Otevřel jsem okno a málem upadl na zem. Kdysi krásné město bylo najednou zahaleno do šedých mraků. Nebývalé ticho předpovídalo něco děsivého. Mrazilo mě v zádech. Chvíli jsem nevěděl, jestli je to špatný sen nebo hnusná realita. Z katarze mě vytáhl až první blesk, který projel oblohou jako čerstvě nabroušený nůž. Možná jsem si apokalypsu představoval trošku jinak. Méně šílenou, méně bolestivou. Teď už jsem věděl, že není návratu, teď už jsem si byl jistý, že je konec. Absolutní konec.

Mám rád staré sci-fi příběhy. Takové ty temné, divoké, surové. Stejné jako hudba německých black metalistů VORGA. Ti letos přicházejí se svojí druhou dlouhohrající deskou a rovnou musím napsat, že se jedná o hodně návykový, podmanivý materiál. Budete se vznášet tmou a kolem vás bude jenom zlo, špína a nenávist. Ztratíte se ve věčnosti.

Němci jsou v nových skladbách vznešení, majestátní, ale i syroví a zemití. Jejich black metal je velmi dobře napsaný, rozhodně se nejedná o dnes tolik časté retro. Naopak, pánové se snažili do jednotlivých motivů propašovat zajímavé a neotřelé pasáže. Mají svůj rukopis, vlastní ksicht chcete-li. Určitě znáte ten zvláštní pocit, když letíte letadlem a pod vámi se válí hromada černých mraků. Tak přesně takhle se cítím i při poslechu "Beyond The Palest Star". Jedná se o velmi sugestivní, pestrý materiál, který udělá určitě dobře jak fanouškům klasického, tradičního black metalu, tak i všem, kteří mají bohatou fantazii a nebojí se progresivních prvků. Je vlastně velmi těžké hudbu těchto maniaků definovat a je to tak dobře. Osobně se mi nejvíc líbí takový ten zvláštní neklid v pozadí, který se vznáší kolem jako zkažené výpary. Oceňuji dobře čitelný a chladný zvuk, rád se dívám i na motiv na obalu. Jako celek je album spíše artefaktem, kusem něčeho, co zkrátka chcete mít, vracet se k tomu a často ani nevíte proč. V black metalu si hodně vybírám, na tenhle styl jsem starý zmlsaný pes, ale VORGA mě ihned chytili do svých drápů. Uvolněte se a nechte se unášet do jiných galaxií. Ve všech vás sice čeká jenom smrt a utrpení, ale i tak se budete usmívat. Tady se totiž hraje pro všechny, kteří mají otevřenou mysl. Jedná se opravdu o hodně zajímavou desku. I opened the window and almost fell to the ground. The once beautiful city was suddenly shrouded in grey clouds. The unprecedented silence foretold something terrible. It sent chills down my spine. For a moment, I didn't know if it was a bad dream or an ugly reality. It was only the first lightning bolt that pulled me out of catharsis, cutting through the sky like a freshly sharpened knife. Maybe I imagined the apocalypse a little differently. Less crazy, less painful. Now I knew there was no turning back, now I was sure it was over. The absolute end.

I like old science fiction stories. The dark, wild, raw kind. Like the music of German black metallers VORGA. This year they come with their second full-length album and I must write right away that it is very addictive, captivating material. You will float through the darkness with only evil, filth and hatred around you. You will be lost in eternity.

The Germans are sublime, majestic, but also raw and earthy in their new compositions. Their black metal is very well written, definitely not the retro that is so common today. On the contrary, the gentlemen have tried to sneak interesting and novel passages into each motif. They have their own handwriting, their own face if you like. You must know that strange feeling when you are flying in a plane and there are a bunch of black clouds below you. That's exactly how I feel listening to "Beyond The Palest Star". This is a very suggestive, colourful material that will definitely do good for fans of classic, traditional black metal as well as for all those who have a rich imagination and are not afraid of progressive elements. It's actually very hard to define the music of these maniacs and that's just as well. Personally, what I like the most is that strange uneasiness in the background that hovers around like a corrupted vapor. I appreciate the easy to read and cool sound, I also like looking at the motif on the cover. As a whole, the album is more of an artifact, a piece of something you just want to have, to come back to, and often you don't even know why. I'm very picky when it comes to black metal, I'm an old dog for this style, but VORGA immediately caught me in their claws. Relax and let yourself drift into other galaxies. In all of them, death and misery await you, but you'll still smile. For this is a game for those with an open mind. This is a very interesting record. Don't miss it.
