A few questions - interview with death metal band from Bulgaria - CERTAIN DEMISE.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play etc.?

We are a Death Metal band from Sofia, Bulgaria. The group was formed right around October of 2020 The line-up consists of Luchezar Vladimirov on bass, Alexander Ivanov on guitar, Dobromir Angelov on drums and Boyan Sotirov on guitar and vox.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

It was recorded in studio “The Morgue” April-July 2023, engineered, mixed, mastered by Vasil Dimitrov "Corpsedrip".

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

It was issued on cassette only by Bulgarian label Panzer Productions and around 100 copies were made.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

Boyan and Alex wrote them. The lyrics deal with issues like death, sorrow, tranquility and the afterlife.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

Our friend Georgi Angelov “Gialog” created the base of the logo and Corpsedrip made it more drippy and slimy. The cover of our newest effort "Profane Chants Of The Forsaken" was created by Violeta Velikova “Skadi”. We don't have a website, but we do have social media. We consider it vital to having a connection with fans and bands all around the world.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

As said earlier, Panzer Productions put it out though we don’t have a contract or anything, it was all thanks to the generosity of Panzer Productions main man Stoycho Dimitrov (Eternal hails!!!)

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

We worship bands such as Gorguts, Entombed, Sentenced and Autopsy, Incantation and (Early) Paradise lost.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

We did, it failed miserably. We reached out to Old Shadows Records from Brazil, Headsplitter Records from the USA and some others. They didn't respond at all, which was quite discouraging. (If you know some labels searching for artists, hit us up!)

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

We lost count really, we began playing gigs in late 2021. Best gigs for us are cramped small clubs with a crowd that’s going completely bananas. I don’t think we can say for our selves what our definite “best gig” is, but one of the gigs in Plovdiv stands out!

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

We are planning on releasing a full length in the near future and possibly do a small tour in support of it!

How and where can your fans contact you? Can you provide some contact information?

We have a Facebook page, and an Instagram page that we moderate frequently, but we also have an Email - certaindemise661@gmail.com

Thanx for the interview.

Thank you for the interview!!! ETERNAL HAILSSS!!!
