Syrové maso, ohlodané až na kost. Pravé, krvavé kořeny. Vztek a zuřivost, které vzešly z temných lidských myšlenek. Prašivina, hniloba a spousta nahrubo nasekané energie. Tohle všechno naleznete na nové desce legendárních death metalistů MASTER. Paul Speckmann táhne tuhle káru plnou polámaných a rozdrcených kostí od roku 1985. Už jenom když se podíváte na diskografii kapely, naleznete spoustu zásadních stylových alb, bez kterých by smrtící kov vypadl možná úplně jinak. V novodobé historii jsou ale tihle maniaci stále silní. Možná již nepřekvapují ničím novým, ale hrobnické řemeslo zvládají stále na výbornou.

Důkazem budiž i novinka "Saints Dispelled", která v sobě stále obsahuje spoustu zajímavých momentů. Základem jsou stále tradiční, klasické postupy made in MASTER, přidávány jsou potom kousky z metalové a rockové historie. Z některých songů je cítit lehká inspirace třeba takovými MOTORHEAD nebo BLACK SABBATH.

Zkrátka a dobře, jako starý fanoušek kapely jsem si našel to své. MASTER nikdy nepřekročí neviditelnou čáru kvality. Je na ně spolehnutí, jsou pro mě pevným a záchytným bodem v dnešním divném světě. Letos se opravdu povedl obal. Autorem je Richard Schouten z Holandska (jinak také kytarista Acrostichon). Zaručen je jako vždy perfektní zvuk, který je namíchán přesně tím způsobem, jakým to mám rád - vše je náležitě špinavé a živočišné, ale zároveň čitelné. Hlavní pro mě potom je, že Paulovi a jeho věrným nové skladby věřím. Jsou surové, ohlodané na kost. Nikde nic nepřebývá, ani nechybí. Každý, kdo má tuhle smečku rád, bude určitě spokojen. Oceňuji i snahu o lehký vývoj v rámci vlastního stylu. Vždycky, když se vracím ze svých čím dál tím častějších výletů do lesů a dávno opuštěných pohřebišť, nechce se mi vracet do současného pokřiveného světa. Raději se zavírám znovu a znovu do své kobky a poslouchám stále dokola nové album "Saints Dispelled". Je v něm totiž úplně všechno, co si můžu jako starý metalový pes přát. Spousta tlaku, polámaných kostí, rebelie, ostrých melodií, i drtivých bicích, charakteristického Paulova vokálu, který časem zraje jako dobrá whiskey. Určitě znáte ten pocit, když si přinesete domů nějakou novou desku, sednete si a po několika přehráních přesně víte, že je to ono! To se mi letos stalo s tímto albem a můžu vám to podepsat vlastní krví. Syrové maso, ohlodané až na kost. Pravé, krvavé kořeny. Vztek a zuřivost, které vzešly z temných lidských myšlenek. All this can be found on the new album of legendary death metallers MASTER. Paul Speckmann has been pulling this cart full of broken and crushed bones since 1985. Just looking at the band's discography, you'll find a lot of essential styles that death metal might have looked very different without. In modern history, though, these maniacs are still going strong. They may not surprise with anything new anymore, but they still master the gravedigger's craft to perfection.

The proof is the new release "Saints Dispelled", which still contains many interesting moments. The basis is still the traditional, classic Made in MASTER methods, then bits of metal and rock history are added. From some of the songs you can feel a slight inspiration from such as MOTORHEAD or BLACK SABBATH.

Long story short, as an old fan of the band, I found my thing. MASTER never crosses the invisible line of quality. They can be counted on, they are a solid and clue point for me in today's weird world. The cover artwork this year was really good. The author is Richard Schouten from Holland (otherwise also guitarist of Acrostichon). As always, it's guaranteed to have a perfect sound, mixed exactly the way I like it - everything is properly dirty and animalistic, but at the same time legible. The main thing for me then is that I trust Paul and his faithful new songs. They're raw, gnawed to the bone. Nothing is missing or missing anywhere. Anyone who likes this pack will be pleased. I also appreciate the effort to evolve slightly within their own style. Every time I return from my increasingly frequent trips to the woods and long-abandoned burial grounds, I don't want to return to the current warped world. I prefer to shut myself in my dungeon and listen to the new album "Saints Dispelled" over and over again. It has everything I could want as an old metal dog. Lots of pressure, broken bones, rebellion, sharp melodies, and crushing drums, Paul's characteristic vocals that mature over time like good whiskey. I'm sure you know the feeling when you bring home a new record, sit down and after a few plays you know exactly what it is! That's what happened to me this year with this album and I can sign it for you in my own blood. Raw meat, gnawed to the bone. Real, bloody roots.
