Schopnost vidět zlo jsem získal již kdysi dávno, v dobách, kdy jsem s metalem začínal. Vždy jsem stál ve stínu, když někoho věšeli na háky, když mu vyřezávali maso z těla. Navenek milí a krásní lidé se po večerech měnili v bestie. Oběti lovili celý den. V krásných domech, s penězi vydělanými krví jiných. Někdy mě obestřel chlad, občas jsem se bál, ale vždycky jsem nakonec vyhledával hudbu, která byla jiná, extrémní a temná. Němečtí TSATTHOGGUA jsou starodávnou black thrash metalovou kapelou, která datuje svůj vznik do devadesátých let minulého století.

Jedná se o antikřesťanskou hudbu, která se vždy hrávala na sabatech. I letos ji můžete použít jako kulisu při děsivých obřadech hluboko v podzemí. Fascinuje vás svět sadistů, masochistů, svazování? Rádi navštěvujete místa, na kterých sérioví vrazi ukrývali své oběti? A co opuštěné nemocnice nebo jatka? Potom se vám bude nové album "We Are God" určitě líbit.

Jako první mě praštil do obličeje ostrý, neučesaný a surový zvuk. Potom jsem seděl a fascinovaně se díval na motiv na obalu (MorphArts). Z reproduktorů se na mě valila špinavá změť starého thrashe, blacku, hnisu a zkažené krve. Obejmul mě chlad a najednou jsem nebyl doma, v klidu, ale v hlubokém sklepě, přikovaný ke zdi. Přiznám se bez mučení, že na konci devadesátých let, kdy jsem zaznamenal jejich dvě první nahrávky, jsem tuhle smečku považoval za velmi dobrou, ale ne za vynikající. Letos ale působí jako politi mrtvou vodou. Skladby v sobě mají drive, sílu, spoustu zajímavých momentů. Kapela vás vezme na pochmurný a děsivý výlet do hlubin zkažených lidských duší. Jsou mezi námi jedinci, na kterých to nepoznáte, ale mají doma své mučírny. Líbí se jim bolest a utrpení. Němcům se tohle všechno povedlo doslova vypálit do své hudby. Ta je ostrá, divoká, nespoutaná a maniakální. Budete se brodit v krvi, nasávat nasládlý pach strachu. Chvilku mi to trvalo, než jsem se do jejich stylu dostal, ale velmi oceňuji, že mají svůj vlastní výraz, rukopis chcete-li. To není ani v dnešní divné době rozhodně málo. Vrátit se po dlouhých 26 letech v takové formě je skvělé. TSATTHOGGUA působí jako smečka rozzuřených psů na lovu. Když vás chytí, tak budete spoutáni směsí ostrých riffů. Ten tlak, energie, síla, jsou až morbidně přitažlivé. A teď už mě prosím nechte, musím dolů do sklepa. Mám tam nějakou práci. Kývám se spokojeně do rytmu a navlékám si kuklu na obličej. Brutální, zlověstný, syrový black thrash metal ze starých děsivých mučíren! Budete svázáni smrští chladných melodií!

Germany's TSATTHOGGUA are an ancient black thrash metal band that dates back to the 1990s.

It is anti-Christian music that has always been played on Sabbaths. This year, you can use it as a backdrop for eerie ceremonies deep underground. Fascinated by the world of sadists, masochists, bondage? Do you like to visit the places where serial killers hid their victims? What about abandoned hospitals or slaughterhouses? Then you will definitely like the new album "We Are God".

The first thing that hit me in the face was a sharp, unkempt and raw sound. Then I sat and looked fascinated at the motif on the cover (MorphArts). A dirty mess of old thrash, blacks, pus and rotten blood was pouring out of the speakers. A chill came over me and suddenly I was not at home, at peace, but in a deep basement, chained to the wall. I admit without torture that in the late nineties, when I recorded their first two records, I considered this pack very good, but not outstanding. This year, however, they seem like dead water. The songs have drive, power, lots of interesting moments. The band takes you on a grim and terrifying trip into the depths of corrupted human souls. There are individuals among us that you can't tell, but they have their torture chambers at home. They like pain and suffering. The Germans have managed to literally burn all this into their music. It's edgy, wild, unbridled and manic. You'll be wading in blood, soaking up the sweet smell of fear. It took me a while to get into their style, but I really appreciate that they have their own expression, signature if you will. That's certainly not a small thing even in these strange times. To come back after 26 long years in this form is great. TSATTHOGGUA come across like a pack of rabid dogs on the hunt. When they catch you, you will be bound by a mixture of sharp riffs. The pressure, the energy, the power, are morbidly appealing. And now please leave me alone, I must go down to the basement. I've got some work to do. I'm swaying to the rhythm and putting my hood over my face. Brutal, ominous, raw black thrash metal from the horrific torture chambers of old! You'll be bound by a whirlwind of cold melodies!
