Probouzíš se ve stejný čas. Vstaneš a vydáš se do tmy. Tvůj úkol je jednoduchý. Musíš posbírat všechna mrtvá těla, která najdeš a pohřbít je v hromadném hrobě daleko za městem. Procházíš se temnými ulicemi, nasáváš pach smrti. Posloucháš u toho nové EP finských AEDES. Death metal a mrtvolná atmosféra k sobě vždy patřily jako rakev k zemřelému. Některá těla jsou zohavená, s vyděšenými tvářemi, s bolestí a strachem v obličeji. Musíš vše uklidit, aby byl pro ostatní den krásný. Pokaždé několikrát zemřeš, abys šel nakonec zase spát.
Jsou kapely, které hrají tak, že se vám dostanou do snů a stanou se šílenými nočními můrami. AEDES přistupují ke své morbidní práci jako staří, zkušení hrobníci. Povedlo se jim přenést ducha devadesátých let minulého století do současnosti. A to velmi elegantně a uvěřitelně. Myslím si, že spokojení budou všichni, kteří byli kdysi dávno prokleti.
Všichni známe klasickou a tradiční finskou death metalovou školu. V hudbě těchto šílenců ji lze vystopovat. Pánové jsou ale ovlivněni i takovými smečkami jako MORBID ANGEL, MORTEM, SADISTIC INTENT, INCANTATION, IMMOLATION, ENTOMBED. Ostré melodie jsou jednou zcela devastující a masakrující. Jindy jsou zase obestřeny chladnými pavučinami. "Odius Imprecation" je nahrávkou, která byla vydána digitálně již v roce 2003. Za rok následovala kazeta a letos přichází label Blood Harvest i s CD, vinylem a opět kazetou. Zkrátka a dobře, jedná se o hluboký underground a na své si přijde každý fanoušek dlouhých stínů. Skladby, i když jsou jen čtyři, jsou napsány velmi dobře, mají v sobě drive i pradávnou sílu. Takovou tu prašivinu, která se dle mého nedá naučit. Musíte věřit v opravdové pohřby do země. AEDES mě svojí prvotinou přesvědčili na svoji stranu. Už teď se těším, až se dočkáme dlouhohrajícího alba. Doufám, že to nebude moc trvat. Neznám totiž nic lepšího, než dlouhé večery ve starých márnicích, se sluchátky na uších. Finové sice nepřinášejí nic nového, ani převratného, ale rozhodně se nejedná jenom o dobře zahrané řemeslo. Naopak, ze skladeb cítím oddanost, smrad rozkládajících se těl i hnilobu. Pokud máte tuhle odrůdu kovu smrti rádi, nelze jinak, než vám nové EP doporučit. Poslouchejte v chladu a naprosté tmě, teprve potom vylezou na povrch jednotlivé morbidní nuance. Probouzíš se ve stejný čas. Vstaneš a vydáš se do tmy. Tvůj úkol je jednoduchý. There are bands that play in a way that gets into your dreams and become crazy nightmares. AEDES approach their morbid work like old, experienced gravediggers. They have managed to bring the spirit of the 1990s into the present. And they do it very elegantly and believably. I think everyone who was cursed once upon a time will be pleased.
We all know the classic and traditional Finnish school of death metal. It can be traced in the music of these madmen. But the gentlemen are also influenced by such packs as MORBID ANGEL, MORTEM, SADISTIC INTENT, INCANTATION, IMMOLATION, ENTOMBED. The sharp melodies are once quite devastating and butchering. At other times they are enveloped in cold cobwebs. "Odius Imprecation" is a record that was released digitally back in 2003. A cassette followed a year later, and this year the Blood Harvest label is coming out with a CD, vinyl and cassette again. In short, this is a deep underground record and there is something for every fan of long shadows. The songs, even though there are only four, are very well written and have drive and ancient power. The kind of scabrousness that I don't think can be taught. You have to believe in real burial in the ground. AEDES have won me over to their side with their first book. I'm already looking forward to seeing a full-length album. I hope it doesn't take too long. Because I don't know anything better than long evenings in old morgues with headphones on. The Finns may not be bringing anything new or groundbreaking, but it's definitely not just well played craft. On the contrary, I can smell devotion, the stench of decaying bodies and rot from the songs. If you like this variety of death metal, we can't help but recommend the new EP.
