Krev stékala z pódia a moje dívka ječela děsem. Vzal jsem ji do kina, na starý poctivý horor od Michela Soaviho. Klasický film Deliria, který by měl vidět každý fanoušek podobných záležitostí. Šli jsem domů a lekali se každého stínu. Tuhle noc jsme moc nespali. Chvílemi jsme nevěděli, co je pravda a co jenom šílený sen. Stáli jsme na jevišti a vyšetřovali ošklivou vraždu. Bdíme a nebo sníme? Kdo to ví? Nalezli nás ráno, s proříznutým krkem. Naše krev byla rudá a místností se vznášel pach smrti.
Tímto filmem se inspirovali i italští maniaci DELYRIA, když zakládali svojí kapelu. Letos přicházejí se svým třetím dlouhohrajícím album, které je po okraj narvané tlakem, špínou a zajímavými melodiemi. Doporučuji poslouchat po zhlédnutí nějakého dobrého hororu. Takhle má znít pravý, nefalšovaný death thrash metal!
Hudebně se jedná o velmi dobře zahranou muziku, inspirovanou starou metalovou školou. Základem jsou ostré, nekompromisní riffy. Nenechte se ale mýlit, nejedná se jen o syrovou jízdu bez jakékoliv invence. Naopak! Ve skladbách zazní spousta zajímavých momentů a některé melodie se vám doslova vypálí do hlavy. Při poslechu si připadám jako ve starém archívu. Hluboko pod zemí sleduji děsivé filmy, lekám se vražd, přemýšlím, koho zabijí jako dalšího. Chodím potom domů temnými uličkami a stíny jsou dlouhé. Někdo mě sleduje! Nedivte se, poslouchám stále dokola "III: Oracles and Tentacles", užívám si chladnou a temnou atmosféru. Znovu tančím na hrobech, exhumuji staré vzpomínky. Líbí se mi, že pánové nepodcenili řemeslnou stránku věci. Nová deska má velmi dobrý zvuk, obal i celkovou produkci. Zároveň si zachovává pověstný drive a sílu, nakumulovaný vztek, který máme, my staří fanoušci tohoto stylu tolik rádi. Je slyšet (a podepisuji vám to vlastní krví), že si pánové dali se scénářem téhle nahrávky velkou práci. Nevím, jestli bylo účelem, abych se při poslechu cítil jako přímý účastník hororových filmů, tak se to určitě povedlo. Alespoň takhle vnímám album já. Jako záležitost pro gurmány, kteří ocení masivní útoky na naše podvědomí. Tohle je muzika pro všechny tmáře i prokleté. Poslouchejte v klidu a absolutní tmě. Nejlépe v noci a v momentech, kdy v ulicích loví nemrtví. Prašivý death thrash metal s hororovou atmosférou! Nahrubo nasekaná zkažená krev a absolutní tma!

Blood was dripping from the stage and my girl was screaming in terror. I took her to the cinema to see an old, honest horror film by Michel Soavi. A classic Delirium film that every fan of this sort of thing should see. We went home and scared every shadow. We didn't sleep much that night. At times we didn't know what was real and what was just a crazy dream. We were on stage investigating a nasty murder. Are we awake or dreaming? Who knows? We were found in the morning, with our throats slit. Our blood was red and the smell of death wafted through the room.
This film was the inspiration for the Italian maniacs DELYRIA when they formed their band. This year they come out with their third full-length album, which is packed to the brim with pressure, filth and interesting melodies. I recommend listening after watching a good horror movie. This is what true, unadulterated death thrash metal should sound like!
Musically it is very well played music, inspired by the old school of metal. The basis is sharp, uncompromising riffs. But make no mistake, this is not just a raw ride without any invention. On the contrary! There are a lot of interesting moments in the songs and some melodies will literally burn into your head. Listening to them makes me feel like I'm in an old archive. Deep underground, I watch scary movies, scared of murders, wondering who will be killed next. Then I walk home through dark alleys and the shadows are long. Someone's watching me! Don't be surprised, I listen to "III: Oracles and Tentacles" over and over, enjoying the cold and dark atmosphere. I'm dancing on graves again, exhuming old memories. I like that the gentlemen did not underestimate the craft side of things. The new album has a very good sound, cover and overall production. At the same time it retains the proverbial drive and power, the accumulated rage that we old fans of this style love so much. You can hear (and I'm signing this with my own blood) that the gentlemen have put a lot of work into the scripting of this record. I don't know if the purpose was to make me feel like a direct participant in horror movies while listening to it, but they certainly succeeded. At least that's how I feel about the album. As an affair for foodies who appreciate massive assaults on our subconscious. This is music for the dark and the damned alike. Listen in peace and absolute darkness. Preferably at night and when the undead are hunting in the streets. Dusty death thrash metal with a horror atmosphere! Coarsely chopped, wicked blood and absolute darkness!
