Stávalo se to čím dál tím častěji. Výpadky paměti, které když odezněly, tak po nich zůstala v hlavě nekonečná bolest. Kolem tebe se válela zohavená těla. Brodil si se krví a neměl daleko k šílenství. Co jsem to provedl? Říkal sis stále dokola a nechal se zavřít do temné kobky. Teď můžeš zase ven a nechat průchod svým bestiálním myšlenkám. Je totiž válka a takové jako ty potřebují do první linie. Konečně si našel svůj klid. Můžeš zabíjet a ještě ti za to poděkují.
Poslední roky dost často přemýšlím, kde se bere v lidech zlo? Dánští black death metalisté PANZERCHRIST sice na moje otázky nedávají jasné a přesné odpovědi, ale jejich muzika je natolik emotivní a návyková, že najednou začínám spoustu věcí lépe chápat. Jakobych byl zahalený při poslechu do krvavé mlhy. Pánové hrají s nadšením, zkušenostmi a umí navodit atmosféru absolutního nihilismu. Negace všeho dobrého pomocí skvěle zahrané muziky. No řekněte, co si víc může fanoušek záhrobí přát?
Všichni asi víte, že tahle smečka působí v katakombách již od roku 1993. Je tomu již deset let, kdy jsme mohli slyšet poslední album ("7th Offensive"). PANZERCHRIST se vrátili, aby nám ukázali, že rozhodně nepatří do starého železa. Naopak, novinka je velmi dobrou nahrávkou po všech stránkách. Zvuk, obal, celkové provedení, je přesně takové, jak to máme u těchto vojáků temnoty rádi. Chladný, uhrančivý black metal je zde kombinovám se surovým death metalem přesně takovým způsobem, u kterého při poslechu nebudete na tomto světě. Budete se procházet po starých bojištích a kolem oživnou přízraky. Mívám to takhle u všech dobrých desek. Sednu si a v klidu poslouchám. Nejlépe v noci, když je všude kolem klid. Nechám na sebe album působit a pak se pokusím sepsat své představy. U "Last Of A Kind" byly mé myšlenky spoutané řetězy, byl jsem mučen, zastřelen, popraven oběšením. Pokaždé jsem se vrátil z druhé strany. Přijde mi, že kapela udělala při nahrávání to samé. Zavřela se na onen svět, načerpala inspiraci ve starých plesnivých katakombách, na hřbitovech, na kterých jsou hromadné hroby padlých bojovníků. Tahle deska hoří jasným čeným plamenem. Ostré riffy, zničující bicí a jedovatý vokál, tohle všechno dohromady tvoří velmi smrtící koktejl. Stačí se napít a uslyšíte sami. Stávalo se mi to čím dál tím častěji. Výpadky paměti, které když odezněly, tak po nich zůstala v hlavě nekonečná bolest. Démonické, magické black death metalové ozvěny z temnoty! Smrt, válka, zabití!

I've been wondering a lot lately, where does evil come from in people? Danish black death metallers PANZERCHRIST don't give clear and precise answers to my questions, but their music is so emotional and addictive that I suddenly start to understand a lot of things better. It's as if I'm enveloped in a bloody fog while listening to them. The gentlemen play with enthusiasm, experience and can evoke an atmosphere of absolute nihilism. The negation of all that is good through well played music. Well, what more could a fan of the afterlife ask for?
You all probably know that this band has been active in the catacombs since 1993. It's been a decade since we heard their last album ("7th Offensive"). PANZERCHRIST are back to show us that they are definitely not old. On the contrary, the new album is a very good record in all aspects. The sound, the cover art, the overall production, is just the way we like it with these soldiers of darkness. Cold, spellbinding black metal is combined here with raw death metal in exactly the kind of way that you won't be in this world when listening to it. You'll be walking around old battlefields and ghosts will come to life all around you. I used to be like that with all good records. I sit down and I listen quietly. Preferably at night, when it's quiet all around. I let the album work on me and then I try to write down my ideas. With "Last Of A Kind" my thoughts were chained, I was tortured, shot, executed by hanging. Each time I came back from the other side. It seems to me that the band did the same thing when they recorded it. They closed themselves off to the other world, took inspiration from the moldy old catacombs, the cemeteries where the mass graves of fallen warriors are. This record burns with a bright black flame. Sharp riffs, devastating drums, and venomous vocals, all of these combine to make a very lethal cocktail. Just take a sip and hear for yourself. It was happening to me more and more.
