Hned u vchodu se povalují ohlodané kosti. Z hlubin se ozývá děsivý řev. Legendy mluví o starodávné bestii, která se opět po letech probudila. Touží po čerstvém mase. Když se setmí, tak není v ulicích bezpečno. Těla, roztrhaná na kusy. Pach rozkládajících se mršin. Lidé se bojí vylézt ven. Smrt číhá za každým rohem. ENGULFED jsou zpět, aby nám přinesli další album, které je po okraj narvané nenávistí, špínou a prvotřídním death metalem. Opět bude obětováno temným kultům.
Tureckou kapelu považuji za jednu z těch, které umí svojí hudbou znázornit opravdové peklo. Ostré riffy, melodie plné nenávisti, zloby a šílených představ. Ze skladeb odkapává zkažená krev a vy si tak můžete vychutnat pravou, nefalšovanou a reálnou smrt. Nová deska vás rozdrtí na prach a smete vás z povrchu zemského.
Poslouchat novinku "Unearthly Litanies of Despair" je jako padat po zádech do temné hlubiny. Zvuk, obal, produkce, celkové provedení, vše je podřízeno jedinému. Absolutní tmě a peklu! Děsivá atmosféra, technická zdatnost, morbidní ozvěny, blasfemie. Dívám se do tmy a naslouchám maniakálnímu řevu. Líbí se mi síla, kterou z nahrávky cítím, obdivuji příval energie. Turci působí jako přírodní živel, jako tsunami, které se dostane do záhrobí. Vzduchem létají prašivé kosti a Satan se zase jednou usmívá. Nedivím se, hraje se tu hlavně pro něj, i pro všechny démony. Pokud jste fanoušky takových kapel jako jsou třeba DEAD CONGREGATION, IMPRECATION, DISMA, INCANTATION, CRUCIAMENTUM, GRAVE MIASMA, MORBID ANGEL, a dalších tmářů, mohla by se vám líbit i tahle deska. Nenechá vás ani na chvilku v klidu. V jednotlivých nápadech je těžko definovatelný neklid. Připadal jsem si jako zavřený ve staré kobce, přikovaný ke zdi. Dnes jsem obětí já. Čekám na bestii ze starých časů, aby mě rozsápala na kusy. Předhozeno je jí ale jenom mé nebohé a bezvládné tělo. Nečistou práci už odvedli ENGULFED a jejich nové album. Jsou jako zuřiví psi, kteří hlídají vstup do podzemí. Tohle je pradávný, archaický rituál, nic pro slabé povahy. Tenhle smrtící kov vám vyseká do hlavy pěkně dlouhou krvavou stopu. Mocné nástupy, drtivé bicí, vokál nasáklý chorobami, tohle všechno dělá z novinky doslova povinnost pro všechny, kteří se kdysi zhlédli v temnotě. Poslouchat "Unearthly Litanies of Despair" je jako se procházet nekonečnými chodbami podsvětí. Jsou tu pochováni padlí kněží, lidé s pokřivenou myslí. Hned u vchodu se povalují ohlodané kosti. ENGULFED are back to bring us another album packed to the brim with hate, filth and first class death metal. Once again it will be sacrificed to the dark cults.
I consider the Turkish band to be one of those bands that can portray true hell with their music. Sharp riffs, melodies full of hate, anger and crazy ideas. The songs drip with bad blood and you can enjoy true, unadulterated and real death. The new album will crush you to dust and wipe you off the face of the earth.
Listening to the new album "Unearthly Litanies of Despair" is like falling on your back into the dark depths. The sound, the cover, the production, the overall execution, everything is subordinated to one thing. Absolute darkness and hell! Eerie atmosphere, technical prowess, morbid echoes, blasphemy. I look into the darkness and listen to the maniacal screaming. I like the power I feel from the recording, I admire the rush of energy. The Turks act like a natural element, like a tsunami that reaches the beyond. Dusty bones fly through the air and Satan smiles once more. I'm not surprised, it's mostly for him, and all the demons. If you're a fan of bands like DEAD CONGREGATION, IMPRECATION, DISMA, INCANTATION, CRUCIAMENTUM, GRAVE MIASMA, MORBID ANGEL, and other obscurantists, you might like this record. It won't leave you in peace for a moment. There is a hard-to-define restlessness in the individual ideas. I felt like I was locked in an old dungeon, chained to the wall. Today I'm the victim. I'm waiting for the beast of old to tear me apart. But only my poor, lifeless body is thrown to it. The dirty work has already been done by ENGULFED and their new album. They're like ferocious dogs guarding the entrance to the underground. This is an ancient, archaic ritual, not for the faint of heart. This lethal metal will carve a long bloody trail into your head. Powerful build-ups, crushing drums, disease-soaked vocals, all of this makes this new release a literal must for anyone who has ever looked into the darkness. Listening to "Unearthly Litanies of Despair" is like walking the endless corridors of the underworld. There are fallen priests buried here, people with twisted minds.
