Kdysi tu bývala krásná vesnice plná lidí. Teď je tu jenom les a pár náhrobků se jmény, která měla být dávno zapomenuta. Jenže je mlha a pomalu se stmívá. Mraky jsou nízko a vše kolem utichlo. Jakoby měl každou chvíli uhodit blesk a spálit všechno na popel. Konečně se mi podařilo rozluštit některá jména na hrobech. Nemrtví šeptají, naříkají, touží se pomstít. Poslouchám debutové album kanadských maniaků REVERSED a moc dobře vím, že budu brzy spálený na popel.
Tohle je hudba, která se hrávala kdysi dávno, na přelomu osmdesátých a devadesátých let minulého století. Temný a mrazivý koktejl z blacku, deathu, thrash metalu, umíchaný na starých pohřebištích. Pán jej vzaliové, exhumovali a opatřili svými vlastními nápady a invencí. Výsledkem je hudba, u které pukají víka od rakví tlakem a nemrtví vylézají z hrobů.
Pod kapelou jsou podepsáni muzikanti z MITOCHONDRION, AUROCH, SPELL. O kvalitu je tedy postaráno po všech stránkách. Sedávali jste kdysi dávno dlouhé hodiny u reproduktorů a diskutovali jste o tom, která skupina je syrovější, temnější a šílenější? Přehrávali jste alba na kazetách a vinylech? Tak potom by se vám mohla líbit i nová deska "Wildly Possessed". Kanaďané velmi vkusně a elegantně odkazují třeba na takové CELTIC FROST, SLAUGHTER LORD, POSSESSED, SADISTIC INTENT, MORBID ANGEL, nověji třeba VAMPIRE. To ale není zase tolik důležité. Hlavní je, že mě baví novinku poslouchat, rád se k ní velmi často vracím. A to nejen v případech, kdy na mě leze nostalgická nálada a mám chuť se zavřít před současným divným světem. Tohle je muzika nejen pro všechny pamětníky. Naopak, myslím si, že by mohla oslovit i mladé posluchače. Má v sobě totiž pradávnou energii, nahrubo nasekanou tmu, chlad tolik známý ze starých pohřebišť. Pokud jste byli někdy u opravdové exhumace, tak jistě víte, že se vzduchem pokaždé vznáší nezaměnitelný zápach hniloby. Během společných setkání s hudbou REVERSED jsem cítil to samé. Je to pro mě důkaz, že se nahrávka opravdu povedla. A to nejen po formální stránce (zvuk, obal, produkce, vše je v nejlepším pořádku), ale i co se týká samotných nápadů. Byl jsem stržen do hlubin a rozemlet na prach. Potkal jsem dlouhý zástup duší, které navěky bloudí mezi naším a oním světem. Ale hlavně, neskutečně jsem si celé album užíval. Všichni, co tuhle hudbu posloucháme, tak moc dobře víme, že peklo existuje. Hraje se tam stejná hudba, jakou předkládají tihle maniaci. Je mlha a pomalu se stmívá. Mraky jsou nízko a vše kolem utichlo. Jakoby měl každou chvíli uhodit blesk a spálit všechno na popel. Temné a chladné ozvěny ze starých black, thrash, death metalových pohřebišť! Krvavé kořeny byly znovu vytrženy!

It used to be a beautiful village full of people. Now it's just a forest and a few tombstones with names that should have been forgotten long ago. But it's foggy and slowly getting dark. The clouds are low and everything around us has gone quiet. It's as if lightning were about to strike and burn everything to the ground. I finally managed to decipher some of the names on the graves. The undead are whispering, wailing, seeking revenge. I'm listening to the debut album from Canadian maniacs REVERSED and I know full well I'm about to be burnt to ashes.
This is music that was played a long time ago, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. A dark and chilling cocktail of black, death, thrash metal, mixed in old graveyards. Gentlemen took it, exhumed it and provided it with their own ideas and inventiveness. The result is music to which coffin lids burst with pressure and the undead crawl out of their graves.
Under the band are signed musicians from MITOCHONDRION, AUROCH, SPELL. So the quality is taken care of in all aspects. Have you ever sat for long hours in front of the speakers and discussed which band is more raw, darker and crazier? Did you play albums on cassettes and vinyl? Then you might also like the new album "Wildly Possessed". The Canadians very tastefully and elegantly refer to the likes of CELTIC FROST, SLAUGHTER LORD, POSSESSED, SADISTIC INTENT, MORBID ANGEL and more recently VAMPIRE. But that's not so important. The main thing is that I enjoy listening to new music, I like to come back to it very often. And not only when I'm in a nostalgic mood and want to shut myself off from the current strange world. This is music not just for all the memoirists. On the contrary, I think it could appeal to young listeners as well. For it has an ancient energy, a coarsely chopped darkness, a coldness so familiar from old burial grounds. If you've ever been to a real exhumation, you'll know that the unmistakable smell of rot always wafts through the air. I've felt the same thing during my encounters with REVERSED music. It's proof to me that the recording was really successful. And not only formally (sound, cover, production, everything is in top order), but also in terms of the ideas themselves. I was swept into the depths and ground to dust. I have met a long line of souls who forever wander between our world and the next. But most importantly, I enjoyed the whole album immensely. All of us who listen to this music know so well that hell exists. The same music is being played that these maniacs are presenting. It's foggy and slowly getting dark. The clouds are low and everything around us has gone quiet. It's as if lightning were about to strike and burn everything to the ground. Dark and cold echoes from the old black, thrash, death metal graveyards! The bloody roots have been pulled up again!
