Určitě znáte ten podivný pocit, který se dostavuje po děsivých nočních můrách. Někdy ani několik hodin po probuzení nevíte, co je a co není pravda. Padáte do hlubin, topíte se v močálech, umíráte a cítíte neskutečnou bolest. Trávíte dlouhé noci na starých hřbitovech, mezi lidmi, kteří již dávno nejsou mezi živými. Váš rozum nechce pochopit, že existují tajemné a mystické myšlenky, které vás dokáží pohltit. Když se mi něco podobného zdá, dostávám potom chuť na hudbu, která pokračuje v mých nočních můrách.

Španělským ONIRICOUS se u nás na stránkách věnujeme dlouhodobě (recenze jsou odkazovány dole pod článkem). Líbí se mi atmosféra, kterou dokáží tihle maniaci svojí hudbou vytvořit. Připadám si, že znovu a znovu otevírám staré hroby. Exhumuju je a poslouchám u toho plesnivý death metal. Letošní album je volným pokračováním minulých počinů. Opět se jedná o velmi povedené morbidní dílo.

Poslouchat novou desku "Los cultos del ghoul", je jako se toulat děsivým světem H.P. Lovercrafta. Šílené, znepokojivé nálady, riffy, které se vám zadřou pod kůži, atmosféra strachu a beznaděje. Tohle všechno Španělé umí. Jako vzor a inspiraci si vzali kapely typu DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, PESTILENCE, MASSACRE, MORGOTH. Pokud jste jako já starými fanoušky z devadesátých let minulého století a stále máte raději klasické pohřby do země, než spálení na popel, budete určitě spokojeni. Líbí se mi přístup kapely, obdivuji, jakým způsobem jsou skladby napsány. Kývám se do rytmu, jako starý hrobník, který se rád a často toulá mezi náhrobky. Určitě jste někdy viděli, jak se někdo topí v močálech, jak jej pohlcuje hlubina. Postupně se rozloží a shnije. Tak přesně takový pocit mám i z nové desky těchto šílenců. Ze skladeb cítím takové to těžko popsatelné chvění, temnou energii. Nerozumím sice textům, protože španělsky neumím, ale nijak mě to neomezuje. ONIRICOUS sice nepřinášejí do katakomb nic nového, ani převratného, ale jejich práce je poctivá a uvěřitelná. Mezi ostatními se rozhodně neztratí. Dokáží být divocí, temní a magičtí. Hrají přesně druh muziky, která koluje i v mých žilách. Proto mi nezbývá nic jiného, než vám novou desku doporučit. Hoří totiž jasným, černým plamenem. Budete padat do hlubin, topit se v močálech, umírat a cítit neskutečnou bolest. Budete trávit dlouhé noci na starých hřbitovech, mezi lidmi, kteří již dávno nejsou mezi živými. Hnilobný smrtící kov ze starých, dávno opuštěných močálů! Příšera se probudila!

I'm sure you know that strange feeling you get after a terrifying nightmare. Sometimes you don't know what's real and what's not for hours after you wake up. You fall into the depths, drown in the swamp, die and feel incredible pain. You spend long nights in old cemeteries, among people who are no longer among the living. Your mind does not want to understand that there are mysterious and mystical thoughts that can engulf you. When I dream something like this, I then get a taste for music that continues my nightmares.

We have been covering Spain's ONIRICOUS for a long time on our site (reviews are linked at the bottom of the article). I like the atmosphere these maniacs can create with their music. I feel like opening old graves again and again, exhuming them and listening to moldy death metal. This year's album is a loose continuation of the previous ones. Once again it is a very good morbid work.

Listening to the new album, "Los cultos del ghoul", is like wandering through the terrifying world of H.P. Lovercraft. Crazy, disturbing moods, riffs that get under your skin, an atmosphere of fear and hopelessness. The Spanish can do it all. They have taken bands like DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, PESTILENCE, MASSACRE, MORGOTH as a model and inspiration. If you are like me an old fan from the nineties and still prefer classic burials in the ground to being burnt to ashes, you will definitely be satisfied. I like the band's approach, I admire the way the songs are written. I sway to the rhythm, like an old gravedigger who likes to wander among the tombstones often. I'm sure you've seen someone drowning in the swamps, being swallowed by the deep. Gradually it decomposes and rots. That's exactly the feeling I get from the new album of these madmen. I feel this hard to describe shiver, dark energy from the songs. I don't understand the lyrics because I don't speak Spanish, but it doesn't limit me. ONIRICOUS may not bring anything new or groundbreaking to the catacombs, but their work is honest and believable. They certainly won't be lost among the rest. They can be wild, dark and magical. They play exactly the kind of music that runs through my veins. That's why I have no choice but to recommend the new album to you. It burns with a bright, black flame. You will fall into the depths, drown in the swamps, die and feel incredible pain. You will spend long nights in old graveyards, among people who are no longer among the living. The putrid, deadly metal of the old, long-abandoned swamps! The monster has awakened!
