Chodím stejnou cestou již dlouhé roky. Přesto jsem zabloudil. Byla tma a mraky se dotýkaly skoro země. Les se zdál až podivně tichý. Ve stínech číhaly přízraky a z nedalekých močálů se pomalu začaly ozývat děsivé skřeky. Jako bych se najednou ocitl v těch nejděsivějších snech. Jsem v nich stahován do hlubiny, udušen a roztrhán na kusy. U nového alba finských CRYPTIC HATRED se cítím velmi podobně. Sleduji tuhle smečku od jejich počátků (dole pod článkem jsou odkazovány recenze i rozhovory) a líbí se mi jejich morbidní cit pro zvrácené melodie. 

Je to hlavně atmosféra, která mě opět zcela pohltila. Zabloudil jsem v lesích, ocitl se na starém pohřebišti. Nemrtví vylézají z hrobů a tančí do rytmu. Odpadává jim maso od kostí a vy si tak můžete užít zase jednou poctivý, prašivý death metal. Surové záseky se zde potkávají s mrazivými motivy. Rozpadám se pomalu v prach!

 

Finové do mě ihned zaseklý dráp a už mě nepustili. Album jsem opravdu nejvíc poslouchal brzy ráno, když byla ještě tma a ulicemi se toulaly přízraky. Na hřbitově ještě tančily nemrtví a když jsem je jako vždy pozdravil, doporučili mi, abych poslouchal album "Internal Torment" pořádně nahlas. Kapela se stylově pohybuje mezi floridskou mokvající klasikou a finskou melancholií a chladem. Skladby jsou napsány velmi zkušeně, mají gradující strukturu, obsahují v sobě velké množství temnoty a šílenství. Pokud jste na tom jako já a rádi vyhledáváte prašivý kov smrti, navštěvujete staré katakomby i pohřebiště, potom neváhejte ani chvilku. Zvuk i obal jsou velmi dobře odvedeným řemeslem. Pokaždé, když jsem se s touhle deskou setkal, byl jsem zcela pohlcen. Jako by byly skladby mojí součástí. Fantazie pracovala na sto procent a moje myšlenky byly zahalené do černé krvavé mlhy. K albu jsem se velmi rád a často vracel. Má v sobě totiž něco morbidně přitažlivého, děsivého, prašivého. Kapele se povedlo exhumovat to nejlepší, co mám na tomto stylu rád. Navíc, pánové přidali kus sebe samých, vlastní nápady a invenci. Deska opravdu působí velmi celistvě, kompaktně, rozhodně ji poslouchejte v jednom kuse. Prach jsi a v prach se obrátíš! Až navěky, amen. Smrt je při poslechu velmi blízko. Dívám se do tmy a znovu se vydávám na cestu. Chodím tudy již dlouhé roky, přesto jsem zabloudil. Je tma a mraky se dotýkají skoro země. Les se zdá až podivně tichý. Ve stínech číhají přízraky a z nedalekých močálů se pomalu začínají ozývat děsivé skřeky. Nahrubo nasekané, temné death metalové zlo! Tajemné, děsivé ozvěny z krvavých bažin!

I have been walking the same path for many years. Yet I've lost my way. It was dark and the clouds were almost touching the ground. The forest seemed strangely silent. Ghosts lurked in the shadows and eerie screams slowly began to echo from the nearby swamps. It was as if I were suddenly in the most terrifying of dreams. I am being pulled down into the depths, suffocated and torn apart. With the new album from Finland's CRYPTIC HATRED, I feel much the same way. I've been following this pack since their early days (reviews and interviews are linked at the bottom of the article) and I like their morbid sense of twisted melodies. 

It's mostly the atmosphere that has me completely engrossed once again. Lost in the woods, I found myself in an old burial ground. The undead crawl out of their graves and dance to the rhythm. Their flesh is falling off their bones and you can once again enjoy honest, dusty death metal. Raw hits meet chilling themes. I'm slowly disintegrating into dust!


The Finns immediately stuck their claw into me and never let go. I really listened to the album the most early in the morning, when it was still dark and ghosts roamed the streets. The undead were still dancing in the cemetery and when I greeted them as always, they advised me to listen to the album "Internal Torment" really loud. Stylistically, the band moves between Florida swamping classics and Finnish melancholy and coldness. The songs are very expertly written, have a graduating structure, and contain a great deal of darkness and madness. If you're like me and like to seek out the dusty metal of death, visit old catacombs and burial grounds, then don't hesitate a moment. The sound and cover art is very well done. Every time I encountered this record I was completely engrossed. It's like the songs are part of me. My imagination was working at 100% and my thoughts were shrouded in a black bloody fog. I returned to the album often and very happily. It has something morbidly appealing, horrifying, dusty. The band has managed to exhume the best of what I love about this style. Moreover, the gentlemen added a piece of themselves, their own ideas and inventiveness. The album really feels very whole, compact, definitely listen to it in one piece. Dust you are and to dust you shall turn! Forever and ever, amen. Death is very close when listening to it. I'm looking into the darkness and starting out again. I've been walking this way for years, yet I've lost my way. It's dark and the clouds are almost touching the ground. The forest seems strangely silent. Ghosts lurk in the shadows and eerie screams slowly begin to echo from the nearby swamps. Coarsely chopped, dark death metal evil! Mysterious, terrifying echoes from the bloody swamps!
