Trvalo to dlouhé roky. Zesměšňovali ho, posmívali se mu. Byl jejich otrokem i terčem. Nikdy se nezařadil, nikdy nesklonil hlavu. Měl problém s autoritami i s tupým davem. Často se díval k nebi a prosil Boha, aby mu pomohl. Odpověď nikdy nepřišla. Říkali mu, že je ošklivý a že skoro nemluví. Žil jen ve stínu a nesnášel hloupé řeči. Jednou si řekl dost. Nakumulovaný vztek musel ven. Potřeboval něco rozmlátit. Tak vzal do rukou velké těžké kladivo a do sluchátek si pustil novou desku kanadských maniaků "Violence Beyond All Reason".
Pokaždé, když vidím ve zprávách nějaký ošklivý čin, tak si říkám, jaké by to asi bylo, kdyby si ten chlápek raději poslechl nějakou muziku. Thrash metal pro mě vždycky o tomhle býval. Je to styl, který dokáže ze své podstaty uvolnit napětí. Člověk se vykřičí a pak je jeho mysl čistá a klidná. Alespoň já to tak mám nastavené. Jsou k tomu ale potřeba desky, které opravdu stojí zato. "Violence Beyond All Reason" patří mezi ně, to vám podepíšu vlastní krví.
Mám rád, když z kapely cítím, že do toho dala všechno. Kanaďané vás roztrhají na kusy. Mají v sobě potřebný vztek, nebojí se ani lehkých technických pasáží. Navíc mají talent na to složit song, který vám vystřelí mozek z hlavy. Ve stylu třeba takových (starých) KREATOR, SEPULTURA, REVOCATION, ale třeba i DEMMOLITION HAMMER, útočí napřímo, rovnou na solar plexus. Poslech tak připomíná souboj v ringu. Ale rozhodně se nejedná o tupý zápas v kleci, kde jde jen o krev a střeva, ale spíše o promyšlený souboj nadaných soupeřů. Pokud bychom měli hodnotit i formální věci, jako zvuk a obal, tak bych musel používat samé superlativy. Zvukově je totiž album doslova vichřicí, uragánem, surovým a zároveň čitelným a živočišným. Obal vytvořil můj oblíbený Ed Repka a musím říci, že se také neskutečně povedl. Tenhle motiv chci na tričko! K nové desce "Violence Beyond All Reason" nemám žádných námitek. Naopak, neskutečně si ji užívám. Nejvíce se mi osvědčil poslech cestou z práce, když jsme unavený a potřebuji novou energii do žil. Najednou je mi jedno, že nejsem součástí davu, nejednou je mi jedno, že jsem se nezařadil. Stejně jako BESIEGED ctím základní pravidla stylu. Tohle album má v sobě absolutně všechno! Nálož je připravena, stačí ji jen odpálit. Výbušný thrash metalový náklad!

One day he said enough. The accumulated anger had to come out. He needed to smash something. So he picked up a big, heavy hammer and put the Canadian maniacs' new record, Violence Beyond All Reason, on his headphones.
Every time I see an ugly act on the news, I wonder what it would be like if the guy would rather listen to some music. Thrash metal has always been about that for me. It's a style that can inherently release tension. You scream and then your mind is clear and calm. At least that's how I'm set up. But it takes records that are really worth it. "Violence Beyond All Reason" is one of them, I'll sign it with my own blood.
I like to feel like the band gave it they're all. Canadians will tear you apart. They've got the necessary rage, they're not afraid of light technical passages either. Plus, they have a knack for putting together a song that will blow your mind. In the style of such (old) KREATOR, SEPULTURA, REVOCATION, but also DEMMOLITION HAMMER, they attack directly, straight to the solar plexus. Listening to it is like a fight in the ring. But this is definitely not a dull cage fight, where it's all about blood and guts, but rather a well thought out battle of talented opponents. If we were to rate even the formal things like sound and packaging, I would have to use only superlatives. Because sonically the album is literally a whirlwind, a hurricane, raw and at the same time clear and animalistic. The cover artwork was done by my favorite Ed Repka and I have to say that it is also incredibly well done. I want this motif on a t-shirt! I have no complaints about the new album "Violence Beyond All Reason". On the contrary, I'm enjoying it immensely. I find it most useful to listen to it on the way home from work when I'm tired and need a boost of energy in my veins. Suddenly I don't care that I'm not part of the crowd, more than once I don't care that I don't fit in. Like BESIEGED, I honor the basic rules of style. This album has absolutely everything in it! The charge is ready, all you have to do is set it off. An explosive thrash metal load!
