Fascinující kontrast! Rád se díval. Vracel se na místo činu a znovu vše prožíval. Rudá krev na bílém těle. Mrtvolný pohled a atmosféra děsivého strachu. Moc dobře věděl, že dnes v noci se oběť v márnici probudí a začne bloudit mezi naším a oním světem. V husté mlze, mezi hroby, ve kterých leží také prokletí. Nemrtví vylezou z děr a budou poslouchat novou desku německo-britských WORMVEIL.
Pokud máte rádi prašivý death metal klasického střihu, plný chladných melodií, neváhejte ani chvilku. Pod touhle kapelou jsou podepsání Jonny Pettersson a Jon Rudin. Myslím, že oba pány netřeba představovat. Na "Overlords of Darkness" opět dokazují, že jsou mistry ve svém oboru. Tahle deska pálí jako rozžhavené železo!
Myslím, že není třeba ke komukoliv tuhle smečku přirovnávat. Je zcela jasné, že pokud hrajete starý, poctivý kov smrti, jste někomu podobní. Ale troufám si tvrdit, že to není zase tolik důležité. Hlavní je, že riffy řežou tou správnou stranou ostří, že bicí duní jako o závod a vokál připomíná bestii. Ze songů je cítit určitá melancholie i takový ten opravdový a upřímný vztek. Při poslechu si opravdu připadám, jako bych navštěvoval zlá a ošklivá místa, na kterých se stalo něco šíleného. Kapky zaschlé krve, ale hlavně temnota a chlad, které jsou cítit z každého motivu, z každé melodie. Beznaděj, ano to je to správné slovo, které mě napadá asi nejčastěji. Mám rád nahrávky, které mají dobrý zvuk i obal a obojí splnila kapela na výbornou. WORMVEIL vás vezmou na mrazivý výlet do močálů. Bloudí v nich duše prokletých. Až navěky, amen! Deska si mě postupně získala na svoji stranu a začala kolovat i v mých žilách. Podmínkou je vlastně jenom to, že musíte mít tenhle styl rádi. Syrový, surový smrtící kov, se spoustou ledových melodií není totiž pro každého. Album si tak oblíbí spíše tradičnější posluchači. Patřím mezi ně a "Overlords of Darkness" si užívám všemi póry svého těla. Mám při poslechu neodbytný poslech, že mě někdo sleduje, že když se otočím, tak se mi do břicha zařízne rezavý nůž. Troufám si tvrdit, že se WORMVEIL jejich druhý dlouhohrající počin opravdu povedl. Prašivá, mokvající death metalová choroba!

If you like dusty death metal of classic cut, full of cold melodies, don't hesitate a moment. This band is signed by Jonny Pettersson and Jon Rudin. I think both gentlemen need no introduction. On "Overlords of Darkness" they prove once again that they are masters in their field. This record burns like hot iron!
I don't think there's any need to compare this pack to anyone. It's pretty clear that if you're playing the old, honest-to-goodness death metal, you're similar to someone. But I dare say it's not that important. The main thing is that the riffs are cutting the right side of the blade, the drums are thundering and the vocals resemble a beast. There is a certain melancholy and a real and sincere anger in the songs. Listening to it, I really feel like I'm visiting a bad and ugly place where something crazy has happened. Drops of dried blood, but mostly darkness and coldness that can be felt from every motif, every melody. Hopelessness, yes that's the word that comes to mind most often. I like records that have a good sound and cover and the band has done both to perfection. WORMVEIL take you on a chilling trip to the swamps. The souls of the damned roam there. Forever and ever, amen! The album gradually won me over and started to circulate in my veins. The only condition is that you have to like the style. Raw, raw death metal with lots of icy melodies is not for everyone. So the album will appeal to more traditional listeners. I'm one of them and I enjoy "Overlords of Darkness" with every pore of my body. I have an insistent feeling of being followed while listening to it, that when I turn around, a rusty knife will cut into my stomach. I dare say that WORMVEIL has really succeeded with their second full-length effort. A mangy, swamping death metal disease!
