Měl jsem pocit, že vidím ruku. Ukazovala na mě. Nebo se mi to jenom zdá? Je brzy ráno a nad hřbitovem se válí mlha. Z některých hrobů slyším podivné zvuky. Nejdřív jsem si myslel, že nemrtví uléhají po dlouhé noci ke spánku, ale mýlil jsem se. První vylezla kdysi krásná žena a držela v ruce nové album argentinských CEMETERY DWELL. Usmívala se a i když nic neříkala, rozuměl jsem ji. Desku jsem si ihned poslechl a zjistil jsem, že se jedná o skvěle zahraný death metal staré školy, který by rozhodně neměl chybět v mé sbírce kostí.
Jde o debut, který hoří jasným, černým plamenem. Skvěle napsané, nekompromisní riffy, zabijácké bicí a k tomu zahnívající smrad, tolik známý z čerstvě exhumovaných hrobů. Chvílemi nevím, jestli se jedná o krutou realitu a nebo děsivou noční můru. Pokud jste někdy pracovali jako hrobníci a máte rádi starou smrtící školu, myslím si, že se zde hraje i pro vás.
"Towards a Dreadful Cosmos" je postaveno na pevných základech z devadesátých let minulého století. Rakve jsou otevírány s elegancí starých mistrů. Líbí se mi parádně provedený obal (Bubonic Artworks), užívám si masivní, chladný a plesnivý zvuk (Mixing and mastering by Tyrant). Bylo splněno vše důležité, aby mohl začít starodávný obřad pro vyvoláváni temných sil. Sedíme kolem stolu. Já, zombie, Smrt i samotný Ďábel. Všichni se usmíváme. Hraje se zde hlavně pro nás. Nemrtví mi určitě potvrdí. Kapela pochází z Argentiny a skládá se ze dvou členů - (Tyrant: Cannibal sodom from places the gods have left behind (Guitars, Bass, Vocals), Hoarfrost: Twisted laments from dead galaxies (Drums). Oba pánové odvedli skvělou morbidní práci. Skladby mají drive a sílu a obsahují v sobě velké množství nahrubo nasekané tmy. Otevíráme spolu s kapelou další a další hroby, neustále přidáváme hlasitost, až praskají kosti, až pukají lebky. Tohle je nahrávka určená pro všechny, kteří uctívají klasický, reálný a poctivý kov smrti. CEMETERY DWELL vás roztrhají na kusy a vaše ostatky rozházejí za hřbitovní zdí. Doporučuji poslouchat ve tmě a chladu, teprve potom vyniknou jednotlivé nuance. Kývám se do rytmu, kopu další hrob. Myslím si, že tahle kapela má v sobě velký potenciál do budoucna. Jejich první dlouhohrající album je totiž opravdu skvělé. Chvílemi nevím, jestli se jedná o krutou realitu a nebo děsivou noční můru. Starý, prašivý death metal, pokrytý vrstvou plesnivých pavučin!

I thought I saw a hand. It was pointing at me. Or am I dreaming? It's early in the morning and the fog is rolling in over the cemetery. I can hear strange noises coming from some of the graves. At first I thought the undead were retiring to sleep after a long night, but I was wrong. The first to come out was a once beautiful woman, holding the new album by Argentina's CEMETERY DWELL. She was smiling and even though she didn't say anything, I understood her. I listened to the album immediately and found it to be a well played old school death metal that should definitely not be missing from my bone collection.
This is a debut that burns with a bright, black flame. Well-written, uncompromising riffs, killer drums, and that putrid stench so familiar from freshly exhumed graves. At times I don't know if this is a harsh reality or a terrifying nightmare. If you've ever worked as a gravedigger and you like the old deadly school, I think there's a play here for you too.
"Towards a Dreadful Cosmos" is built on a solid foundation from the 1990s. The coffins are opened with the elegance of the old masters. I like the awesome cover artwork (Bubonic Artworks), I enjoy the massive, cool and musty sound (Mixing and mastering by Tyrant). Everything important has been fulfilled to begin the ancient ritual for invoking dark forces. We sit around the table. Me, the zombies, Death and the Devil himself. We're all smiling. This is a game that's mostly for us. I'm sure the undead will confirm. The band comes from Argentina and consists of two members - (Tyrant: Cannibal sodom from places the gods have left behind (Guitars, Bass, Vocals), Hoarfrost: Twisted laments from dead galaxies (Drums). Both gentlemen did a great morbid job. The tracks have drive and power and contain a great deal of rough-hewn darkness. We open more and more graves with the band, constantly turning up the volume until bones crack, until skulls pop. This is a record for those who worship the classic, real and honest metal of death. CEMETERY DWELL will rip you to shreds and scatter your remains beyond the cemetery wall. I recommend listening in the dark and cold, only then will the nuances stand out. I sway to the rhythm, digging another grave. I think this band has a lot of potential for the future. Their first full-length album is really great. At times I don't know if this is a harsh reality or a terrifying nightmare. Old, dusty death metal, covered in a layer of moldy cobwebs!
