První sirénu si slyšel, když si ležel ve své posteli. Od té doby pro tebe existuje už jenom temnota. Kdo to mohl vědět? Žili jsme obyčejné životy. Až do té doby, než nás napadli vetřelci. Je vcelku jedno, z jaké jsou planety, klidně to mohli být sousedé z vedlejší země. Teď ležíš v zákopech a sbíráš mrtvá těla. Smrt je hodně blízko a tvůj pohled je dávno studený. Snažíš se přežít. Další válka, další utrpení. Lidstvo se nikdy nepoučí. Nakonec to vždy odnesou obyčejní lidé jako ty. Právě si někomu vystřelil mozek z hlavy. Ve jménu víry, ve jménu spravedlnosti. Jsi stále živý, ale zároveň si už dávno zemřel spolu s ním.
Vždycky, když čtu nějakou hodně náročnou knihu, pouštím si k ní dobrou muziku. Mexické THE PIT jsem dosud neznal. Jejich novinka mě přišla na recenzi a já při poslechu hodně přemýšlel. Riffy se dostaly hluboko do mé mysli a již po několika společných setkáních jsem si řekl, že tuhle smečku musím podpořit. Hraje totiž velmi uvěřitelně, poctivě a od srdce.
Jedná se o nahrubo nasekaný thrash death metal ze staré školy, který se bude určitě líbit všem fanouškům starých časů, i melodického kovu smrti ze Švédska (DARKANE, SOILWORK, DIMENZION ZERO). Přirovnání ale nejsou zase tolik důležitá. Pro mě je hlavní, že mě baví album poslouchat, že se k němu rád a často vracím. Líbí se mi vlastně všechno. Zvuk, obal, ale hlavně nápady a celková atmosféra. Poslouchám nahrávku hodně nahlas a najednou moje myšlenky zase létají v temných představách. Jsem vojákem, bojovníkem ze záhrobí, který se přišel pomstít. Jindy zase přistanu po dlouhém letu vesmírem a divím se, co jste s naší planetou udělali a jak ji zničili. Podobné fantazie a přenesené emoce jsou pro mě velmi důležité. Potvrzují mi totiž, že ve mě dokáže hudba probudit pestrou paletu nálad. THE PIT jsou opravdu dobří muzikanti, kteří nezapomínají na to, že songy musí řezat, pálit a žhnout. Zároveň si zachovávají živočišnost, pradávný vztek, který mám v metalu tolik rád. "Of Madness and Evil Whispers" vám mohu jenom doporučit. Jedná se o hudbu, která je propracovaná, velmi dobře složená a zároveň má podmanivou atmosféru. Jako bych se procházel po místech, kde byla nedávno krvavá bitva. Slyším nářek raněných, výstřely. Kolem chodí dáma s kosou a usmívá se. Dnes vstoupí na onen svět spousta hříšníků. Jsem moc rád, že jsem na svých toulkách podzemím tuhle smečku potkal. Je totiž vynikající! Smrt je hodně blízko a tvůj pohled je dávno studený. Thrash death metalový útok vojáků temnoty! Absolutně zničující album!

Every time I read a very difficult book, I put on some good music. I've never heard of Mexico's THE PIT before. Their new release came to me for review and I was thinking a lot while listening to it. The riffs got deep into my mind and after only a few meetings together I decided I had to support this pack. Because they play very believable, honest and from the heart.
This is a roughly chopped thrash death metal from the old school, which will surely appeal to all fans of the old days, and melodic death metal from Sweden (DARKANE, SOILWORK, DIMENZION ZERO). Comparisons are not so important. For me the main thing is that I enjoy listening to the album, that I like to come back to it often. I like everything. The sound, the cover, but mainly the ideas and the overall atmosphere. I listen to the record very loudly and suddenly my thoughts are flying in dark imaginations again. I'm a soldier, a warrior from beyond the grave, out for revenge. Other times I land again after a long flight through space and wonder what you have done to our planet and how you have destroyed it. These kinds of fantasies and transported emotions are very important to me. They confirm to me that music can awaken a wide variety of moods in me. THE PIT are really good musicians who don't forget that songs have to cut, burn and burn. At the same time they retain the animalistic, ancient rage that I love so much in metal. I can only recommend "Of Madness and Evil Whispers". This is music that is sophisticated, very well composed and has a captivating atmosphere at the same time. It's like walking through a place where there was a bloody battle not long ago. I can hear the cries of the wounded, the gunshots. A lady walks by with a scythe and smiles. Today, many sinners will enter the next world. I'm glad I met this pack on my underground wanderings. It's delicious! Death is very near, and your gaze is cold. Thrash death metal assault by the soldiers of darkness! Absolutely devastating album!
