Vždycky sis myslel, že tě poslouchá, že nad tebou drží ochranou ruku. Modlil ses doma, chodil si pravidelně do kostela a dodržoval desatero. Každou ránu, kterou ti život přinesl, si snášel s pokorou. Jenže už nemůžeš. Máš pocit, že tě zradil, že už tě neslyší. Ďábla potkáváš každý den. Má mnoho podob, ale jeho existenci vnímáš. Jeho jedovatá slova, jeho zlé myšlenky. Bůh už tě dávno opustil, zůstala ti jediná pravá víra. Metal! Ne, nedělám si legraci, my staří psi to takhle máme.

V mé sbírce jsou všechna alba švýcarských MESSIAH. Jako asi každý opravdový fanoušek uctívám staré nahrávky z devadesátých let. Líbila se mi i návratová deska "Fracmont" (2020). Recenzi a skvělý rozhovor naleznete dole pod článkem. Od té doby kapelu bohužel zasáhl osud a zemřel zpěvák Andy Kaina. Zdálo se, že tuhle smečku také opustila víra. Ale oni se vrátili ještě silnější, s novým vokalistou Marcusem Seebachem, který má také parádní a surovější hlas. Nebudu vás déle napínat, novinka "Christus Hypercubus" je vynikající. Je skvělé, jak se MESSIAH stále vyvíjejí. Letos působí ostřeji, syrověji. Smetou vás jako zimní vichřice!

Od té doby, co mám doma album na recenzi, tak pokaždé, když jdu kolem kostela a potkám sochy Ježíše Krista, vzpomenu se na motiv na obalu. Přeběhne mi mráz po zádech a musím si v přehrávači vyhledat a pustit novou nahrávku "Christus Hypercubus". Do žil se mi najednou dostane obrovské množství energie a mám pocit, že mi v krvi kolují malé kousky ledu. Je to hodně návykový materiál. Kombinace death metalu, thrashe a kovové tmy mi vždy dělala dobře a letošní počin si opravdu velmi užívám. Vlastně se mi vůbec nechce nic psát. Raději se toulám ulicemi, navštěvuji staré chrámy, sedávám na hřbitovech a poslouchám nové album. Mám rád, když ve mě kapela dokáže vyvolat emoce, když mě rozdrásá svojí hudbou. MESSIAH jsou letos velmi silní, mají skvělý masivní zvuk (je pod ním podepsán kytarista V.O. Pulver). Kapela předkládá své typické postupy, ale zároveň se dále vyvíjí. Ve skladbách je obsažen určitý neklid, jakási magická přitažlivost. Myslím si, že tohle se nedá naučit. Musíte to mít v sobě. Těžko se to vysvětluje, ale to asi ani dělat nemusí. Staří fanoušci moc dobře vědí, o čem píšu. Atmosféra je podmanivě chladná, záhadná, majestátní. Znovu a znovu otevírám rezavé dveře do kostela a marně v něm hledám víru. Kolem nás je poslední roky možná až příliš zla. Vážím si pak každého dobrého člověka, každé desky, která mě zasáhne, chytí a nepustí. Jsem znovu prokletý a užívám si jednotlivé motivy, nápady plné chladu, temnoty a obracím kříže směrem dolů. Bůh už mě dávno opustil, zůstala mi jediná pravá víra. Heavy thrash death metal, u kterého se vám objeví stigmata! Tohle album hoří jasným černým plamenem!

I have all the Swiss MESSIAH albums in my collection. Like any true fan, I worship old records from the 90s. I also liked the comeback album "Fracmont" (2020). You can find the review and a great interview below the article. Since then, the band has unfortunately been struck by fate and lead singer Andy Kaina has passed away. Faith seemed to have left this pack as well. But they've come back even stronger, with new vocalist Marcus Seebach, who also has an awesome and raw voice. I won't bore you any longer, the new song "Christus Hypercubus" is excellent. It's great how MESSIAH is still evolving. This year they are more edgy, more raw. They will sweep you away like a winter storm!

Since I have the album at home for review, every time I walk by a church and see statues of Jesus Christ, I think of the motif on the cover. A chill runs down my spine and I have to search for and play the new recording of "Christus Hypercubus" in my player. Suddenly, a huge amount of energy enters my veins and I feel like there are little bits of ice in my blood. It's very addictive stuff. The combination of death metal, thrash and metallic darkness has always done me good and I'm really enjoying this year's release. Actually I don't want to write anything at all. I prefer to wander the streets, visit old temples, sit in cemeteries and listen to the new album. I like it when a band can evoke emotions in me, when they tear me apart with their music. MESSIAH are very strong this year, they have a great massive sound (guitarist V.O. Pulver is signed to it). The band puts forward their typical methods, but at the same time they continue to evolve. There is a certain restlessness in the compositions, a kind of magical attraction. I don't think that can be taught. You have to have it in you. It's hard to explain, but I don't think you have to do that. Old fans know what I'm writing about. The atmosphere is captivatingly cool, mysterious, majestic. I open the rusty door to the church again and again, searching in vain for faith. Perhaps there has been too much evil around us of late. I appreciate then every good person, every record that reaches me, grabs me and doesn't let go. I am cursed again and I enjoy the individual motifs, the ideas full of coldness, darkness and I turn the crosses downwards. God left me long ago, the only true faith left. Heavy thrash death metal that will give you the stigmata! This album burns with a bright black flame!
