Když jsem si nechal od své asistentky podat skalpel, ještě jsem netušil, že všichni zemřeme. Mrtvola už nějaký čas ležela v mrazáku a nevykazovala žádné příznaky toho, že je prokletá. Jenže jsem se mýlil. Vedl jsem první řez, od krku, až dolů do břicha. Nejdřív se nic nedělo. Potom se vyhrnul ven smradlavý, černý hnis. Jeden můj kolega pronesl, že tenhle člověk musel být za svého života hodně zlý. Měl pravdu, ve spisech jsme o něm našli spoustu hnusných příběhů. Odložil jsem nástroj a otočil se. Neměl jsem to dělat, někteří dokáží zabíjet i dlouho po své smrti.

Umí to i americká kapela 200 STAB WOUNDS, která se již svým předchozím albem "Slave to the Scalpel" dostala do podvědomí nejen fanoušků žánru. Hrubý, syrový, nekompromisní klasický death metal, ušpiněný zkaženou krví a vlastní invencí. Vítejte v kdysi opuštěné pitevně, ve které se exhumují těla prokletých!

Je prostým faktem, že spousta starých kapel, které kdysi vydala silná a zásadní alba, je dnes jen již slabým odvarem. Někteří muzikanti stárnou a pochopitelně ztrácejí původní nadšení a odhodlání. Jsem také starý pes, ale stále rád objevuji kapely, jako jsou 200 STAB WOUNDS. O těch lze samozřejmě napsat, že nevymýšlejí nic nového, jen se vezou na vlně, kopírují již tisíckrát slyšené. To je ale jen jeden úhel pohledu. Osobně vnímám novou desku tak, že jí vůbec nic nechybí. Má poctivý, masivní zvuk, hnilobný, smradlavý obal, perfektně natočené klipy. Řekněte mi, co si vlastně může víc fanoušek death metalu přát? Američané totiž ještě navíc umí napsat skvělé motivy, skladby, které vás rozdrtí. Pokud bychom rozebírali jednotlivé postupy, jistě bychom našli spoustu shodných bodů s tvorbou smeček jako CANNIBAL CORPSE, DYING FETUS, SKINLESS,S SUFFOCATION, BRUTALITY. Osobně mi to vůbec nevadí. Každý se u někoho inspiruje a najít v dnešní době absolutní originalitu nejde. Vždy posuzuji album jako celek a musím rovnou dodat, že mě "Manual Manic Procedures" baví, rád se k nahrávce vracím a dokonce ji někdy upřednostňuji ve svém přehrávači před některými slavnějšími kapelami. Muzikantům zde totiž nechybí drive a síla, pověstná temná energie. Správně pochopili ducha starých časů a přidali kus sebe samých. A hlavně, hudba zde řeže tou správnou stranou nože. Bylo pro mě velmi příjemné si nechat prokousnout hrdlo, rozsekat na malé kousky a rozemlít na masokostní moučku. Pokud jste na tom jako já, tak doporučuji přidat hlasitost. Brutální, surový, mokvající death metal! Mršina ve značném stádiu rozkladu!

I made the first incision, from the neck down into the abdomen. Nothing happened at first. Then the stinking, black pus came out. A colleague of mine said that this man must have been very bad in his lifetime. He was right, we found a lot of nasty stories about him in the files. I put down my instrument and turned around. The American band 200 STAB WOUNDS can do it, too, who already with their previous album "Slave to the Scalpel" got into the consciousness of not only fans of the genre. Rough, raw, uncompromising classic death metal, stained with corrupted blood and their own inventiveness. Welcome to the once abandoned autopsy room where the bodies of the damned are exhumed!

It's a simple fact that a lot of old bands that once released strong and essential albums are now just a weak brew. Some musicians are getting older and understandably losing their original enthusiasm and commitment. I'm also an old dog, but I still love discovering bands like 200 STAB WOUNDS. Of course, it can be written about them that they don't invent anything new, they just ride the wave, copying the already heard a thousand times. But this is only one point of view. Personally, I perceive the new album as lacking nothing at all. It has an honest, massive sound, rotten, smelly cover art, perfectly shot videos. Tell me, what more could a death metal fan want? The Americans can also write great themes, songs that will crush you. If we were to analyze the individual processes, we would surely find a lot of similarities with the work of bands like CANNIBAL CORPSE, DYING FETUS, SKINLESS,S SUFFOCATION, BRUTALITY. Personally I don't mind it at all. Everybody is inspired by somebody and it's impossible to find absolute originality nowadays. I always judge an album as a whole and I have to add right away that I enjoy "Manual Manic Procedures", I like to come back to the record and even sometimes prefer it in my player to some more famous bands. The musicians here do not lack drive and power, the proverbial dark energy. They got the spirit of the old times right and added a piece of themselves. And above all, the music here cuts with the right side of the knife. It was very pleasant for me to have my throat bitten out, cut into small pieces and ground into meat and bone meal. If you're like me, I recommend turning up the volume. Brutal, raw, soaking death metal! Carrion in a considerable state of decay!
