Nejhorší nejsou horory, které se odehrávají v kinech, ale ty které jsou v našich hlavách. Koneckonců, většina dobrých filmů byla inspirována krutou realitou. Tajemný dům na obalu nové desky VINCENTA CROWLEYHO tak hodně připomíná domov Normana Batese, který tak rád hlídal svoji matku. Propojení starého death metalu, děsivých nálad, pradávného heavy kovu a doomové atmosféry, vás přenese do těch nejšílenějších nočních můr. Poslouchám novou desku "Anthology Of Horror" a připadám si jako v dobách, kdy jsme si mezi sebou půjčovali staré VHS kazety.

V hudbě je to hodně podobné. Také vám připadají nové skupiny i filmy příliš umělé a dokonalé? Raději volím mistra Hitchcocka a starý kov smrti. Neznám nic lepšího, než si pustit několik jeho snímků, přečíst si Psycho a potom si dát do hlavy novou desku těchto tmářů. Vše je chladné, temné, krvavé. Najednou se vše propojí a vy uvidíte záblesk nože ve tmě, když půjdete v noci do ledničky. Nebo je to jen představa?

Vše je ohlodáno až na kost, riffy jsou klasické, tradiční, velmi dobře napsané. Vincent Crowley (ACHERON) zúročil svoje dlouholeté zkušenosti a nahrál se svými kolegy desku, která hoří jasným černým plamenem. Pokud jste vyrůstali na kapelách typu CANDLEMASS, BLACK SABBATH, MERCYFUL FATE a postupně jste se dostali ke smečkám jako VITAL REMAINS, POSSESSED, MASSACRE a dalším old school death metalovým kapelám, určitě oceníte i novou desku "Anthology Of Horror". Je to hodně podmanivá, nebál bych se napsat magická záležitost. Během poslechu se budete pohybovat na tenké hranici mezi krutou realitou a zlým snem. Bude vás pronásledovat sériový vrah, budete pitváni zaživa. Je to jako otevřít Pandořinu skříňku plnou pradávných chorob. Každý z nás máme nějaké tajemství. Mnohdy bývá hodně temné. Pánové jej vzali a vytáhli na povrch. A udělali to za pomocí skvělé hudby, s masivním a perfektně čitelným zvukem. Až po nějaké době vám dojde, že stojíte v krvavé mlze na starém, zdánlivě opuštěném hřbitově. Zazní první riff a z hrobů začnou vylézat nemrtví. Jejich tváře se budou usmívat, ale nebude to příjemný úsměv. Líbí se mi vlastně všechno. Obal, produkce, ale hlavně velké množství nápadů a motivů, které mě zcela pohltily. Možná je to tím, že mi podobná hudba koluje v krvi, možná tím, že máme podobnou hudební historii. Ani jedno mi ale nebráni v tom, abych si vše náležitě užil. Naopak, ze songů cítím obrovské nadšení pro věc, pro temné myšlenky, pro muziku jako takovou. To vše je potom podepřeno velkým talentem. Nejhorší nejsou horory, které se odehrávají v kinech, ale ty které jsou v našich hlavách. Nezapomínejte na to! Mrazivá, děsivá hororová symfonie! Heavy doom death metal, u kterého ožívají přízraky!

The mysterious house on the cover of VINCENT CROWLEY's new album is so much like the home of Norman Bates, who loved to watch over his mother. The fusion of old death metal, eerie moods, ancient heavy metal and doom atmosphere will transport you to the craziest nightmares. I listen to the new album "Anthology Of Horror" and I feel like in the days when we used to borrow old VHS tapes from each other.

Everything is gnawed to the bone, the riffs are classic, traditional, very well written. Vincent Crowley (ACHERON) has capitalized on his years of experience and recorded with his colleagues a record that burns with a bright black flame. If you grew up on bands like CANDLEMASS, BLACK SABBATH, MERCYFUL FATE and gradually got to bands like VITAL REMAINS, POSSESSED, MASSACRE and other old school death metal bands, you will appreciate the new album "Anthology Of Horror". It's a very captivating, I wouldn't be afraid to write magical affair. While listening to it you will be on the thin line between harsh reality and a bad dream. You will be haunted by a serial killer, you will be dissected alive. It's like opening a Pandora's box full of ancient diseases. We all have secrets. Often very dark. The gentlemen have taken it and brought it to the surface. And they did it with the help of great music, with a massive and perfectly clear sound. It's only after a while that you realise you're standing in a bloody fog in an old, seemingly abandoned graveyard. The first riff hits and the undead begin to crawl out of their graves. Their faces will smile, but it won't be a pleasant smile. I like everything about it. The cover, the production, but most of all the large number of ideas and themes that completely engulfed me. Maybe it's because I have similar music in my blood, maybe it's because we have a similar musical history. But neither of them prevents me from enjoying everything properly. On the contrary, from the songs I feel a huge enthusiasm for the cause, for the dark ideas, for the music itself. All this is then underpinned by great talent. The worst horror movies aren't the ones that take place in cinemas, but the ones that are in our heads. Don't forget that! A freezing, terrifying horror symphony! Heavy doom death metal that makes ghosts come alive!
