Mrtvol bylo čím dál tím víc. Jedovaté půda, voda plná kyseliny. Ptáci narážející do domů, psi nakaženi vzteklinou. Nejdříve tomu nikdo nevěřil, všichni jen pokaždé mávli rukou a nasedli do svých vozů. Jeli pár kilometrů a podceňovali slova kritiků. Jenže oni měli pravdu. Jako vždy jsme všechno zničili, celou planetu. Zůstala po nás jenom spálená země. Naše nenávist narostla do obrovských rozměrů. Pomalu jsme se vyvraždili. A těch několik jedinců, kteří zůstali, mohou poslouchat nové EP italských NECROCENE.
Ti letos přicházejí se svým debutem. Novinku jsem poslouchal jednoho krásného rána, když naše město přikryl smog. Vlezl jsem do ulic plných olova a síry a nemohl jsem dýchat. Kolem mě se jako vlna z kovu a železa sunula dopředu řeka aut. V každém seděl jeden člověk. Hudba i temnota všedního dne se mi spojila v jedno. Destrukce začala! Album se mi pomalu dostávalo do podvědomí.
Proroci i staří autoři sci-fi nás varovali. Připadali nám směšní a nedůvěřovali jsme jim. Teď pomalu umíráme na jedovatou vodu, ničíme všechno kolem sebe. Jsme jako invazivní druh, který se jednou sám požere mezi sebou. A Italové nám k tomu složili a nahráli soundtrack. Inspirovali se nejlepšími nahrávkami kapel jako OBITUARY, DEATH, OBITUARY, ASPHYX, AUTOPSY, ENTOMBED, SEPULTURA, BOLT THROWER. Přidali spoustu svých vlastních nápadů, dodali masivní, surový zvuk a výsledkem je nahrávka, která by mohla zaujmout nejednoho fanouška klasického masakrujícího kovu smrti. Líbí se mi atmosféra celé desky, s chutí si užívám jednotlivé motivy. Základem je poctivý nářez ze starých časů, přidávány jsou potom chladné a krvavé melodie. Jsem překvapen, jak profesionálně a dobře skladby zní. Není divu, v kapele působí zkušení muzikanti, kteří moc dobře ví, o čem je pravá, reálná smrt. Skvělé je (a pro mě hrozně důležité), že NECROCENE zní autenticky, přesvědčivě, opravdově. Ihned jsem si jejich novinku zařadil do své diskografie a poslouchal jsem ji pokaždé, kdy jsem měl pocit, že se svět kolem mě zbláznil. Dezinformace létaly vzduchem, v reklamách jenom lžou, před špatným se zavírají oči. Fantasmagorie v přímém přenosu. Jsem rád, že existují smečky, které umí říznout do živého. Jsou opravdové, nekompromisní a ještě umí nahrát hudbu, která dává smysl. Navíc má v sobě velké množství vzteku a temné energie. Surová death metalová devastace lidské mysli! Temné melodie nastávající apokalypsy!

The bodies were getting more and more numerous. Poisonous soil, water full of acid. Birds crashing into houses, dogs infected with rabies. No one believed it at first, everyone just waved their hands and got in their cars. They drove for a few miles, underestimating the words of the critics. But they were right. As always, we destroyed everything, the whole planet. All we have left is scorched earth. Our hatred has grown to enormous proportions. We slowly murdered ourselves. And the few individuals who remain can listen to the new EP of Italian NECROCENE.
They come out with their debut this year. I listened to the new release one fine morning when the smog covered our city. I walked into the streets full of lead and sulphur and couldn't breathe. Around me, like a wave of metal and iron, a river of cars surged forward. One man in each. The music and the darkness of everyday life merged into one. The destruction has begun! The album slowly entered my subconscious.
The prophets and the old science fiction writers warned us. We found them ridiculous and distrusted them. Now we're slowly dying of poisonous water, destroying everything around us. We're like an invasive species that will one day eat itself amongst itself. And the Italians have composed and recorded a soundtrack for us. They were inspired by the best records of bands like OBITUARY, DEATH, OBITUARY, ASPHYX, AUTOPSY, ENTOMBED, SEPULTURA, BOLT THROWER. They added a lot of their own ideas, added a massive, raw sound and the result is a record that could attract many a fan of classic death metal. I like the atmosphere of the whole record, I enjoy each motif with gusto. The base is an honest blast from the old days, then cold and bloody melodies are added. I am surprised how professional and good the tracks sound. No wonder, the band is made up of experienced musicians who know very well what true, real death is all about. The great thing (and terribly important for me) is that NECROCENE sounds authentic, convincing, real. I immediately put their new album in my discography and listened to it every time I felt like the world around me was going crazy. Misinformation was flying through the air, commercials were just lies, eyes were being turned a blind eye to the bad. Phantasmagoria live. I'm glad there are packs that can cut to the chase. They're real, they're uncompromising, and they can still record music that makes sense. Plus, it has a lot of anger and dark energy. Raw death metal devastation of the human mind! Dark melodies of the coming apocalypse!
