Nakonec přišli všichni. Oběšení, utopení, upálení i umučení. Skláněli se nad mojí otevřenou rakví a vzpomínali, co všechno jsme spolu zažili. Proběhnou nějaké smuteční řeči, ale všichni moc dobře víme, že není čeho litovat. Už byl na mě tenhle svět moc zlý, moc ošklivý a tak jsem napustil vanu studenou vodou a vzal do rukou žiletku. Jdeme ruku v ruce směrem do podzemí. Po kamenných schodech. Na stěnách jsou pavučiny a ze tmy zní nářek hříšníků. Konečně jsem na druhé straně. A poslouchám novou desku maniaků ETERNAL ROT.
Mám pro jejich mokvající a prašivý doom death metal velkou slabost. Důkazem budiž recenze na jejich minulé desky i rozhovor, které jsou odkazovány dole pod článkem. I letos se jedná o pravověrný pohřeb do země, u kterého by neměl chybět žádný obdivovatel absolutní tmy, práchnivějících kostí a nekonečného smutku. Rakev pomalu klesá do nicoty, přidejte prosím hlasitost.
Opět se jedná o hudbu volně inspirovanou smečkami jako ANATOMIA, DISMA, WINTER, COFFINS, AUTOPSY, HELLHAMMER, HOODED MENACE, UNDERGANG, DECOMPOSED, WINTER. Jakoby byla otevřená stará kobka, ve které dlouhé roky tleje tělo nakažené chorobou, proti které se nelze bránit. Ulicemi se toulají dávno mrtvá těla. Odpadává jim maso od kostí a tváře se šklebí bolestí. Schválně, dokážete spočítat způsoby, kterými se lidé mezi sebou zabíjejí? Mnohé napoví obal od mistra Marka Riddicka. A také morbidní, hutný a masivní zvuk. Odhrňte pavučiny a podívejte se dovnitř. Ano, v téhle rakvi je i vaše minulost. Líbí se mi atmosféra celé desky, všechny ty těžké, krví nasáklé nálady. Starosvětský feeling, touha ničit a zabíjet ostrými riffy. Skladby se valí kupředu jako buldozer, zahrnující hromadný hrob. Celou dobu se pohybujeme v temnotě, kolem se kývají do rytmu dlouhé stíny a největšími fanoušky jsou samozřejmě prokletí. Až zase jednou odvrátíš tvář, až spatříš něco nechutného, tak si pamatuj, že existuje i svět na druhé straně. Negace všeho dobrého, kde je ráj jen prázdné slovo. Už zase mě nesou na márách, už zase se těším, až mě spálí na popel. Stokrát jsem umřel a stokrát se narodil a stále dokola poslouchám "Moribound". Jedná se o album, které se stalo mojí součástí. Až navěky, amen! Skvělá hrobnická práce! Morbidní doom death metalová panychida! Syrový, temný pohřeb do studené země!

In the end, everyone came. Hanged, drowned, burned and tortured. They bowed over my open coffin and remembered all we'd been through together. There'll be some eulogies, but we all know there's nothing to regret. This world was getting too bad, too ugly for me, so I filled the tub with cold water and picked up a razor. I have a great weakness for their swampy and dusty doom death metal. For proof, check out the reviews of their past albums and the interview linked at the bottom of the article. This year is also a true burial into the earth, where no admirer of absolute darkness, stinking bones and endless sadness should miss. The coffin slowly descends into the nowhere, please turn up the volume.
Again, this is music loosely inspired by bands like ANATOMY, DISMA, WINTER, COFFINS, AUTOPSY, HELLHAMMER, HOODED MENACE, UNDERGANG, DECOMPOSED. It is as if an old dungeon had been opened, in which a body has been smouldering for years, infected with a disease against which there is no defence. Long dead bodies wander the streets. Their flesh falling off their bones and their faces contorted in pain. Can you count the ways in which people kill each other? The cover artwork by the master, Mark Riddick, will give you a clue. And the morbid, dense and massive sound. Pull back the cobwebs and take a look inside. Yes, there's your past in this coffin. I like the vibe of the whole record, all the heavy, blood-soaked moods. The old-world feeling, the desire to destroy and kill with sharp riffs. The songs roll forward like a bulldozer, encompassing a mass grave. We're in darkness the whole time, long shadows swaying to the beat all around, and of course the biggest fans are the damned. The next time you turn your face away, the next time you see something disgusting, remember that there is a world on the other side. A negation of all that is good, where paradise is just an empty word. I'm being carried away on the waves again, I'm looking forward to being burned to ashes again. A hundred times I've died and a hundred times I've been born, listening to "Moribound" over and over again. It's an album that's become a part of me. Forever and ever, amen! Great gravedigger work!
