Myslím si, že jsme to všichni tak nějak podvědomě tušili. Jednou to muselo přijít. Psávali o tom staří autoři sci-fi a ukázalo se, že měli se vším pravdu. Lidský rod se začal postupně ničit, vyhlazovat mezi sebou. Nekonečné války, příčina se vždycky najde. Obnovené veřejné popravy, přímé přenosy z utrpení. Už se na to nemohli dívat. Naši stvořitelé. dali nám všechno. Život, boha, bolest. Nevážili jsme si toho. Loni se vrátili a když zahájili útok, zavládla panika a chaos. A éterem znělo nové EP black metalistů IMPERIALIST z Kalifornie.

Zrovna jsem dočetl jednu knihu plnou dystopie a přiznám se, že jsem u ní "Quantum" poslouchal stále dokola. Nejdříve jako kulisu a po nějaké době se mi skladby dostaly postupně pod kůži. Vnímal jsem a cítil, že je deska plná černé energie.

Je to smršť, je to vichřice. Lehce inspirování třeba takovými MARDUK nebo EMPEROR, útočí IMPERIALIST s velkou silou. Jsou nekompromisní, syroví a zůstává po nich spálená země. Většinou sice píši a podporuji trošku jiné extrémní metalové styly, ale tahle smečka si mě získala nejen svým přístupem. Líbí se mi zvuk, skvělý je i obal (Misanthropic Art). Fanoušek dostane poctivou porci dobře odvedené práce. Ale to by v dnešní době bylo málo. Američané mají navíc talent na to, napsat dobré skladby, které žhnou a pálí. Opravdu mám pocit, že letím ve vesmírné lodi a dole pode mnou utíkají stovky lidí v posledních záchvatu sebereflexe. Napadá mě spousta přirovnání, během poslechu pracuje moje fantazie na sto procent. Kapela mě rozhodně nenechala v klidu. A to je pro mě jasný důkaz, že se jim EP "Quantum" povedlo. Základem je sice klasický, tradiční black metal, ale zazní i thrashové pasáže a spousta zajímavých, neotřelých momentů. Zkrátka a dobře, nahrávka se mi opravdu velmi dobře poslouchala. Čerpal jsem temnou energii z vesmíru a kýval se spokojeně do rytmu. Síla se zde potkává s divokostí. Zkusili jste se někdy dlouho dívat do tmy? Přestavovali jste si démony? Tak ti samozřejmě existují. Nejsou to jen naše představy, ale tajemné bytosti z dalekých galaxií, které se vrátily, aby zde udělaly pořádek. Je vám doufám jasné, co u toho budou poslouchat za hudbu. Black metalová temnota z jiných světů! Smrtící invaze, u které budete zničeni!

I think we all kind of subconsciously suspected it. It was bound to happen at some point. The old science fiction writers used to write about it, and it turns out they were right about everything. The human race began to gradually destroy itself, to exterminate each other. Endless wars, there's always a cause. Renewed public executions, live broadcasts of the suffering. They couldn't watch it anymore. Our creators. They gave us everything. Life, God, pain. We didn't appreciate it. Last year they came back and when they launched their attack, there was panic and chaos. And the new EP from California black metallers IMPERIALIST.

I just finished reading a book full of dystopia, and I confess I listened to "Quantum" over and over again. First as a backdrop and after a while the songs gradually got under my skin. I could sense and feel that the record was full of black energy.

It's a whirlwind, it's a storm. Slightly inspired by the likes of MARDUK or EMPEROR, the IMPERIALIST attacks with great force. They're uncompromising, raw, and leave scorched earth in their wake. I usually write and support slightly different extreme metal styles, but this pack has won me over not only with their approach. I like the sound, the cover art (Misanthropic Art) is great too. The fan gets a fair portion of a job well done. But that wouldn't be enough these days. Plus, Americans have a knack for writing good songs that burn and burn. I really do feel like I'm flying in a spaceship, with hundreds of people below me in a last fit of self-reflection. I can think of a lot of comparisons, my imagination is working one hundred percent while I'm listening. The band certainly didn't leave me in peace. And this is a clear proof for me that their EP "Quantum" was a success. The basis is classic, traditional black metal, but there are also thrash passages and a lot of interesting, fresh moments. All in all, the record was a really good listen for me. I was drawing dark energy from the universe and swaying contentedly to the beat. Power meets ferocity here. Have you ever tried looking into the dark for a long time? Have you imagined demons? Well, of course they exist. They are not just our imaginations, but mysterious beings from galaxies far away who have returned to make order. I hope you know what kind of music they'll be listening to. Black metal darkness from other worlds! A deadly invasion that will destroy you!
