Třídím staré kosti už dlouhé roky. Většinu svého života jsem strávil v márnicích, na hřbitovech a mezi hroby. Mám velkou úctu k mrtvým i k démonům, kteří nás chodí někdy navštěvovat. Stejně tak miluju hudbu, která dokáže vyjádřit temnotu. Obdivuji kapely, které hrají od srdce, poctivě a umí do skladeb otisknout černé stíny.
Italské DEVANGELIC sleduji od jejich počátků. Vždycky se mi líbila nekompromisní brutalita, která je z jejich hudby cítit na několik kilometrů, Zároveň si zachovali čitelnost a schopnost mě pohřbít zaživa. Letos vydali nové album s názvem "Xul". Znovu máme co do činění se zaříkáváním zlých démonů. Tak se pohodlně usaďte, zatemněte okna a nechte do svých duší vstoupit chlad.
DEVANGELIC patří do stejných katakomb, ze kterých vzešly smečky jako SUFFOCATION, DISGORGE, DISENTOMB, CONDEMNED, PUTRIDITY, BRODEQUIN, BEHEADED. Samozřejmostí je potom skvělý masivní a zabijácký zvuk (Stefano Morabito - Producer, Mixing, Mastering) i děsivý obal (Nick Keller). Během poslechu se ocitám v poušti a do očí mě pálí slunce. Když potom nastane tma, ochladí se a zlé síly ze starých časů ovládnou svět. O tom, že existuje ještě život po životě vím já, kapela i všichni nemrtví, kteří musí navěky bloudit ve tmě. Skladby jsou napsány velmi zajímavě, mají v sobě přesně namíchaný poměr mezi hrubostí, agresivitou i chladnými melodiemi. Novinka je velmi intenzivní, šílená, maniakální deska, která by mohla zaujmout nejen fanoušky tohoto stylu. Přesahuje i do jiných oblastí. V některých momentech je více technická, nebál bych se napsat i lehce progresivní. I po několika dnech poslechu je stále co objevovat. Jakoby mi po ruce lezl velký krvelačný skarabeus. Stejně jako hudba, se mi dostane brzy pod kůži a nakazí mojí krev pradávnou chorobou. Moje kosti se rozpadnou v prach, stanu se stínem, tichým šepotem v záhrobí. "Xul" je nahrávkou, která musela vzniknout v Hádově říši. Hluboko pod zemí, v místech, kde se rodí démoni. Album vám mohu rozhodně doporučit. Má v sobě vše potřebné, pro dlouhé chvíle v márnicích. Tlak, energii i nekonečnou tmu. Brutální, temné ozvěny z onoho světa! Řev démonů!

I've been sorting old bones for years. I've spent most of my life in morgues, cemeteries and amongst graves. I have great respect for the dead and for the demons that sometimes visit us. I also love music that can express the darkness. I admire bands that play from the heart, with honesty, and can imprint black shadows in their songs.
I've been following Italian DEVANGELIC since their early days. I've always liked the uncompromising brutality that can be felt for miles in their music, at the same time they have retained a legibility and the ability to bury me alive. This year they released a new album called "Xul". Once again, we're dealing with the conjuring of evil demons. So sit back, darken the windows and let the cold enter your souls.
DEVANGELIC belongs to the same catacombs from which packs like SUFFOCATION, DISGORGE, DISENTOMB, CONDEMNED, PUTRIDITY, BRODEQUIN, BEHEADED emerged. Of course, there is a great massive and killer sound (Stefano Morabito - Producer, Mixing, Mastering) and an awesome cover (Nick Keller). I find myself in the desert while listening to it and the sun is burning my eyes. Then when darkness falls, it gets cold and evil forces from the old days take over the world. I, the band, and all the undead who must wander in the darkness forever know that there is life after life. The songs are written in a very interesting way, they have a precise mix between roughness, aggression and cold melodies. The new album is a very intense, manic record that might interest not only fans of this style. It crosses over into other areas as well. At some moments it is more technical, I wouldn't be afraid to write even slightly progressive. Even after a few days of listening there is still a lot to discover. It's like a big bloodthirsty scarab crawling up my arm. Like the music, it soon gets under my skin and infects my blood with an ancient disease. My bones will crumble to dust, I will become a shadow, a silent whisper in the beyond. "Xul" is a record that must have been made in Hades. Deep underground, in the place where demons are born. An album I can definitely recommend. It's got everything you need for a long time in the morgue. The pressure, the energy and the endless darkness. Brutal, dark echoes from the other world! The roar of demons!
