musím zase ven. Čeká mě dlouhá cesta bez konce. Once again, I had the feeling that the world around me was ugly and nasty. I gradually stopped talking and became my own shadow. He's undead, they said of me, and in a way they were right. I avoided the light and my steps always went to the old cemeteries. Under the cover of darkness, I exhumed old graves and death metal, which once shaped my worldview in the nineties. For the last few years I have been telling myself that I am better off here, in the old catacombs, than among the living.
Today is a great time in that music that I would have otherwise overlooked reaches me. All it took was the first few notes and a cover that immediately caught my attention and I was cursed. CERTAIN DEMISE was founded in Bulgaria in 2020. This year, they come out with their first EP. After a few singles, a demo, old coffins are opened again. This is death metal that makes you rot alive!
Gentlemen uncompromisingly worship packs like BAPHOMET, BANISHED, ROTTREVORE, MORTA SKULD, RESURRECTION, INFESTER, FUNEBRE. A dusty, raw sound, an atmosphere that literally overwhelms you with darkness. CERTAIN DEMISE play cruel and ugly. I have an insistent feeling that I have to look for a long dead body again. Interestingly, I prefer to spend my time underground, in the cold old catacombs. I take the "Profane Chants of the Forsaken" EP with me and smile with satisfaction at myself, all the demons and Death itself. The Bulgarians have exhumed the old order in their own way, believably and with enthusiasm for the last things of man. This is not today's artificial production, but roughly torn meat that the band throws right in your face. I shake hands with the phantoms and we close ourselves in the cold dungeons. It is here, amongst the long decayed coffins, that the music of these madmen shines at its best. This is a really good stylish affair. The band is not discovering anything new, but I enjoy listening to them. I trust their morbid work. There is nothing left to do but to pick up the shovel again and head to the corner of the cemetery. Turn up the volume and when I'm done, I'll lie down in the morgue. Among others who worship the pure and orthodox death metal. It's dark outside again and I know I have to get out again. I have a long journey ahead of me with no end in sight. I'm gonna listen to this record along the way, because it's really good.
