Marně se snažím rozluštit staré nápisy na náhrobcích. Jsou napsány pradávnou řečí prokletých. Nezbývá mi nic jiného, než vzít do rukou lopatu a dát se do práce. Poslouchám u toho letošní nové album death metalových maniaků INSINERATEHYMN z Los Angeles. Jedná se o skupinu, která je naplno oddána stínům. Všechny tři nahrávky, které zatím pánové vydali, jsou po okraj narvané špínou a zkaženým masem. Stačí jen přidat hlasitost a exhumovat další hrob.
Nad hřbitovem se vznáší mrazivá mlha a krásně morbidně doplňuje celkovou scenérii. Musím odnést zpuchřelé tělo do márnice a počkat s ním přes noc. Abych vyslechl nemrtvého, abych se nechal stáhnout do hlubiny, abych se utopil v nekonečných močálech nicoty. Tohle je přesně druh smrtícího kovu, který se hodí k mé těžké práci starého hrobníka. Koneckonců, posuďte sami.
Pánové na to jdou ostře, nekompromisně, ale nezapomínají ani na chladné a temné melodie. Pokud jste měli rádi kapely jako INCANTATION, MORBID ANGEL, DEICIDE, MONSTROSITY, BROKEN HOPE, ale i třeba skandinávskou školu, potom jste zde správně. Pro mě je ale nakonec vždycky důležitější, jak na mě hudba působí jako celek. Američané se sice volně inspirovali u svých vzorů, ale zároveň přidávají pořádnou porci svých vlastních nápadů. Album se tak stalo na dlouhý čas mým průvodcem v záhrobí. Vnímám jej jako ozvěny z katakomb, jako memento, jako vzpomínku na doby, kdy se pohřbívalo zásadně do země a kapely v sobě měly drive a sílu. INSINERATEHYMN na to jdou chytře, přesvědčivě, ihned si mě získali na svoji stranu. Najednou jsem nechtěl vidět světlo, najednou jsem se těšil, až exhumuji další hrob. Rozuměl jsem nápisům, které nedokázal dosud nikdo rozluštit. Užíval jsem si společnost démonů, kteří se objevili pokaždé, když jsem zapnul play. Proséval jsem mezi prsty prach svých předků a kýval spokojeně hlavou. Povedl se zvuk (Erol Ulug - mixing, mastering, Loïc F. - mastring), s chutí se dívám i na obal (Edgar Roldan), který doplňuje hudbu velmi přesvědčivým způsobem. "Irreverence of the Divine" je přesně tím druhem alba, které by nemělo chybět ve sbírce každého opravdového fanouška temnoty. Marně se snažím rozluštit staré nápisy na náhrobcích. Morbidní, syrový death metal, u kterého začnete hnít zevnitř! Prašivé, kruté ozvěny ze záhrobí!

All three records the gentlemen have released so far are packed to the brim with filth and corrupted flesh. Just turn up the volume and exhume another grave.
A chilling fog hovers over the cemetery, adding a beautifully morbid touch to the overall scenery. I have to take the decayed body to the morgue and wait overnight. To interrogate the undead, to be dragged down into the depths, to drown in the endless swamps of nothingness. This is exactly the kind of deadly metal that suits my hard work as an old undertaker. After all, judge for yourself.
The gentlemen are sharp, uncompromising, but they don't forget about cold and dark melodies. If you liked bands like INCANTATION, MORBID ANGEL, DEICIDE, MONSTROSITY, BROKEN HOPE, but also maybe the Scandinavian school, then you are right here. But for me, in the end, it's always more important how the music affects me as a whole. The Americans, while taking loose inspiration from their role models, add a hefty helping of their own ideas. The album thus became my guide to the afterlife for a long time. I see it as echoes from the catacombs, as a memento, a reminder of a time when burial was fundamentally in the ground and bands had drive and power within them. INSINERATEHYMN go at it cleverly, convincingly, immediately winning me over to their side. Suddenly I didn't want to see the light, suddenly I was looking forward to exhuming another grave. I understood the inscriptions that no one had been able to decipher. I enjoyed the company of the demons that appeared every time I turned on the play. I sifted the dust of my ancestors through my fingers and nodded my head in satisfaction. The sound (Erol Ulug - mixing, mastering, Loïc F. - mastering) was great, and I look with relish at the cover art (Edgar Roldan), which complements the music in a very convincing way. "Irreverence of the Divine" is exactly the kind of album that should not be missing in the collection of every true fan of darkness. I try in vain to decipher the old inscriptions on the tombstones.
