Nejsou vidět, ani slyšet. Útočí ze tmy a zůstávají po nich zohavená těla. Nikdo neví, kdy se objevili poprvé, ale osobně to podle mého muselo být na konci osmdesátých let minulého století. Legendy vyprávějí, že přiletěli z jiné galaxie. Jsou krvelační, nekompromisní a neznají slitování. Toulají se tichými ulicemi a odchytávají slabé kusy. Ty potom pomalu zabíjejí a dělají na nich pokusy. Démoni z vesmíru. Ďáblové ze tmy. Máte rádi filmy režiséra Johna Carpentera? Říkají vám něco názvy filmů jako „The Thing“, „Prince of Darkness“ a „In the Mouth of Madness“?
Potom jste zde správně. Floridská legenda MASSACRE, která se před několika lety vrátila, aby nás znovu zničila svým klasickým a tradičním death metalem, je znovu zpátky s novým EP "Tri-pocalypse". A jedná se opět o vysokooktanovou jízdu, na jejímž konci je vždy jenom smrt.
Jsem starý fanoušek kapely a jako takový samozřejmě uctívám jejich nahrávky z devadesátých let. Líbí se mi ale i to, jakým způsobem přistupují ke své hudbě v novodobé historii. Od vydání alba "Resurgence" (2021) se s recenzemi na jejich nahrávky můžete setkat i na našich stránkách (odkazy naleznete dole pod článkem, včetně parádního rozhovoru s basákem Mikem Bordersem). Novinka pokračuje v tom, co tahle smečka umí nejlépe. V ryzí a poctivé morbidní práci. Za přispění zvukového mistra Jonny Petterssona je sound masivní, divoký a živočišný. Líbí se mi, že si kapela stále zachovává svůj výraz a ksicht (hodně i díky nezaměnitelnému vokálu Kam Leeho), ale zároveň se vyvíjí. A to všechno v rámci značky MASSACRE. Určitě jste kdysi jako mladí také chodili do kina na horory. Nejlépe s hezkou dívkou po boku. Když jste ji potom vyprovázeli domů, ohlíželi jste se neustále za sebe. Občas jste měli pocit, že jste zahlédli oči ve tmě, které vás sledují. Tak přesně taková atmosféra je i na "Tri-pocalypse". Riffy, které se vám zadřou pod kůži, možná ještě hlouběji, do vašeho podvědomí, do myšlenek. Už dávno všichni víme, že jsou mezi námi. Vypadají jako my. Usmívají se, ale pod povrchem naleznete jenom hromadu šílených maniakálních myšlenek. Opět byla nalezena podivná, zelená tekutina v jednom opuštěném kostele. Stejně jako hudba v sobě obsahuje esenci samotného Satana, který jednou ovládne celý náš svět. Možná se mu to už povedlo. Stačí se rozhlédnout kolem sebe. Nejsou vidět, ani slyšet. Útočí ze tmy a zůstávají po nich zohavená těla. Tradiční, klasický old school death metal plný hrůzné hororové atmosféry! Vládci temnoty jsou zpět!

Then you've come to the right place. Florida legends MASSACRE, who came back a few years ago to destroy us again with their classic and traditional death metal, are back again with their new EP "Tri-pocalypse". And it is once again a high-octane ride with only death at the end of it every time.
I'm an old fan of the band and as such I obviously worship their records from the 90s. But I also like the way they approach their music in modern times. Since the release of "Resurgence" (2021), you can also find reviews of their recordings on our site (links at the bottom of the article, including a cool interview with bassist Mike Borders). The new album continues to show what this pack does best. In pure and honest morbid work. With the help of sound master Jonny Pettersson, the sound is massive, wild and animalistic. I like that the band still retains its expression and face (thanks in large part to Kam Lee's unmistakable vocals), but is evolving at the same time. And it's all within the MASSACRE brand. I'm sure you used to go to the cinema to see horror movies when you were young. Preferably with a pretty girl by your side. Then when you walked her home, you kept looking behind you. Sometimes you thought you saw eyes in the darkness following you. That's exactly the atmosphere of "Tri-pocalypse". Riffs that get under your skin, maybe even deeper, into your subconscious, into your thoughts. We've all known for a long time that they're among us. They look like us. They smile, but under the surface you don't just find a bunch of crazy manic thoughts. Again, a strange green liquid was found in an abandoned church. Like music, it contains the essence of Satan himself, who will one day take over our world. He may have already succeeded. Just look around you. They are neither seen nor heard. They attack from the darkness and leave mutilated bodies. Traditional, classic old school death metal with a horror atmosphere! The Lords of Darkness are back!
