Chutná jí zkažené maso a ráda se směje. Jsme spolu již dlouhé roky. Máme takový zvyk. Nosím jí dobrou hudbu a každý večer si sedneme k přehrávači a posloucháme. Na nové album GRAND CADAVER jsme se těšili dlouhé dva roky. Přinesl jsem ho domů a zhasnul všechna světla. Byla tma a na její tváři se znovu objevil krásný úsměv. Mám jí moc rád a zůstaneme spolu navždy. Moje vlastní zombie.
Všichni asi víte, že se jedná o skupinu, složenou ze samé severské death metalové šlechty (stačí zmínit jenom jména, ve kterých pánové působili - DARK TRANQUILITY, KATATONIA, NOVARUPTA, TREBLINKA, a nemusím psát nic dalšího). Zvuk, ano, zvuk je tím, co nás přitáhlo k nahrávce hned při prvním poslechu. Řeže, pálí, žhne a je temný i chladný zároveň. Přesně takhle to máme nejraději.
Občas, když máme nějaké výročí, tak ji pozvu tančit. Většinou vyrazíme na starý hřbitov za naším městem. Je půlnoc a v márnici už to pěkně žije. Všichni, živí i nemrtví, máme rádi desky jako je "Deities of Deathlike Sleep". Protože jsou opravdové, reálné a chřestí se u nich pytlem plným kostí. Jestli máte jako my rádi kapely typu ENTOMBED, GOREFEST, GRAVE, DISMEMBER, ENTRAILS, neváhejte ani chvilku. Skladby jsou velmi dobře napsány, mají v sobě drive a pověstnou sílu. Není divu, vždyť je složily a nahrály legendy žánru. Pochválit (ostatně jako vždy) musím výkon Mikaela Stanneho. Opravdu perfektní práce! Zmínit musím i obal, který krásně vystihuje to, co se na albu odehrává. Má svoji atmosféru. Myslím, že si určitě objednám i tričko. Jak už jsem zmiňoval, GRAND CADAVER jsou mistři ve svém oboru. Je radost poslouchat jejich muziku. Není to totiž jenom skvěle zvládnuté řemeslo, ale songy v sobě obsahují i něco navíc. No řekněte, proč bych se jinak při každém poslechu toulal záhrobím a tančil se svojí krásnou zombie? Tohle se podle mě nedá naučit, to musíte mít v sobě, ve svých srdcích. Myslím si, že se k albu budeme ještě hodně dlouho vracet. Tady, daleko na severu, mezi starými náhrobky, je nám stejně vždycky nejlépe. Chutná jí zkažené maso a ráda se směje. You all probably know that this is a band made up of all Nordic death metal royalty (just mention the names the gentlemen were in - DARK TRANQUILITY, KATATONIA, NOVARUPTA, TREBLINKA, and I don't need to write anything else). The sound, yes, the sound is what drew us to the record on the first listen. It cuts, it burns, it glows, and it is dark and cold at the same time. That's exactly how we like it best.
Sometimes, when we have an anniversary, I'll ask her to dance. We usually go to the old cemetery outside our town. It's midnight and the morgue is alive. We all like records like "Deities of Deathlike Sleep". Because they're real, they're real and they rattle a bag full of bones. If like us you like bands like ENTOMBED, GOREFEST, GRAVE, DISMEMBER, ENTRAILS, don't hesitate a moment. The songs are very well written, they have drive and legendary power. No wonder, they were composed and recorded by legends of the genre. I must praise (as always) the performance of Mikael Stanne. Really perfect work! I must also mention the cover art, which beautifully describes what is happening on the album. It has its own atmosphere. I think I will definitely order a t-shirt as well. As I mentioned before, GRAND CADAVER are masters in their field. It is a pleasure to listen to their music. It's not only a great craft, but the songs have something extra in them. Tell me, why else would I be wandering the afterlife and dancing with my beautiful zombie every time I listen to it? I don't think you can teach that, you have to have it in your heart. I think we'll be coming back to this album for a long time. We're always at our best up here in the far north, among the old tombstones anyway. She likes to eat rotten meat and she likes to laugh.
