Ticho před bouří. Mraky jsou nízko. První riff, první záblesk. Bomby padají k zemi a městem se ozývá nářek raněných. Psychoteror, šílenství, temnota a Smrt. Historie se opakuje s krutou pravidelností. Toulám se prázdnými ulicemi a cítím nekonečný chlad. Potkávám duše zemřelých a přemýšlím, proč? Odpověď nepřichází. Místo toho si pouštím stále dokola novou desku německých démonů DISCREATION a připadám si, jako bych byl opravdu na místech, která byla nedávno bombardována.

Novinka je velmi temným a chladným albem. Je po okraj narvaná vztekem, takový tím opravdovým vztekem a skvělým smrtícím řemeslem. Novým zpěvákem kapely je legendární vokalista s dynamitem v hrdle - Marc Grewe (MORGOTH, INISDIOUS DISEASE). A odvedl vynikající výkon, stejně jako všichni ostatní, neméně zkušení muzikanti. Kapela je ve skvělé formě a vrátila se, aby vám vyrvala vnitřnosti z těla.

Němci hrají takový ten starý, poctivý death metal, který se valí kupředu jako buldozer. Ostré riffy, pasáže, u kterých vám popraskají všechny kosti v těle, ale i spousta chladných a monumentálních momentů. Každá skladba má jasný, nosný a čitelný motiv, jede kupředu a nezná slitování. Tohle je přesně typ hudby pro staré metalové psy, jako jsem já. Kývám se do rytmu, vzpomínám na zlatou éru smrtícího kovu a tvářím se spokojeně. "Iron Times" má totiž skvělý zvuk (Alexander Krull - Producer, Mixing, Mastering, Marc Wüstenhagen - Producer (vocals), Recording (Vocals)). Řeže mě, pálí a žhne, je jako kus tavícího se železa, které vám pánové hodí do rukou. Popáleniny třetího stupně jsou záručeny! Zaujal mě i obal (Björn Gooßes) a to natolik, že jsem si ihned objednal tričko. Motiv se mi opravdu líbí a krásně doplňuje morbidní nápady, které na nahrávce naleznete. DISCREATION vás vezmou na výlet bez konce, do temných katakomb, na bojiště, kde potkáte samotnou Smrt. Pozdravíte se s přízraky, setkáte se s těmi nejděsivějšími nočními můrami. Budete neustále přidávat hlasitost, jako to dělám já. Nejlépe hluboko v noci, když jsou mraky nízko. Čekáte na první riff, na první záblesk. Pronikne do vašich vnitřností a bude mít třaskavý účinek. "Iron Times" je v podstatě dokonalým albem pro všechny prokleté, pro všechny tmáře a fanoušky dlouhých stínů. Masivní kobercový death metalový nálet! Temný a chladný masakr!

The calm before the storm. The clouds are low. The first riff, the first flash. Bombs fall to the ground and the cries of the wounded echo through the city. Psychoterror, madness, darkness and Death. History repeats itself with cruel regularity. I wander the empty streets and feel the endless cold. I meet the souls of the dead and wonder why? The answer doesn't come. Instead, I play the new album by German demons DISCREATION over and over again and feel like I am really in places that have been bombed recently.

The new album is very dark and cold. It's packed to the brim with rage, the real kind of rage and great death craft. The band's new singer is the legendary vocalist with dynamite in his throat - Marc Grewe (MORGOTH, INISDIOUS DISEASE). And he did an excellent job, as did all the other, no less experienced musicians. The band is in great shape and is back to rip your guts out.

The Germans play that old, honest death metal that rolls forward like a bulldozer. Sharp riffs, passages that will make all the bones in your body crack, but also a lot of cold and monumental moments. Every song has a clear, carrying and readable theme, it goes forward and knows no mercy. This is exactly the type of music for old metal dogs like me. I sway to the rhythm, remembering the golden era of death metal and looking satisfied. Because "Iron Times" has a great sound (Alexander Krull - Producer, Mixing, Mastering, Marc Wüstenhagen - Producer (Vocals), Recording (Vocals)). It cuts me, it burns and glows, it's like a piece of melting iron that the gentlemen throw into your hands. Third degree burns are guaranteed! I was also intrigued by the cover art (Björn Gooßes), so much so that I immediately ordered a t-shirt. I really like the motif and it complements the morbid ideas found on the record beautifully. DISCREATION take you on a journey without end, to the dark catacombs, to the battlefield where you will meet Death himself. You will say hello to ghosts, meet the most terrifying nightmares. You'll keep turning up the volume, like I do. Preferably deep in the night, when the clouds are low. You wait for the first riff, the first flash. It will penetrate your insides and have a shattering effect. "Iron Times" is basically the perfect album for all the damned, for all the darkies and fans of long shadows. A massive carpetbagging death metal onslaught! Dark and cold carnage!
