Sestoupím několik pater pod zem. Po plesnivých schodech. Po stěnách stéká hnis a z katakomb se ozývají podivné zvuky. Moc dobře vím, kam jdu. Tuhle kobku navštěvuji pokaždé, když mě štve současný divný svět. Krásné reklamy plné lidí z plastu, střih a rozstřílené mrtvoly, střih a vzteklý dav a rabování. Jsem už starý pes a potřebují svůj klid. Tady, hluboko pod zemí je mi nejlépe. Odstřižen od všeho, rozmlouvám s nemrtvými a poslouchám hudbu, kterou mi doporučí. Tentokrát jsem otevřel jednu starou rakev. Je v ní pohřben prokletý a drží v rukou nové EP britských maniaků OVERTHROW.
Nejsou to jenom staré prašivé thrash metalové postupy, které zde potkáte. Kapela svoje melodie značně ušpinila i blackem a deathem. Posluchač tak dostane pořádnou porci pradávných melodií, u kterých nadskakují víka od rakví. Tahle nahrávka má morbidně podmanivou atmosféru. Pokud jste někdy byly u exhumace hrobů z devadesátých let minulého století, asi moc dobře víte o čem píšu. Nová deska řeže jako čerstvě nabroušený skalpel.
Hudba, kterou britští vojáci apokalypsy hrají, je stará, plesnivá a shnilá. Deska má poctivý, dobře čitelný a zároveň organický zvuk. Připomíná mi staré nahrávky mých oblíbenců, které jsem kdysi poslouchal na kazetách. V současné době je stále na vzestupu vlna thrash metalu. Bohužel, většina mladých kapel v sobě nemá žádný drive ani sílu. OVERTHROW na to jdou jinak. Nijak se fanouškům nepodbízejí, hrají si po svém. A já jim věřím každý tón, každou notu. Určitě to znáte, přinesete si album domů, těšíte se, až bude klid, sednete si a těšíte se. Pak zmáčknete play a buď znuděně odcházíte pryč a nebo shoříte v plamenech, jako v případě "Ascension of the Entombed". Lebky, nabodnuté na kůly, které jsou na obalu, se také perfektně hodí k předkládané muzice. Autorem je Deuteromali z Indonésie a mě nezbývá než napsat - kurva, dobrá práce. To lze ale prohlásit o tomhle EP i jako o celku. Mám rád, když je hudba špinavá a shnilá, líbí se mi, když se dostane do mých žil. Britové nám umíchali jedovatý koktejl, který když vypijete, tak zemřete v krutých křečích. Skladby jsou pokryté pavučinami a obsahují v sobě velké množství patiny, kterou máme my, staří metaloví psi tolik rádi. Nikdy mě neomrzí návštěvy starých katakomb. Potřebuji ke svému životu už jenom tmu, dobrou muziku a nějaké to pivo. Pokud jste na tom stejně jako já, dejte si nové EP od OVERTHROW do hlavy a to pořádně nahlas. Je to opravdový, reálný masakr, u kterého praskají kosti. Pradávný, temný, špinavý black thrash death metal, který vás pohřbí zaživa! Nahrubo nasekaná tma!

I visit this dungeon whenever I'm annoyed by the strangeness of the world. Beautiful ads full of people made of plastic, cut and shot corpses, cut and angry crowds and looting. It's not just the old dusty thrash metal methods you'll find here. The band has also dirtied their tunes considerably with black and death. The listener gets a good portion of ancient melodies that make coffin lids jump. This record has a morbidly captivating atmosphere. If you've ever been to an exhumation of graves from the 1990s, you probably know exactly what I'm writing about. The new record cuts like a freshly sharpened scalpel.
The music the British soldiers of the apocalypse play is old, moldy and rotten. The record has an honest, well-read yet organic sound. It reminds me of old recordings of my favorites that I used to listen to on cassette tapes. There is a wave of thrash metal still on the rise these days. Unfortunately, most young bands have no drive or power in them. OVERTHROW are going about it in a different way. They don't pander to the fans, they play their own way. And I trust them with every note, every note. I'm sure you know, you bring the album home, you're looking forward to it being quiet, you sit back and enjoy it. Then you press play and either walk away bored or burn up in flames, as in the case of "Ascension of the Entombed". The skulls impaled on stakes that are on the cover also fit perfectly with the music presented. The author is Deuteromali from Indonesia, and I have no choice but to write - fuck, good job. But the same can be said about this EP as a whole. I like it when music is dirty and rotten, I like it when it gets into my veins. The Brits have concocted a poisonous cocktail that if you drink it, you'll die of violent convulsions. The songs are covered in cobwebs and contain a great deal of the patina that we old metal dogs love so much. I never get tired of visiting the old catacombs. All I need to live my life is darkness, good music and some beer. If you're like me, get the new EP from OVERTHROW in your head and do it loud. It's real, true bone-cracking carnage. Ancient, dark, dirty black thrash death metal that will bury you alive! Coarsely chopped darkness!
