Jsem zvyklý na různé podivné zvuky, jsem zvyklý na neodbytný pocit, že mě někdo sleduje. Dělám hrobníka již přes třicet let a za tu dobu jsem zažil spoustu zajímavostí. Všechny byly zahalené do temnoty a obyčejného smrtelníka by pěkně vyděsily. Jenže já poslouchám death metal, já si vybírám jenom hroby, které mi mohou vydat dobrou hudbu. Tentokrát jsem se vydal na dlouhý výlet do Kolumbie. OSSUARY, kapela, o které jsem již na našich stránkách psal. Pánové jsou zde s novou deskou a musím rovnou napsat, že se jedná o velmi dobrý zahnívající obřad.

Zombie zase jednou vylézají z děr a tančí do rytmu. Zběsile a divoce. Opadává jim maso od kostí a děje se to v šílených rytmech nového alba "Stellar Annihilation". Pokud máte chuť, vydejte se se mnou a s kapelou na misi do záhrobí. Potkáte na ní duše zemřelých i své vlastní démony.

Pánové se volně inspirovali u kapel jako DEATH, PESTILENCE, TERRORIZER, CANNIBAL CORPSE. A udělali to velmi zkušeně a elegantně. Já vím, v současné době je podobných smeček všude velké množství, ale kolumbijským šílencům jejich morbidní práci zkrátka věřím. Možná za to může parádní plesnivý zvuk, možná obal, ale hlavně spousta skvělých nápadů, u kterých nadskakují víka od rakví. Troufám si tvrdit, že do téhle hrobky se budu rád a často vracet. Mám totiž pocit, že znovu a znovu prosévám mezi prsty prach, který tu zůstal po prokletých. Pánové sice nevymýšlejí nic nového, ani převratného, ale nové album není jen dobře odvedeným řemeslem. Slyším ze skladeb i něco navíc, něco temného a chladného. Kapele se povedlo přenést mě na staré pohřebiště, mezi dávno rozpadlé hroby. Na náhrobcích jsou napsána samá známá jména. Zavedou mě do rohu, hned vedle hřbitovní zdi. Je tu i mé jméno. Je na čase ulehnout do své rakve. Líbí se mi přístup, celkový dojem i atmosféra, které z desky slyším. Jsi prach a v prach se obrátíš. Krutost, síla, odhodlání, touha ničit hudbou. Tohle všechno zde naleznete a mě nezbývá, než hodnotit velmi vysoko. A hlavně! Mě baví "Stellar Annihilation" poslouchat a rád se k němu vracím. Mraky jsou černé a dotýkají se země. První blesk, první ostrý riff. Mrtvoly se začínají hýbat ve svých hrobech. Vše je v nejlepším pořádku. Starý, prašivý smrtící kov z dávno opuštěných pohřebišť! Masakr v márnici!

I'm used to all sorts of strange noises, I'm used to the insistent feeling that I'm being watched. I've been a gravedigger for over thirty years, and I've seen a lot of interesting things in that time. All of them shrouded in darkness, and they'd scare the living daylights out of a mere mortal. But I listen to death metal, I only choose graves that can give me good music. This time I took a long trip to Colombia. OSSUARY, a band I've already written about on our website. The gentlemen are here with a new record and I must write straight away that it is a very good rotting rite.

Once again the zombies come out of their holes and dance to the beat. Furious and wild. The flesh is falling off their bones and it's happening to the crazy rhythms of the new album "Stellar Annihilation". If you feel like it, join me and the band on a mission to the afterlife. You'll meet the souls of the dead and your own demons.

The gentlemen were inspired by bands like DEATH, PESTILENCE, TERRORIZER, CANNIBAL CORPSE. And they did it very skilfully and elegantly. I know, there are a lot of similar packs everywhere nowadays, but I simply trust the Colombian madmen for their morbid work. Maybe it's the awesome mouldy sound, maybe it's the cover art, but mostly it's a lot of great ideas that make coffin lids pop. I dare say I'll be returning to this tomb happily and often. I feel like sifting through the dust left by the damned again and again. The gentlemen are not inventing anything new or revolutionary, but the new album is not just a well done craft. I hear something extra from the songs, something dark and cold. The band has managed to transport me to an old burial ground, amongst long decayed graves. The tombstones are inscribed with well-known names. They'll lead me to a corner, right next to the cemetery wall. My name is there. It's time to lie down in my coffin. I like the approach, the overall feel and the atmosphere I hear from the plaque. You're dust and you'll turn to dust. Cruelty, strength, determination, the desire to destroy with music. You can find all this here and I have no choice but to rate it very highly. And above all! I enjoy listening to "Stellar Annihilation" and I love coming back to it. The clouds are black and touch the ground. The first flash, the first sharp riff. The dead begin to stir in their graves. Everything is in perfect order. Old, dusty death metal from long-abandoned burial grounds! Massacre in the morgue!
