Nemám klid ani po smrti. Pochován za hřbitovní zdí. Náhrobek beze jména. Prokletý. Už zase slyším klepání na moji rakev. Má mrtvá milenka mi chce něco říct. Zde, uprostřed záhrobí, máme rádi jenom hudbu, která dokáže probudit naše shnilá těla. Druhé dlouhohrající album švédských IRONMASTER ihned rozhýbalo moje prašivé kosti. Počkali jsme, až nastane absolutní tma a vylezli jsme ven.
Novinka je totiž až po okraj narvaná syrovým smrtícím kovem v klasickém severském stylu. Dunivé, zabijácké rytmy se střídají s podchlazenými pasážemi. Novinka připomíná můj vlastní pohřeb. Ležím v otevřené rakvi a usmívám se. Tady se hraje přesně pro mě. A pro všechny prokleté.
Jak je asi všeobecně známo, kapela je složena ze zkušených muzikantů - zpěv Roberth Karlsson (SCAR SYMMETRY, FACEBREAKER, Ex-PAN.THY.MONIUM), bicí Janne Jaloma (DARK FUNERAL, AEON, NIGHT CROWNED), basa Jonas Kjellgren (WORLD BELOW, Ex-CENTINEX, Ex-SCAR SYMMETRY). O kvalitu je tak postaráno po všech stránkách. Jonas Kjellgren je podepsán i pod nahráváním, mixem a masteringem. Výsledkem je nahrávka, která vás smete z povrchu zemského. A to nejen po zvukové stránce. Povedl se i démonický obal. Autorem je BlastArt. Skladby jsou napsány s takovým tím starým, poctivým způsobem a feelingem. Pánové sází na jasné, čitelné a zřetelné melodie, které jsou uloženy v rakvích z toho nejkvalitnějšího dřeva. Dělám hrobníka už od devadesátých let minulého století a IRONMASTER si mě získali již předchozím albem "Thy Ancient Fire" z loňského roku (odkaz na recenzi je dole pod článkem). Novinka je potom ještě víc naléhavější, chladnější. Je pro mě velmi příjemné poslouchat ozvěny z onoho světa, procházet se spolu s kapelou mezi stíny a nasávat morbidní atmosféru pohřbů do země. "Weapons of Spiritual Carnage" je deskou, která je určena pro všechny fanoušky zdánlivě opuštěných márnic i ranní mlhy na hřbitově. Už zase slyším klepání na moji rakev. Je čas jít. Smrt čeká! Švédský mrazivý death metalový vichr! Otisk temnoty a chladu!

The new album is stuffed to the brim with raw death metal in classic Nordic style. Thumping, killer rhythms alternate with chilling passages. The new songs reminds me of my own funeral. I'm lying in an open coffin, smiling. This is playing just for me. And for all the damned.
As is probably well known, the band is composed of experienced musicians - Roberth Karlsson (SCAR SYMMETRY, FACEBREAKER, Ex-PAN.THY.MONIUM) on vocals, Janne Jaloma (DARK FUNERAL, AEON, NIGHT CROWNED) on drums, Jonas Kjellgren (WORLD BELOW, Ex-CENTINEX, Ex-SCAR SYMMETRY) on bass. Quality is guaranteed in all aspects. Jonas Kjellgren is also responsible for recording, mixing and mastering. The result is a recording that will blow you away. And not just the sound. The demonic cover artwork is also a success. The author is BlastArt. The songs are written with that old, honest way and feeling. The gentlemen rely on clear, legible and distinct melodies, which are housed in coffins made of the finest wood. I've been a gravedigger since the 1990s, and IRONMASTER have won me over with their previous album "Thy Ancient Fire" from last year (link to the review is at the bottom of the article). The new one is then even more insistent, chillier. It's very pleasant for me to listen to echoes from that world, to walk with the band among the shadows and to soak up the morbid atmosphere of burials in the ground. "Weapons of Spiritual Carnage" is a record that is for all fans of seemingly abandoned morgues and the morning mist in the cemetery. I can hear the knocking on my coffin again. It's time to go. Death awaits! Sweden's freezing death metal whirlwind! The imprint of darkness and cold!
