Už dávno vím, jak se usmívá ďábel. Přes den milý a vnímavý kněz, v noci děsivá bestie. Studená kobka, hluboko pod kostelem, se stala na dlouhé roky místem, ve kterém se odehrávaly šílené věci. Mučení, vysmívání se bohu. Kázal o dobru a svým obětem trhal maso od kostí. Připadá vám to zvrácené a nereálné? Tak si někdy pusťte večerní zprávy. Modlíme se k dávno padlým bohům. Obraťte raději všechny kříže směrem dolů a poslouchejte nové EP irských maniaků GRAVE SERMON.
Jedná se o krví nasáklý death metal, který když uslyšíte poprvé, tak vám bude připomínat počáteční chaos, při kterém vznikl samotný vesmír. Když se ale zaposloucháte pečlivěji a postupně odkryjete jednotlivé vrstvy, zjistíte, že se jedná o pestrou paletu morbidních nálad. Vše je zahalené do černé mlhy a smrdí sírou. Smrt je zase jednou hodně blízko.
Pokud máte rádi starý, prašivý a hnilobou nasáklý death metal ze staré školy, potom jste zde správně. Na své si přijdou všichni fanoušci absolutní tmy, nihilismu, rouhání, špinavého zvuku a temných stínů. Jedná se o druhé EP kapely, která je složena ze samých zkušených muzikantů (Legion of Wolves, Abaddon Incarnate, Thy Sinister Bloom, Aeternum Vale, Aesect, Twisted Element a Ground of Ruin), kteří moc dobře vědí, co a jak chtějí hrát. Cíl je jediný, zničit vás hudbou, navěky vás proklít. Přiznám se, že jsem kapelu neznal, ale "Liturgical Perversions" mě ihned přesvědčilo. Smrdí totiž sírou a má v sobě takový ten tlak, černou energii, kterou máme my, prokletí tolik rádi. Zvuk je náležitě surový a dobře čitelný (Mixed & Mastered by HK at Vamacara Studio) a obal se také velmi povedl (Artwork and Layout by Gav Doyle at Symmetry Industry Studios). Myslím si, že fanoušci staré školy, budou určitě spokojeni. Hlavní je ale jako vždy hudba a ta mi opravdu připomíná návštěvu opuštěného kostela, ve kterém se kdysi odehrávaly děsivé a šílené rituály. Dodnes je do zdí otištěný nářek obětí, dosud lze zahlédnout stíny z dávných časů. Nářek mučených, ve jménu slepé víry, až navěky amen. GRAVE SERMON nahráli album, které ocení všichni démoni, nemrtví i padlí kněží. Jako bych proséval mezi prsty prach z čerstvě exhumovaných hrobů. Také cítíte ten chlad, tu hnilobu? To kolem obchází smrt a poslouchá s námi tohle EP. Už dávno vím, jak se usmívá ďábel. Přes den milý a vnímavý kněz, v noci děsivá bestie. This is blood-soaked death metal that, when you first hear it, will remind you of the initial chaos that created the universe itself. But if you listen more carefully and gradually uncover the layers, you'll find that it's a varied palette of morbid moods. Everything is shrouded in black mist and smells of sulphur. Death is once again very close.
If you like old school, dusty and rotten death metal from the old school, then you've come to the right place. All fans of absolute darkness, nihilism, blasphemy, dirty sound and dark shadows will find their place. This is the second EP from a band that is made up of all experienced musicians (Legion of Wolves, Abaddon Incarnate, Thy Sinister Bloom, Aeternum Vale, Aesect, Twisted Element and Ground of Ruin) who know very well what they want to play and how they want to play it. The goal is one, to destroy you with music, to curse you forever. I'll admit I didn't know the band, but "Liturgical Perversions" convinced me immediately. It reeks of brimstone and has that pressure, that black energy that we cursed love so much. The sound is properly raw and clear (Mixed & Mastered by HK at Vamacara Studio) and the cover art is also very good (Artwork and Layout by Gav Doyle at Symmetry Industry Studios). I think old school fans will be pleased. But the main thing, as always, is the music, and it really reminds me of visiting an abandoned church, in which terrifying and crazy rituals used to take place. The wailing of the victims is still imprinted on the walls, and shadows from long ago can still be glimpsed. The lament of the tortured, in the name of blind faith, forever and ever amen. GRAVE SERMON have recorded an album that all demons, undead and fallen priests will appreciate. It's like sifting through the dust of freshly exhumed graves. Do you also feel the cold, the rot?
