Něco bylo špatně, divně se kýval, nakláněl na jednu stranu a vydával děsivé zvuky. Potkal jsem ho na ulici a nevěděl jsem, co říct. Záchvaty vzteku, krev v očích, pohled šelmy. Zavřeli ho do studené kobky a navrtali mu lebku. Pouštěli mu novou desku kanadských death metalistů IGNOMINY. Pomalu, postupně, se dostal do jiné dimenze, do světa nekonečných stínů.

Kanaďané hrají velmi technicky, avantgardně. Z jejich hudby jsem od prvních setkání cítil zvláštní neklid. Jako bych se opravdu díval do tváře šíleného muže. Není to lehký poslech. Musíte mít mysl otevřenou a vaše fantazie musí létat. Každopádně, album se rozhodně povedlo. Posuďte sami a poslouchejte pořádně nahlas.

IGNOMINY lze v určitých momentech přirovnat k tomu, co hrají a skládají kapely typu Dysgnostic, Gorguts, Ulcerate, Norse, Sunless, Dischordia, Noctambulist. Neleznete zde spoustu zajímavých, zvláštních momentů. Budete se dívat do popraskaného zrcadla a váš obličej bude od krve. Ano, "Imminent Collapse" je nahrávkou, která bolí, pálí a žhne. Zadře se vám pod kůži a dostanete sněť. S tím si můžete být jistí. Jakoby mě někdo zavřel do temné místnosti a opravdu mi navrtal lebku. Přímo do mozku, s účelem změny vědomí. Skladby jsou vystavěny opravdu pečlivě, pestře a košatě. Zároveň, a to je pro mě velmi důležité, se velmi dobře poslouchají. Nejedná se jen o obyčejná, dnes tolik typická preludia bez konce. Naopak, kapela se drží jasných a zřetelných motivů. Staví je opatrně, s elegancí. Hudba neztrácí drive a sílu. Schválně, zkuste to sami. Zhasněte všechna světla a pusťte si album několikrát po sobě. Uvidíte, že dojde k vzájemnému přenosu. Popadne vás tíseň, smutek, vztek, budete mít pocit, že vám někdo stojí okovanou botou na prsou. The songs are built really carefully, colourfully and vividly. At the same time, and this is very important for me, they are very easy to listen to. These are not just ordinary, nowadays so typical preludes without end. On the contrary, the band sticks to clear and distinct motifs. They build them carefully, with elegance. The music does not lose its drive and power. Try it for yourself. Turn off all the lights and play the album several times in a row. You'll see that there will be a mutual transmission. You'll be overwhelmed, sad, angry, you'll feel like someone is standing with a boot on your chest. I dare say, and I'll sign it with my own blood, that the album was really good. In every aspect. The sound, the artwork, the ideas, everything fits into place. And you can enjoy music that will blow you to atoms. Avant-garde death metal from the dark depths of the human mind!
